He's also a diehard neocon, who's responsible for the Ukraine debacle. All he and his senile boss had to do is to remove Ukraine's NATO membership off the table once and for all and stop arming and all other interference. Kiev. is Russia 's birthplace also and Ukraine got greatly aggrandized under Stalin (1945-47) and Ukrainian Khrushchev (1954).
Ukrainian and Russian languages are virtually mutually understandable. The conflict between them is like a conflict between brothers, not unlike our Civil War.

When will we finally start learning to pay attention to the psychological make up of the politicians???
Once you know what to look for, the malignant antisocial personalities aren't that difficult to detect, and yet we continue to afford such people the benefit of a doubt, which people in such condition do not deserve even for a moment.
Once you figure out that a leader has an APD, all bets are off, period.
From there on you must consult a team of professional psychiatrists in order to know how to deal with such leader.
This is not a joke, and we keep repeating the same mistakes, over and over, and expecting different results.
    That's the definition of insanity.

“Partnership with Ukraine” Sounds so attractive and so sweet for Ukrainian ear… WHAT KIND OF PARTNERSHIP I wonder? in fact talking about accepting Ukraine to EU started in 2004, maybe even earlier…. and 18 years later where we are? As far from EU as never been before. Talking about accepting Ukraine to NATO started in 2008 and 14 years later where we are? Finally fighting till the last Ukrainian. How many men from 18 till 60 years old are kept basically as hostages to become that last Ukrainian? They are deprived of basic human right - right to live. Right to never take weapons in their hands. Is it bothering anybody outside Ukraine? Ukrainian people were deceived and used “you are candidates, you are almost here/there, go hit harder”.

I have a theory on this actually. Because the president changes every 4-8 years, it's hard to be consistent with strategy as each staff is going to have different takes and possible actions that are on the table. This is a disadvantage that we have that Putin doesn't. I think it's a very real problem. And the hyperpartisanship could be the undoing of any remote possibility of agreeing on long-term policy.

( this is equivalent to SS in Nazi Germany)
    2. Finally recruited and spends 20 years as a low level operative in KGB
    3. After the fall of the Soviet Union works as an assistant to Leningrad major : his job is to have a working relationship with Leningrad Mafia. Funnels snd steals millions of dollars of aid money from the west into real estate in Spain and other countries.
    4. Noticed by Boris Yeltsin as wily and shrewd operative and groomed as his successor.

Because “ how dare you, a victim, judge me?” You are just like me”. “ who are the judges? “ This is a perverted Christianity, christianity put upside down where a criminal is allowed to do whatever he or she wants and a victim is not allowed to complain or judge, lest commit a crime of not being “ a good christian”.

It's an old trick from the bag of tricks called "doublethink". KGB used it very actively. It was one of their main tools to manipulate people in the USSR and abroad. Remember, Putin was raised and schooled by KGB. He was a "gopnik" turned into a KGB officer, and that's the worst combination ever. Nowadays he uses those tricks everywhere in every scenario. And he has taught a whole legion of his workers and cronies to do so.

They talk candidly about what operations were going on at the same time Bush and Obama were in office.
Gessen and Kara-Murza especially highlighted how giving him political clout WAS his goal.
Listening to Blinken at the start of this video, where he talks about both administrations being optimistic, makes him (and everyone he worked/works for) sound painfully stupid.

Yup, somehow Blinken just skips how Putin's destroyed the private and independent media in Russia, how he established absolute control over the internal control, elections, etc. But at the same time he said they knew who Putin was, how liberal background he has coming from St. Petersburg. Laughable, if not the happening of the ongoing invasion and other terrorist acts on Putin's command. In my opinion just shows, how western politicians just does not understood Putin from the beginning, how they wanted to see bright future of Russia-West relations. Those politicians and leaders were manipulated, didn't try enough to stop him and now we have another tragedy ongoing in Ukraine because of this. Pretty shameful.
