Hi, can the split screen be used as usual? I coded it with Bimmerlink and don't have this option. Would be great to be able to change between spliscreen and fullscreen to see radio album art for example.

hey i wonder if applecarplay fullscreen alone will work for me because i have a 2018 bmw g30 in navigation i have N something there and M at the end of usb on M version works and fullscreen doesn't i don't understand it a bit. What do you think will it work for me or do I need to buy iDrive Firmware Upgrade?

I believe the same company has an option to add carplay if yours doesn't have it. But its a different procedure and cost more. I belive its this option linked here bimmer-remote.com/products/bmw-nbtevo-idrive-4-to-idrive-6-carplay-fullscreen
But I'd contact them directly to be sure.

I think you'd have to go a different route with yours. I believe the same company that I purchased this file from can update your idrive software to give you carplay but I'd recommend contacting them for accurate details on what you'd need to do.

I have the same issue. I enabled it in Bimmercode but it just creates a white screen in the split screen section. I would have thought then that maybe this could be done in expert mode?
Yeah you’d have to do something like what I did in the video. Find a third party company that offers the ability to code full screen and or the firmware update depending on your specific software version.

He said focus on the software variant. Just saying the body model of your car makes no sense man. Focus on what version of NBTevo_ it is the letter after the dash

The file I used is for if you already have carplay from factory. If you don't have carplay at all, its a whole different process. But I believe this company can also add carplay with fullscreen if you don't have it from factory. I would contact them directly on their website. bimmer-remote.com/pages/contact
