  • When I received this bike it had 250 w motor. This was the replacement frame from the T1 cargo bike recall.
    Demonstration of how to make your bike accelerate above the power assist levels using the throttle.
    Stop pedaling before using the throttle!

    That does still seem faster then many other 250W ebikes I've seen. Might be just the label, and actually stronger. Maybe they just put the 250w sticker there for the EU customers, to more easily get out of being fined?

      Diana, do a video. I must see

      @Diana Georgina Quite a few companies are doing this now, Cyrusher being a good example. The motors and controllers are exactly the same as on the US bikes but they come limited out of the box and with the motor labelled 250w. The owner is then free to derestrict them at their own discretion. Living in the UK and still adhering to EU regulations until our useless government decide to pay attention to what people are asking for, I think this is a good option.

    I asked Fiido about the new T1 only having pedal assist up to 14mph (22kph) and they said it was purposely designed this way. You're right, to go faster you have to stop pedaling and just use the throttle.

      I'd really be happy with a 3 speed cassette that matched the PAS levels. If mileage is most important, peddling at the top of each PAS, is ideal.

    I will keep my old T1. So far so good. I did the speed unlock and it moves fast. At number 3. 46 khm.

      I thought it best to put the fast parts on the reinforced frame...
      I ride both still. The replacements display, controller, and motor gets better mileage, so I use it for groceries and food delivery.

    I noticed that your in KPH. 37 kph equals 23mph.

      I'm definitely going to put all the electronics from the old bike on the new bike.... Maybe I'll put some treaded tires on the old bike and use it for stomping through the woods

      @@TornadoGarden please keep us posted on how it all works out. I emailed Fiido about it and we'll see what they say.

      @@gonagain I'm going to start out by just swapping the back tires... I'll test it like that and compare the controllers. Then migrate everything else as needed. Let me know what you find out from Fido. I got no response when I initially asked for a upgraded controller. I got two bikes for one.... I'll do the work to make the best bike I can out of the components.

      @Diana Georgina I was considering a Honda Navi before I found the T1.
      I keep one bike decked out for deliveries and groceries. Old frame, 250w, upgraded slower display, and the cargo deck.
      I wasn't fond of the characteristics of the replacement either. The new frame is nice, as are the brakes.
      Was your replacement marked 250w on the hub?

  • @zatara6224
    @zatara6224 Год назад

    I'm waiting for a replacement as well. The one I've got is a 750 motor, how come is the replacement a 250. Are you guys happy with that? What's the main difference?

    • @TornadoGarden
      @TornadoGarden  Год назад +1

      They claim that the 250 is actually the 750 watt in disguise...as a 250w is the max in the UK. I didn't test them, but they do weigh the same.
      Based on others comments, only a few people got motors marked 250. Most got the 750 mark and one got an unmarked hub.
      In the end, I got two bikes for the price of one. I have one set up for delivering and the new frame sleek and fast.
      My dealings with Fiido were minimal, but efficient.

    faster than I thought for a 250w. I guess its not such a good hill climber

    • @TornadoGarden

      Are you going to keep it stock? Or put the 750 watt on the new frame?

      @@TornadoGarden Depends on the hill climbing. I have lotof steep hills in my area

      @Diana Georgina That new peddle assist is wacky. I can't peddle and assist the motor above the presets.... basically they are treating the throttle like a turbo button.

      It was on KMs. I was comparing this display with the original display that didn't have the option to switch between miles and kilometers. ;)

    With this 250 watt motor, the range will probably increase, don't you think?

    • @TornadoGarden
      @TornadoGarden  Год назад

      Certainly, the range will be extended. It is a great size for a hunting bike, as stealth and distance are more important than speed in the woods.
