  • No French horn solo. Apparently her horn broke halfway through. She did great though. Once she realized it she put it down and DANCED. Absolutely amazing improv. Other than that, cleanest show they’ve had.

@@DeathWishesXOXO Yo! I’ve been watching HS marching bands for a LONG time and the only time I’ve seen a smaller band in person as tight/clean as you guys was at BOA nationals. The only difference is the smaller bands at that level tend to move hard drill and play at the same time a bit more (see Marion Catholic from mid 90’s until 2022 when the director retired) You guys were every bit as musical and clean on the field.
Not gonna lie, when I noticed that Eaton’s French horn went down halfway through the show, I thought y’all had a very good chances of snagging first. EXTREMELY well done!!!!!
And please don’t take my move/play comment personal. I feel like 90% of the bands (even Eaton) “these days” have too much park and play. I’m just old and was lucky enough to be in an insanely good national level band. Basically I’m bitter that I got old so I complain about something.

@tenormdness thanksss!! our part 2 is mainly visual based
and our shows usually have meaning behind all of them :3
for smile, the meaning is basically we go through hard times and still make ot out with a smile in the end, hint hurt in part 2 shift to ode to joy in part 3 :>
I find it really cool that my band does this ^_^

@@DeathWishesXOXO It was SUPER cool. It was the only other band that gave me the chord chills aka goose bumps. I’ll definitely be following y’all. Check out pre 2022 St Marion Catholic at grand nationals. They are usually small, have a theme and are between 1-10th every time they go. I came from a small/medium band that went larger over the years so I love it when small schools/bands crank it out. Plus y’all acted very classy which doesn’t go unnoticed. Much love and respect!
