I'm not a fan of Mr. A. Blinkin, but Sesame Street taught me the Ideal of not merely tolerance, but acceptance, from when I was a toddler. It's refreshing to hear someone, anyone, say, "people are people," and not have heads explode, especially since the people in question, refugees, often come from nations destabilised by our own government, so aside from it just being nice to take them in, we kind of owe it to them to do so, unless we are willing to pay for fixing the problems we caused in their home countries, so they don't want or need to come here.

Why not? At the time this video was created (2016) kids had refugees in their classes and might be irritated by that. This video teaches them to show empathy for refugees. This isn't about politics, it's about humanity - something kids should always learn about.
