Guardsman: Sir, multible enemy stompas have been spotted at the horizon ! Tank commander: SEND THESE XENOS BACK TO THE HOLE THEY CAME FROM!!!!! FIRE!!!!! Tank: May i interrupt you right there...
The Manticore is one of those weapons that are so damned touchy that it sometimes not worth it. I do like the idea of it but yeah. As for the Minotaur get a damned Basilisk.
After re-watching this it made me think about the minotaur and unit wise in the table top game it could be so much better rather than having the earthshaker cannon twin linked I would have changed the rules so that it fire multiple shots creating a barrage of shells so you could lower the strength I believe the earthshaker cannon is strength ten so drop that to nine or eight but with either two attacks or say each shot fire's off four or six shells rapidly keeping it's same AP but you would only use it against light to heavy troops and lore wise you could say that it fires smaller shells which is why it can fire rapidly and was designed to protect against large groups of troops. I may of already said it the first time I watched this but just incase thanks for upload grim as always a good video think this is the fourth of fifth time I've watched this and only just thought this time what could make that last tank better in the table top game.
The manticore does not have a headstrong machine spirit, merely incompetent technicians. How are the AdMech capable of producing cybernetics and interstellar craft without being able to diagnose the simplest of system errors? -I have 4 lights wired to 4 switches in the same panel -sometimes no lights come on when I flip a switch -sometimes they all come on either there is a loose/crossed cable or a short in the control board, a fix so cheap and simple, even the airlines would do it.
@@GrimDarkNarrator "Machine Spirit" is lazy Tech-Priest fault-as-function spin for Siri/Alexa Level AI at best [the Spirits that allow Land Raiders to operate with an incapacitated crew] In the case of the Manticore, a re-seat of the wiring harnesses, re-solder of the switches and a cache dump and defrag of the targeting computer would make those space SCUDS so accurate you wouldn't need an attack roll, let alone scatter die... but that would get me lobotomized as a servitor for Tech-Heresy. R2-D2 is an example of a "stubborn machine spirit" in Star Wars. also an example as why droids were regularly factory reset, R2's personality was generally helpful, but some droids turned bounty-hunter [like 4-LOM the Bender wannabe working for Vader in ep 5]
I Also blame those toaster humpers, even more than Lorgar, for the fall of the Imperium. If they hadn't insisted on worshiping the Emperor as proxy for that C'tan shard that big E buried there... it would have been easier to convince Lorgar that the Emperor was not a god [or at least that Lorgar was nuttier than squirrel poo for writing his fanfic]. Also their veneration of blueprints [STCs] as holy relics of a bygone age that cannot be exceeded... is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I dont think i would be a fan of the manticore. I would rather a weapon that works reasonably regularly even if it weaker and the manticore with its grouchy ai (cough, i mean machine spirit) can sit in a store house gathering dust till it figures out what it did wrong to get grounded for a few hundred years.
I want to know if StarWars stole the minotaur design for the Clone Wars cartoon series CIS Droid Army (Bactoid) Super Tank? Or did 40K- GWS/FW steal the clone wars CIS Droid Army (Bactoid) Super Tank design for the Minotaur? Either way, we get 2 Awesome SciFi artillery Hvy Tanks so it is all good
Thinking some more; Which if GWS did THIS, it would be quite appropriate and funny seeing as a lot of the Kit-Bash SciFi models featured in WH40K 1st Ed. R.T. book had a major part of the constructions, or at least components coming from Zoid toys, and specifically a few from the Slither Zoid.

As a ordo reductor player I'd sware by my minotaur.
"Sir no sir. The Manticores are being Sassy again, sir!"
In 40k you say fire and the gun SAYS LET ME THINK ABOUT IT DAVE😂

Error. I require more sacred oil.
I'M AFRAID I CANT DO THAT DAVE😎
Oh Minotaur, little Minotaur. Twin cannons, double trouble for the enemy and repair crews.
PREPARE FOR TROUBLE! MAKE IT DOUBLE! TEAM MANTICORE BLASTS OFF AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT! SURRENDER NOW OR PREPARE FOR EXTERMINATION 😎

TY GDN !
You're welcome :)
Did you talk about the dreadnoughts from the Horus Heresy like the leviathan
The Leviathan must be pretty new. I only found out about it now. I'll add it to the suggestions roster, though.

and to help provide better tech priests, just patreon subbed something I should have done a while ago
True, but your panel is not possessed of a spirit :D

Grounded by its parents, the deathstrike missile launchers :D

Hmm ! thinking about it they might both have copied the design from Tomy's ZOID toys Red Zoid: Slither Zoid.

Wouldn't be surprised if GW heavily inspired some of its newer models from the Star Wars prequels.
