I just realized how horrible being a map maker must actually be. You never know how long what you make will last. Every update would be fear inducing lol
The biggest issue is, the more creative the map is, the less likely it is to work in the future, like dropshot maps

For a sec I thought this was going to be about the main game state. Yesterday I played and servers were horrible in every match for every player and there is one of the new grass map that had huge green and black rectangles all over the screen. Most likely assets mega-stretching, but it was very hard to play without seeing anything.
Game idea: You play against friends but you have to watch your stream, not your gaming monitor. Idk if that would work, maybe change the timing on it idk. Just feel like it would be interesting to watch. Love your content bro! My favorites are definitely the air dribble challenges against friends and the ruins one with all the totems thingies lol

Still mad that psyonix gets rid of snowday for one season, then dropshot for the next, then snowday etc. JUST because they wanted to fit extra game modes on the competitive section and are too braindead to figure it out so they just get rid of an entire game mode.

To be fair, it is possible that the reason they are changing the names is because they are adjusting the spaghetti code that way they can make proper updates. This could be copium, but they seem to have been releasing solid updates recently, so I have more hope now then I did when they removed trading, for example.

I don't know how they did it but they broke textures and some physics / collisions. Some wheels and other items have broken or missing textures, and in FREEPLAY (so not lag related) I slowly drove the ball to the wall for a soft pinch without flipping and the ball went the opposite direction. I was under it to the right of the ball and it went to the right. I've noticed rumble powers not working properly at times, but that could be lag or servers, example being having ball with spikes and not gaining speed while driving forward and boosting, no other players near by and no other powers active. I could keep going haha

Unrelated related note, creator of PlatformDisplay...they won't stop touching the scoreboard and it's annoying having to move it up or down every time RL updates...but why should they care about us 3rd party mods and tools...we aren't like the only reason why RL is still usable.
Next Challenge: Quiditch Map, No match length, it continues until Zurx scores. Should make for about a 20 min video LMAO

I have been complaining about RL breaking the custom map textures for 2 yrs. I was goin to learn how to make the maps so I can go fix the textures in all my favorite maps that are broken cause that would be easier then getting RL to stop breaking the maps. Kinda sad
yo make the ball a car hit box and everything but with ball physics, maybe 2 models, one as the normal hit box used and one that matches the car better
octanes hitting an octane and they all are the same color so it might take a sec to figure out which is the ball

This in not uncommon in games guys. The map making community is essentially a modding community and if you look at other games, mods break almost every update. I just dont feel like the hate on RL is warranted here

Remember, it's not rocket league anymore. It hasn't been rocket league since Epic bought it and stole the game from Mac and Linux users. This is just Epic being Epic. Psyonix has been dead for a long time.
