Not EMT, 100% aluminum, it was a old tree branch cutter, I'm old enough to know what aluminum is, I also do a lot of metal work that kinda makes me a expert in metal identification lol.
Saw sells for $80.00 and the cord he uses Samson Lash-It! Twine 1/16" X 180 which has no stretch like paracord does. Whats the total weight? His was just under 4 ounces
@@MosaicHomestead I use the Bahco 396-LAP Laplander Folding Saw which is around 6 ounces. The only selling point to his $80.00 saw is its just under 4 ounces which is the cuben fiber. But for a whole 2 ounce difference does not justify the price tag. With all the tools you have and you do not have a scale. LOL well go get yourself one. You put that together really quick.
@@SurvivalSavvvy I haven't weighed this saw, but its super light...I would dare add this to my bob without any weight concerns, Hell, im painting it black and I'm adding it to my bob lol.
@@SurvivalSavvvy I just finish adding a small ferro rod like the one I used in my fire 🔥 video as the tension stick, Now it's my type of survival saw... I'll put up the new improved design when I put up my Prepper BOB hanger lol
Nice rendition...I suggest using a washer over the paracord between the white and grey PVC pipe to prevent the paracord from chaffing and getting chewed up...Otherwise a nice inexpensive DIY rendition.
I fixed the problem already with a great solution, im using a ferro rod like the one I used in my fire video as the tension stick lol, looks and feels better.
There is no monetization in my area, why re record or add extra work to a video I'm putting up for pure entertainment , it's a miracle I put videos up with all the work I do around here lol
That looks and cuts like EMT conduit which is not aluminum. Plus you'd crush aluminum in the vice.

Whats the size of the pipe? I wander if I can order it already cut
I made mine 12 1/8, but 12 inches is just fine
Looks good! Your survival saw makes clean, precise cuts :-)
I improved it already by replacing the grey pvc pipe for a piece of ferro rod.
Next video "how to amputate your own foot" lol
using this method you could make any length like extra long for limb removal etc.
The amputation video is coming lol...Yeah these blades come even longer, go to knifepoint to see how long there blade is.
Great video. Those saws are 80 dollars
That's not too bad for ultra light gear, thanks 👍

The aluminum is super light, I wish I had one of those scales to weigh it, it has to be about 6 to 8 oz

@@MosaicHomestead Nice...using a ferro rod give you a two for one tool...cutting and fire starting..👍
@@felixdacat6572 the blade works as a striker because it's high carbon steel, the ferro rod is thin and causes no chaffing.
@@MosaicHomestead Nice..2 for 1...👍
Very creative! Even if it is a bootleg copy. Bootleg that stuff all you want to!
It looked so simple to make, I couldn't pass it up, the saw works very good for it being that light.
Can you please provide the saw blade link
It's a normal reciprocating saw blade you can get in any Home depot, it's a Diablo blade , it comes in lots of sizes.
@@MosaicHomestead oh thanks 🙏
Good stuff 👊
Competing with china. lol. Winnie the Pooh will get you!
That's exactly what I told Trump after he threw me the paper towels lol 😆
