I recently bought this Eastwood Blondie figure and loved everything about it. The head sculpt is really good, and I frankly don't know what some collectors expected? Real flesh? There are realistic toy figures, and then there's collectors who want museum wax figures? I think since it's such a beloved movie character that critics are extremely picky, especially nerds and geeks alike.
First of all, thanks for watching the video and I completely agree! No figure sculpt is going to perfectly replicate the actors, but this one is pretty incredible. All of the Eastwood ones so far are. It's amazing to still think that an Eastwood figure is available at all, and I'm loving it!
I know, tough choice! And to make things tougher, Sideshow is releasing a variant of the "Dirty Harry" figure in a brown suit from the last scene in the film. I own the first edition of that figure and "The Man with No Name" figure, and I love them both! Still on the fence about Josey myself. Whatever you decide, I listed order links for all the figures above! Good luck!
Geez. The tailoring is lovely but the most important part, the headsculpt looks like a cartoon of him. Not sure what Sideshow are smoking that makes them think they can charge Hot Toys money for Hasbro sculpts.
Very cool, huge Clint Eastwood fan, managed to see him in person at the Santa Monica Film Festival a few years ago where they honored him, being introduced by Sean Penn.
@@TimLammersFilms you better believe it, he's truly an American icon. Decades of art, work and influence. I have a full size replica Dirty Harry metal badge and leather wallet, so just need an action figure to complete!
Look at the swiss made figures. They are spot on visually. Clint's face is more masterfully created then this version. Also included are the bad and the ugly figures. Also Of note, there is a 1970s commercial with Clint's man with no name vs dirty harry. After the director call cut, the two Clint's kept fighting. After calling cut several more times without any success, the director said, forget it, and he and the crew all walked away from the scene leaving the two Clint's to continue fighting.🤭
I am a very big fan of clint Eastwood and I have the dirty harry figure of clint Eastwood and I have the man with no name figure of clint Eastwood and very cool video and very nice.
The only way to get a spot-on resemblance would be to get the head digitally scanned, but Clint is too old now. Otherwise, there is a lot of work in sculpting a head from photographs, depending on the skill and eye of the artist. I have seen work done ranging from a resemblance - someone who sort of looks like Clint, to some pretty accurate depictions. I have used Z Brush and Mudbox and it takes many hours to get reasonable results. Being tired or not in a constructive mood affects the work. It is best to revisit a project after a short break, this ensures you see all the obvious faults.
Thanks for your feedback and watching the video! Nothing will ever be perfect, but I'm definitely happy with what they produced here. Now, regarding the prototypes for their "Pale Rider" figure of Clint, I'm definitely not seeing the resemblance. Very strange.
I agree! That's become a huge issue ... not only with this figure, but the new Hasbro Indiana Jones figures. What gives? At least, for this sort of money for Eastwood, give us a second portrait with no hat to swap out.
Terrible face sculpt. I would prefer a Fistful of Dollars figure with the poncho´s original green colour, or from a Few Dollars more with the leather bracelet. The Harry Callahan figure looks way much better. Now i´m interested in the Munny/Unforgiven upcoming figure.
Thanks for watching the video. Are you talking the action figure stand? That came with the figure. If you're talking the turntable, I ordered that off of Amazon for relatively cheap.

I’m kinda stuck between this and josey wales. I really love how josey looks. So it’s a hard choice for me. This is fantastic though

That must have been an awesome event! Clint is one of cinema's greatest treasures!

@@toolman67 Awesome! You have to get that figure as soon as you can!
HEY BLONDIE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE, GREATEST WESTERN EVER.😃👍

Interesting ... do you have a link? Thanks for watching!
@@TimLammersFilms I looked up the swiss made 'the good the bad and the ugly' figures.
I’d love to see that commercial too. Sounds amazing.
Magnifique figurine de clint eastwood ❤️👍
Indeed it is! Thanks for watching the video!
I am a very big fan of clint Eastwood and I have the dirty harry figure of clint Eastwood and I have the man with no name figure of clint Eastwood and very cool video and very nice.
Thanks, Jerry! These are top-notch figures and I'm so glad Mr. Eastwood participated in the making of them! Thanks for watching the video!
In my opinion the facial features need some more work as the resemblance is not quite there 🤷♂️
R.I.P ELI WALLACE. HE STEALS THE SHOW.😃👍
Good video. But I think that the face and the eyes do not look like those of Clint Eastwood. I really hesisate to buy this figure...

Clint's face is too mean looking here. In the movie he has a squint and a smirk but not so severe and serious.
i have this on pre order since november. can't wait any longer on it 😂
Awesome! I assure you it will be worth the wait. Hopefully you'll receive it soon. Thanks for watching!
I'm a bit disappointed that the hat doesn't come off.

Nice models but very expensive

So the dark grey paint on the Dirty Harry Face doesn't bother you ,, Your the only one ,,
Actually, since I display it under light, I don't notice it as much. I certainly notice it, but it doesn't bother me. Thanks for watching the video!
Where did you get the stand?
