the problem with this game is the fact of how people are always on each others tail so its hard to win without turbo
I mean, being on each other tails is kinda what racing is about, you are not supposed to have a 3 second advantage on everyone unless you are really good.
The problem with the game is what? That you can't just easily beat everyone else? Weird comment.

I am Diamond 3 80% now and I think bots are getting super aggressive! Just like battle royale you mess with a bot and they’ll be all over you. The packs are tight not just because all racers are great but because half are bots and they maintain their gaps.
@@BariFPV....? I'm genuinely so lost, what servers are you playing on where there's bots in Diamond? I'm also in Diamond and that's just not checking out.
For this kinda video it would be dope to see both perspectives, especially when you comment he is gaining speed on you. Considering the games servers to it would be nice to see the differences. You are both recording anyway I assume.

Ok so yes there has to be a catch up in the game. I’ve died two three times on a map and still end up 2nd-3rd. Its a weird thing.
which I personally think is a bad thing. Ive died was last and came first, there should be absolutely no chance of a come back for me when Im the reason I died. It was my mistake and yet I still came first? thats another thing I hate is when Im first Im literally ahead so far ahead and then at the last second someone drives past me and gets first? how? I was already so far ahead they should not even have a chance to be first when I did everything perfectly.

yo leth just wanted to let you know that I'm D2 40% and I got that Riviera map in ranked today, I don't think the map is out of the ranked playlist but Im pretty sure its a higher ranked track. Also, I got the K2 map in ranked the other day, it might be a beginner track but I'm D2 and still getting it time to time so idk how it works. I think once you get into elite the tracks would start to get more tough but i wouldn't know. It would be interesting to see that dust up 2 map in the ranked! I always loved playing on the original and I don't think I've seen it in ranked yet either, I wish there was a specific map pool set for each rank
i got dust up 2 for the first time playing last night, i ran into so many hazards 😂 i only managed 4th.

D2 here and have definitely played all the expert maps in ranked already
I think i know leths problem: when your speed has a green light you gain speed even while driving normal but if you do small drifts and even far before it might turn normal again then you can t snowball as much.
Leth does like 20% drifts on a straight which let him stay between 600 and 650 but with around 50% drift he could drive between 750 and 700 speed...
maps like the one where leth let danny win have big turns which made leth forcefully use longer drifts... he sometimes destroyed his drift bonus right after with a small drift and went from 800 to 600 right there (21:53)
you can see how efficient longer drifts are at 22:03... so in my opinion on straights you need to use the full space to drift as long as possible or at least more than leth did sometimes
This is true overall but it can be a double edged sword. Sliding back and forth all over the straightaway chasing big drift boost is good for getting a bigger boost and building the drift meter but swerving all over the straightaway also loses you some speed in terms of zig zagging your direction instead of a straight line. Those small drifts cannot be ignored either though, I use them alot to get my speed higher just before drifting through a turn so I can drift through at a higher speed (instead of 570kph) for the 3 seconds the boost is up.
I see some players drift on a straightaway “too much” to where it hurts more than helps.
There’s a balance for sure.
@@SkyMonkey42 yeah with boost, enemies and complex roads it s actually worse but without those its as good as danny showed us.... i think leth actually understood the concept behind the green light on his speed in the vid after this one
Leth you should use the mod when you hit the ball it go’s faster but use that mod in heatseeker

am i the only one that despises that some tracks have like a border that stops you from doing any remotely cool shortcuts? like that triangle geometric cylinder around the track, i hate it
This game is almost there. But horrible servers, different race views for everyone, constant lava in dumb places, lack of freedom, and the fact that you go slower the closer you are to first to group everyone together is extremely annoying
Yeah but the handicap only helps so much. Some players are so good that the handicap makes no difference. As an example, racing on “Anaconda” even someone with the handicap benefit still won’t catch you if they are drifting too wide while you are nailing the intense sharp turns.
It also depends on track.
Next video: only Leth gets no turbo.

I don’t think I’ll get past Diamond 2 or 3. It’s sweaty up here and I don’t like the tracks with all the orange obstacles you have to avoid. And every player is constantly bumping into me killing my speed.
keep going man i had the same problem but I just waited a day or 2 for more people to get higher up in rank. Next time I played the lobbies were a lot easier to deal with.
It’s because everyone fights over the same lines. It’s usually a pain when you’re on a track that doesn’t have options of shortcuts or routes.
Not sure when u recorded this but i know as of now k2 and riviera are definitely in ranked
That second to last map is in the lower ranks. I played it at least 4-6 times the past couple of days

I'm not Lethamyr but it is found by these white streaks going on the outside of your car. Drifting looks like clouds and drafting... well, doesn't.

I didn't really hate it, moreso just disappointed at the start of the game. And I think the first tracks are super boring which unfortunately will be what the majority of players will experience for the first 10 hours of gameplay

When i was in gold i raced on K2 Raceway most every time.
Okay... I'm only suggesting all this because I know you could make it happen, and you would enjoy it from a content and discussion perspective (if you could endure the recording process).
Do a Rocket Racing PC vs Switch comparison video! You could switch (hehe) between footage of the same race, or run the footage side by side. The most hilarious thing would be to simultaneously control both games with one controller. Fyi, the Switch literally has only 4gb ram, and typically continues input lag on a hardware level, regardless of game (5 frames on Smash Ultimate, for instance).
For that matter, even Rocket League is a much worse experience on Switch, regardless of "performance mode." I like to react to my opponent's decisions in game, and the Switch makes that nearly impossible. You will get faked, be angry, and receive broken ankles. JaCoco would be a perfect opponent to show you how bad it is.

After playing rocket racing on the switch and then playing it on PS4 and PC. The switch version is just awful as It runs at 30-40 FPS at best. It’s so much smoother and better on any other modern system.

Yep that’s the internet speed problem. I’ve also boosted past someone by at least over 1/2 a second margin and I was 2nd place. It’s the worst when your time is an exact tie and they give it to the one with faster network speed.

That’s assuming you are one of the few that knows of the shortcuts. When you have all 12 racers using them too, the shortcuts hold less value in terms of having an edge.

This game isn't skill cause it has catch up feature so when you screw up you can carhup its dumb. Then they rank this garne like it's skilled.

Yo leth this is pure construction criticism, but i feel the rocket racing should be on your second channel, since its technically fortnight , but still your my favorite rl content creator and i learn alot from your videos i always watch one before i hop in ranked to get a visual warm up , your doing great , keep it up
