@@AmazingAutist Andrej asks Grimaldus to assume command of him and his conscripted dockworkers as his previous command is dead or missing. Grimaldus accepts and orders Andrej to lead his men to the shelter blocks. This excerpt picks up immediately after Grimaldus' orders Andrej to head to the shelter blocks: ‘Even without my captain’s voice, we have followed that path. But there is more, sir.’ ‘Speak.’ Grimaldus looked away now, the silver skull that served as his face glaring in the direction of a burning commerce district several streets away. ‘One of your knights fell at the docks. We have hidden his body from the enemy jackals. The etchings on his armour named him as Anastus.’ The white-helmed Astartes spoke, his voice emerging like a man speaking through a mouthful of gruel. ‘Anastus died… as we deployed… last night. Life signs faded fast. Warrior’s death.’ Grimaldus nodded, his attention restored to the humans. ‘What is your name?’ the Reclusiarch asked the storm trooper. ‘Trooper Andrej, 703rd Steel Legion Storm trooper Division, sir.’ ‘And yours?’ he asked the next man in line, taking every name until the last, whom he recognised without needing to ask. ‘Dockmaster Tomaz Maghernus,’ the knight grunted, finally. ‘It is good to see you on the field. Courage such as yours belongs at the vanguard.’ Maghernus’s skin crawled, not with distaste but raw awkwardness. How does one reply to such a thing? To say he was honoured? To admit that every muscle in his body ached and he regretted ever volunteering for this madness? ‘Thank you, Reclusiarch,’ he managed. ‘I will remember your names and deeds this day. All of you. Helsreach may burn, but this war is not lost. Every one of your names will be etched into the black stone pillars of the Valiant Hall aboard the Eternal Crusader.’ Andrej nodded. ‘I am very honoured, Reclusiarch, as are these handsome and fine gentlemen with me. But if you could tell my captain about this, I would be even happier.’ The harsh sound emitted from the Reclusiarch’s vox-speakers was somewhere between a bark and a snarl. It took Maghernus several moments to realise it had been a laugh. ‘It will be done, Trooper Andrej. You have my word.’ ‘I am hopeful this will also impress the lady I intend to marry.’ Grimaldus wasn’t sure how to reply to that. He settled for, ‘Yes. Good.’

Grimaldus was not only impressed with them but thanked them for it
This passage gives *chills*
*DRAGGED HIM?!* with what? A goddamn forklift? because thats what you need to move an space marine in power armor.
Andrej is a true homie
Andrej is simply the best of us.
please make more about how badass the Grey Knights are
Andrej, THE OTHER hero of helsreach!
2 guys trying to drag 1 or 2 ton heavy Supersoldier in power armor.... That is some backbreaking work.
its more like 500 kilos, and you can pull that around with 2 strong men, but still quite the weight
ANDREJ YOU GOAT! THE EMPEROR HAS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HIS KINGDOM FOR YOU!
"I had a headache, then it went away"
_"This makes me smile"_
What did they do? Roll the big guy onto a pallet and drive around with a trolley jack looking for black templars?
They hailed me as the hero of Helsreach... As if there was only one.
Holy Throne i literally just got to this part in the audio book.
Excuse me they did what with the dead knight? In his full suit of power armour. Either Andrej or that dock worker is a monster of physical strength
If i was a dying astartes, Andrej is who I’d want to find me too
I honestly hope that Amazon begins its TV series with Hellsreach. It tells newbies all you need to know about WH40k without being overly complex or obtuse, and sets up a great sequel with "Spears of the Emperor."
Wow this is such a great moment considering the 40k setting is just moments between violence, then , well, violence lol a realy need to read that book
Andrej has main character energy, ngl.
Andrej is probably my most favourite 40k character.
Andrej really was MVP in the novel
Bro dragged a templar... in POWER ARMOR. The humans of 40k are too strong 😮😮😮
Imagine dragging an Astartes in power armor. You gotta be strong as fuck!
Oh wow, first time i see one of these this early
Yes, Jeans Seats are important !
The more I know about Andrej the more I understand how he became friend with Grimaldus
Reclaiming Black Templars geneseed in the 41 millenium vs reclaiming Black Templars seed in the middle ages.
💀
Must be a buff dock work if they managed to drag a a literal ton of ceramite out of the rubble.
I would protect this angels remains with my life bro
Started dragging a dead, full armor clad space marine? You are funny
really cool story.
Beautiful story...
they make dragging a space marine in full power armour so easy to drag. These guys can jump off a thunderhawk and leave a crater.
Wait! The 2 of them were able to move him? Must have rolled him downhill or something.
Can i get a small snippet of what happens next
MY GLOBULES CHESTNUT
Fetch the holy forklift!!
Did you say two mortals started dragging an astartes in full plate?
THE EMPEROR PROTECTS ™️
*disclaimer -not in all instances
How do you drag a whole space marine with 2 people 😂
that's nice and all, but Astartes can weight up to 600kg, do they have a vehicle or something? 😅
One of them was a dick worker, so likely they had something around. Tbf, even Astarte cannot move themselves
Dragging something is significantly easier than lifting it, it’d REALLY suck, but if you’ve been doing manual labour or physically intensive activities your whole life you could probably manage it between two people
Plus the power of faith is a real thing in 40k, it wouldn’t surprise me if they got a little help from above so to speak
@@3adgamd3r They're just built different.
@@lyntonfleming I mean, I’m a manual labourer in construction and have pushed forklift tipper skips by myself, and those weigh about 180kg, I could probably push about 250kg if it’s just a matter of pushing/pulling, 600kg between two people isn’t too far fetched
Cual fue la reaccion de los templarios cuando trajeron el cadaver ante ellos?
ogryn knight
