  • The Intermittent fasting relationship style. Can it work for you? Maybe NOT seeing each other alot is the key to enriching a relationship and even starting a relationship?
Working w/laser focus five days a week & prospering. THEN seeing ur mate/partner/spouse 2 days/wk.
The intermittent fasting version of relationships.
This could work 4 me. Could it work for u?
That question can immediately calibrate ur "neediness" ....or does it?

I had my fiancé leave to her parents and I went on a 36 hour isolation into my room, no light, window and doors blocked off. Felt very rejuvenated but after I came out it even rejuvenated my relationship.
Men used to leave for days, to hunt, to track, to conquer and then come home. Time apart is healthy

I have been married almost 32 yrs, and the last 18 of those yrs have been spent working side by side with my husband, every day, to build the business we created those many yrs ago. It is not for the faint of heart, to be sure. He would tell you that I often say to him, "you need to go hang out with the guys" ...so he does. I think we have made it this far because we decided to.The right kind of "space" is a wonderful thing!

You mention being a care taker, I remember when I was a child in 1999 I was the care taker for my mother who died of cancer that year. My dad made the choice to be gone most of the time. Pretty much all my mom had were her nurses and me. I will never forget the strength I saw her display. I think she is where I got my strength from. My father died in 2001, I still resent him for many reasons. I do not believe that I will forgive him anytime soon for all the things he put on me at such a young age. that time was really full of struggle but yet there was beautiful lessons embedded in that struggle.

My wife will usually come visit me once, and if I'm on day shift, she will rent a room and we will stay together. We are very excited to see each other. Yes, we are also normally very excited to participate in nude adult activities with one another as well. Absence usually does make the heart grow fonder. As a social worker myself I hear so much "advice" given which is beyond laughable and a poor attempt at being a "for fun" therapist online. Most "masculinity vloggers" are poorly veiled actors and the amateur hour of one shot and poor clinical engagement with men. If they had to talk to the same guy for more than 5 or sessions, their lack of skill would be blatantly obvious to all. I've watched a bunch of your stuff now and it's satisfyingly positive and balanced, without those corny absolutes or "get laid now" schemes. I’m 34 and I went through all phases of life so early, from the top to the bottom, I was surrounded by lovers & haters, I was loved & cheated, I was rich & broke, I was hugged & stabbed, but eventually I became what I am now. A free man, who struggles to increase his space of freedom and to help other “ healthy “ people to reach their goals, and avoiding the BS in this life.
I agree with most of what Bruno says, if you don’t “ establish “ a solid psychology in this world, then you’re never gonna make it. To reach this state of mind you need experience, patience, and a lot of stamina. Otherwise you’ll end up making wrong choices again and again, repeating the same mistakes !

Wow!!!!!! Where do I begin, perhaps at the beginning!!! My life thus far in capsule form, first marriage, he was 21 & I was nineteen, went to my fathers house into my husbands house with "NO" experience of the outside or real world!!!! Had one child with this marriage, 6 1/2 yrs. into the marriage. Everything was wonderful, we were inseparable,we both loved the outdoors, working together on projects etc. When our son came along he too enjoyed everything with mom & dad.We moved from PA. where we were all born to Maine, where we always took family vacations. It was our dream to enjoy the great outdoors in beautiful Maine!! We lived in Maine four years working hard, husband having a full time job, myself having a full time job in the school so that I could be off in the summer to be home for the boy. Also we were running a 175 acre farm. My husband was a workaholic.
And then it happened, after 20yrs. of marriage my husband shares with me that he has been having an affair and will be moving out!!! I was left with a thirteen yr.old boy who loved his father, and all other family was in PA. I never took care of myself, now I was faced with also taking care of my son, for you see my husband ignored his son for a whole year! To say the least it was hell. Divorce came, farm had to be sold, son graduated from high school, son went into the Coast Guard for 12 Yrs.
I stayed single for 6 1/2 yrs. met husband # 2 at my place of work where he also became an employee. Again, we were inseparable, drove to work together, food shopping together, traveled together, turned camp into home. Were married for 15yrs., but have to say the last five years were hell, I felt so smothered, had lost all my own identity, wasn't doing anything that I enjoyed on my own like before, simple things like kayaking, photography ,walking in the woods, just being connected with nature!!! The house literally became divided, just like we painted a line down the middle, there was honestly no hanky panky going on from either spouse. He was a man who did not like confrontation, but I knew this couldn't go on, not good for him or me! I was not looking to destroy this man emotionally, finacialy or any other way just like I did not do with husband # 1. That is not who I'am.
So I started the talking and we both agreed on the divorce, did our own divorce, agreed on the division of all we had together, I'am now single for another 5 yrs. and husband #2 and myself remain good friends! Unfortunately, husband # 1 died of a massive heart attack at way to young of age of 47,he had no siblings, mother and father deceased's I take care of his cemetery plot faithfully.
I guess I'am missing this female gene that if you go thru divorce" FUCK HIM OVER",I never took a cent of husband # 2 either of his two pensions, the girl who got married at 19,was left on the farm to raise a 13 yr. old son learned damn soon had to take care of herself!!!
My point of this whole tale is this, the first marriage with child, we forgot what it was like to date one another, we built our whole life around our son and forgot about us as a couple. The second marriage, we never had our " ALONE" time, we honestly smothered one another to the point of lost self identity!! Don't feel guilty for spending time apart,,,,,,,,,,AMEN

I've been watching The Sultan for a couple of years. Found him during my divorce while starting a new job. I turned 41 yesterday. He had something to do with that. Be it a small part. But a watch doesn't work even if its missing its smallest gear. Or even a tooth on its smallest gear.
Dear sir, you help keep certain trains on the track. Espeacially in the mornings. When your achey and cold and dreading work. He gave me something to focus on to help get me over the hump at every creeky, creepy morning.
    Thank you Mr. Bruno.

Relationship fasting has been a natural process for me and my significant other. We both have our own children from different relationship and jobs that demand long hours. The short time we lived together everything went to shit. When we live apart and see each other one maybe 2 nights a week everything is fine.

I don’t quite know what it is but I find myself drawn to your videos I think it’s because I only have to listen, there’s no talking required. And you make me think on levels I don’t see for myself, which I think I really need right now. I’m a British veteran with severe PTSD and depression which I have medication and counselling for but I’ve also been up and down in other areas of life however when I’m alone with my pipe, tobacco and of course a coffee you aid in some way to ease me and help me see clearly - and the funny thing is I’m very much a proud man that feels capable of dealing with myself - but it seems that’s not the case. I need help. I’m getting help. You help. you didn’t know that until now and you still don’t know ME, that’s pretty amazing I think. And BTW............thanks man! Barry.

I like that Dr. Dispenza said you should romance the future more than the past. Live in the moment and you can't be depressed or anxious. If you really focus on it. God bless.

One of the greatest philosophers of the modern age was Rush drummer Neil Peart. Their song Entre Nous says it perfectly: "The spaces in between, leave room, for you and I to grow."
    Beautiful.

Started on this road three years ago. I did not realize it was called stoicism. It just seemed the right direction. It seemed to be what I needed and it seemed to be an aspect of Christianity that has fallen by the wayside long, long ago. I have since learned about stoicism. Everything good in stoicism exists in Christianity, though few modern Christians seem to see it.

Man love your channel and your words of wisdom. Great information. I had a pretty nasty breakup. Were I had to walk away and make the decision to leave. But I thank God I had the balls and the strength to walk away all by myself and lived in my car for months after but slowly but surely I picked myself up after feeling sorry for myself. I just realized that my happiness is within me and loving myself. And learning to be happy alone. But still be there for my children thank you again and Namaste

I am reading now "Philosophy for life and other dangerous situations" - Jules Evans. Besides recommending it to the Moon and back, stoicism is studied and present in several chapters. Quite fascinating.

For those that have had turbulent lives (childhood, relationships, etc...), stoicism is a must. Don't believe what the haters say about it. The man with the ability to control his emotions is the one that lives the fullest life.

Wish I could take care of someone that needs quality care. Value living day to day. Im not going to write a novel but I can live in the solution not the conflict. You are very fortunate. Vetting women is absurd. She should be who she is in her world. We are all the same. That is the problem. I fasted for 6 days and after the 3 rd day I stopped being hungry.I just drank water. By the 6 th day I was the most relaxed I have ever been in my life.My mind was so clear and relaxed. Amazing.
