I truly understand everyone's reaction here as during the first listen, I also thought I'm gonna love Drip more than Real Love but as I listen to Real Love more, I understand its charm and why it's the title track. It definitely gets better after every listen. Real Love also being sentimental and the perfect gift for their fanclub's birthday is also a big reason why it's the title track. 😊
After a few more watches and listens to the MV I kind of like it more now. Considering the title of "Real Love" the song gave what felt like different representations of love. The beginning being cute and pink, then dipped into flirty and curious, back to light and happy, then the bridge smacks you like how love at first sight might hit you, then uplifting giddy smiles to the end. I never really gave it much thought until I watched it a few more times and it made me appreciate the title track a lot more. Maybe that is the emotional rollercoaster to how one becomes a Miracle when falling for Oh My Girl lol. 😄
Oh my girl didn't have to go so hard on this album. I don't say this often but this is one of the best albums as a whole I've ever heard in my life. Drip deserves title track seriously.
I love how Oh my girl always have a bright and hopeful image but yet their bad ass - girl crush - soulful - different genres tracks are always neatly tucked inside their albums. What a smart move!! So never underestimate the power of oh my girl.
I agree that drip being the tt would have been epic. I’m hoping it pulls a dolphin because it doesn’t deserve to be unnoticed by the casual kpop listener.
These energies, kind and warm vibes that OMG are giving off are the reasons why their fans are feeling comforted. They encompass a vibe that feels very comforting and makes one feel happy inside. They feel like they are your friends, not your idols. It's hard to explain but when you feel it you would know it. Such a humble, inspiring and fantastic group. Seriously, music by good musicians are really a healer to our tired souls. I am glad i found OMG and their voices and energies are really great! Their music and shows MUST continue to thrive.🥹❤️
The choreo for drip is also insane tho. Me as a miracle really really hope that drip was the tittle track to be honest tho😂 and I really love your honest reaction😘 can't wait for you others reaction on the rest of the album♥️
In my honest opinion, Drip would be a great title track but not a title track released in spring and not for this album, that's why i think real love was the better title track choice and it's so fresh i LOVE IT! Thank you for your honest reaction i always appreciate it!
i feel so alone loving the chorus for real love at first listen and not liking drip as much😭 real love just puts me in such a good mood! but im happy you listened to the album right after, all the different sounds is really an experience. love your reactions and thoughts as always!!
The vibe of "eden" reminded me of their other bside "my doll" which was actually my favorite kpop bside last year(like absolute favorite out of all the bsides in kpop...song slaps so hard)
I had never listened Oh my girl till this video and I can totally say that dripping is a really good song .I liked replay and Eden too. This is really interesting to me this video just popped up on my RUclips and I randomly click. I didn't expect liking something
initially hearing real love, i was a little underwhelmed but watching the live performance of real love is so healing like it’s so calming… BUT ALSO THE MINUTE I HEARD DRIP I KNEW I NEEDED TO SEE YOUR REACTION LOL
WE HAD THE SAME REACTION FOR DRIP. I LOVE THAT SONG SO MUCH DEF ONE OF MY FAV BSIDES THIS YEAR. I THINK THEIR COMPANY WANTED THEIR TITLE TRACK TO BE LIKE "DUN DUN DANCE" CUZ IT WAS A HIT IN KOREA BUT I THINK A CHANGE OF SOUND WOULD BE MUCH BETTER FOR THEM. ALSO, THE OTHER BSIDES ARE SO GOOD AS WELL SO IM EXCITED FOR THAT ❤️
Sera from ex k pop group nine muses says watching oh my girl touches your inner core emotions.. she teared up. I can totally see why and understand. It may seem like a cheerful main title track but in a deeper level, it is also hopeful, nostalgic and sentimental. Oh my girl songs always have a deeper meaning to them, one just need to look deeper :) Love the old Hollywood vibes in this music video. Love oh my girl!
On March 28, Oh My Girl held an online press showcase for their new full-length album “Real Love”! Seunghee excitedly commented, “I’m so happy and it’s such an honor to be able to release our second full-length album. We’ve filled [the album] with topics regarding ‘what kind of music we’re trying out’ and ‘what kind of stories we wanted to tell you’ as Oh My Girl. Please carefully listen to each and every track.” “Real Love” is Oh My Girl’s first release in about 10 months since “Dear OHMYGIRL” and their first full-length album in nearly three years since “The Fifth Season.” Regarding the album, YooA shared, “On top of Oh My Girl’s bright and bubbly image, I think this is an album that shows our strong and mature image.” Mimi described their title track “Real Love,” saying, “It’s a song that captures the moment you fall in love, when everything in the world looks unfamiliar. It contains a lot of new emotions. Depending on the context or personal experience you match it to while listening, the atmosphere will be different.” When Jiho first heard the “Real Love” demo, she thought it was mysterious with various charms. She elaborated, “The beginning has a bright tone, but once you get to the end, there’s an overwhelming feeling. While recording, I worked hard to emphasize this atmosphere. In order to express the development between verse one and two, I sang the second chorus more brightly.” Yubin chimed in, “Because of the easy melody, it got stuck in my head. I thought that if we performed this music, we would express it really well. When I heard the song, I could easily draw the overarching picture, such as ‘this member should sing this part.'” Hyojung commented, “We take responsibility for our album preparations as a whole. Among the members, we find it important to talk a lot about how enjoyable the [preparation] process was and how much we understand the album. Since we’re a group that has steadily grown since our debut, rather than dwell on results, it’s more like, ‘Let’s do it again,’ ‘Let’s show them our song.’ We will work hard and take even more responsibility.” Mimi candidly continued, “Honestly, there’s always a desire for [positive] results, but there’s no pressure at all. Especially this time, I realized that you can’t prioritize results whenever you do something. I have belief in my members and I know that they will do well. That’s why there’s no pressure at all and we won’t think about results.” This April, Oh My Girl will celebrate their seventh debut anniversary. For reasons why they’ve received so much love throughout their career, the group picked “the friendship between members” and their “uniquely positive energy.” Seunghee commented, “While there are a lot of reasons, the biggest thing that allows me to receive love from the public is that I first learned how to love myself thanks to my members. I believe that our teamwork has gotten better because we support and comfort one another.” Arin continued, “Ever since I was a trainee, we’ve dreamed together of this image of Oh My Girl now. I’m proud because I think we’ve become a cooler Oh My Girl than we imagined, and I want to tell my members that they’ve worked hard.” Lastly, the group shared their goals for these promotions to be winning first place on a music show and becoming a perfume-like group that can help air out your mood. Hyojung shared, “We want to become a group that’s like the perfume you always seek out, the scent that allows you to reminisce, and the perfume that makes you excited for tomorrow.”
drip would’ve blown up internationally as global fans tends to vibe with gcrush sounds tbh lol and i do agree it is more of a title track than real love but i love the sentimentality of real love and the poetic lyrics it has. it leans more to oh my girl’s color as a group. 🥰
That’s why it should have been the title cos people might hear the title track and then just not bother with the album~ hopefully they’ll go for something a lil more daring the next comeback like ‘nonstop’ cos they really deserve the recognition!
@@fifizappareacts the girls and the composers backing them up seems to enjoy experimenting with their music so ig let’s just cross our fingers on their next comeback that they do a title that’s out of the box and just as much of a banger as nonstop was or even drip. on the brighter side tho, real love surprisingly is well received too and that makes me happy. ^^
i think a lot of groups make some of their b-sides to seem like what should have been their title track to promote their album as a whole and not just the title track, which is sort of smart ig haha and the way so many people agree how drip would be great title track material (maybe bc of the production and more fast paced energy haha) even though I loved listening to real love too which yes I agree with people saying real love is more of a smooth spring song!
i agree real love after the first listen feels lacking but it has grown in me once i listened to it many times. its a healing song and comfort me so much. its best title track because its also a gift to miracles on miracle day. thats okay. i hope next cb, they would do something similar to drip because i know ut will be a big hit in the future!
Ah yes, people confusingly loving the bside as much, or even more, than the title track. As is OMG tradition lol Anyway, Drip is actually the bside they're going to perform in music shows alongside Real Love. So if y'all like it so much, be sure to check out their stages!
Love hearing your opinions Fifi! I had a feeling you'd love the bridge of Real Love but not vibe with the rest. Totally agree bridge was 10/10. I was a bit worried I wouldn't like the title track myself but the bridge really saved it for me. The B-sides though are incredible. Watching their live performances had always been my preference for their title and B-side promo song. It might be worth checking out (at least for their Drip performance). Looking forward to the rest of your reaction for this album!
Ok I love drip too but toxic netizens are gonna say they changed their concept and image and they are trying too hard. Not to forget, WM always keep some of potential tracks as b sides! I also understood the direction WM has been taking with oh my girl. They still want to preserve the dreamy sweet fantasy sounds oh my girl is known for. Moreover real love will be more suitable for spring!
I do like Real Love, it's great spring driving music and it makes me happy, but I always prefer OMG's b-sides and this album is no exception! Thank you for reacting to the girls ♥
I also didn't like the chorus the first time i listened, but now i'm ok with it and the bridge killed omg so goood!! I was really looking forward for your reaction to drip i knew you would like it lol thank you for the reaction love you!!
I feel you, im not nearly as sick of the retro sound and even I sighed when i heard the first teaser. I think Drip should have been the title and Eden should have been the main bside. Eden is my fav track by far, it has that sweet and comforting sound that is so Oh My Girl
Drip is certainly my favourite. 👍 Eden is a close runner up tho, especially the ending part had a certain comforting-progressive-house style which reminded me a lot of a relatively unknown artist on soundcloud: Manu Lei. Their songs are also built from one or two carrying beats on top of which several beautiful synth/piano/bell/chop melodies are layered. Didn't mean to promote but if you liked the style in Eden you might want to check him out in your free time, especially songs like 'Tasukete', 'Ja Ne', 'Umaru' and 'Yahallo' evoked a similar vibe for me.
replay sounds like a fashion show's background music. somehow it reminds me of something like magazines? like model and chanel and gucci yk what i mean 😹(loving that) and personally drip should be the main tt however real love is fine just nice and it'll grow in me later.
I feel like when choosing the title track, they're being careful as Oh My Girl is known for their image, which is innocence, elegant and recently, fun. But I agree with you, Real Love is good but kinda weak compare to their previous discography. Btw, please react to Pixy and their discography, fifi. I need more influencing reactors to help promote them hgudfhgsjdfh
I wish i was a part of the decision maker on what song is chosen as a title. In 2022 most of the releases were where bsides slapped so hard and the title feels inferior compared to title. First it was weeekly's ven para and now this.
So in the minute 4:40 I hear this weird sound in the Highgnote and I really can't tell if that was made on purpose or is just an error in the song because it actually sounds out of place, please lemme know what you all think
I was just like you when I heard the B sides, it's so amazing. Why is Real Love the title???? Every song on this album is so good and awesome, why did they choose Real Love to represent this masterpiece?
personally, i think Real Love is better suited for a title track. Drip is a great B-side and I hope it have the same success as dolphin. But I think if Drip is a title track, it will be similar to other title tracks from other Girl groups but both songs are great for repeats.... I hope their songs stays for a long time in the music chart. (replay hits hard and the rest of the B-sides are great)
Mimi needs to calm down in the mv that's all I know. Great visuals but kind of boring and forgettable in the chorus. I like the verses much better with that low beat underneath. That bridge though!!!!!! Gorgeous!!! Drip is filthy I love it. Great bsides on this album.
Haha there are parts of Drip that I absolutely love, but there are parts that seem disharmonious to me… Ah but to be honest Real Love took several listens to grow on me. It definitely isn’t my favorite, but I see it’s strong points.
You’re missing something lmao the chorus was definitely 70’s / city pop inspired... the instrumentation, the beat, the drum pads and the synths at times. It wasn’t a carbon copy replica like I said but the elements were still there.

it's not a good tittle, as NONSTOP or even Dun Dun Dance. That's a bored comeback.
The 3-hit combo of Drip, Eden, and Replay gave me one of the most wonderful listening experiences this year!!
Same same same
Oh my girl didn't have to go so hard on this album. I don't say this often but this is one of the best albums as a whole I've ever heard in my life.

Glad that you reacted to the b-sides. Real love is probably the most unreceived title track by oh my girl ever but the bridge is a good surprise.

I came here to say exactly this! Listen to My Doll all the time. Oh My Girl’s b-sides are some of the best

the chorus of the title grows on you quickly imo
The way the other b-sides literally OFFERED what Fifi asked for after hearing the title track. This can't be pure coincidence 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Literally every b-side here could be the title yet not the title itself, i'm upset drip would've caused so much hype!
Haha there are parts of Drip that I absolutely love, but there are parts that seem disharmonious to me…
Ah but to be honest Real Love took several listens to grow on me. It definitely isn’t my favorite, but I see it’s strong points.
Title track is meh for me. But the b-sidesssssssssss. Especially replay is so goood
"Real Love" is not a bad song, but it is a faceless and as bland as bread in my opinion. A lot of b-sides outweighs the title track. 9/10 album.
The title track had absolutely nothing to do with throwback disco sounds at all or am i missing something here ?
You’re missing something lmao the chorus was definitely 70’s / city pop inspired... the instrumentation, the beat, the drum pads and the synths at times. It wasn’t a carbon copy replica like I said but the elements were still there.
@@fifizappareacts i didn't got that vibe from it but fair enough
the title track is kinda bland for me. definitely one of their weakest yet. but the b-sides are awesome
Still grieving cos they didn’t make drip the title

drip not being the title took me out😔😔
No offense but you looks drunk during replay 😂😂
