This is the first time I've used it much and I've decided that it's going to be my go-to for casting and retrieve as well as for trolling.

I just started crappie fishing this Spring. Definitely learning a lot about these fish for sure.
I’ve never seen a fin spin before but have used roadrunners in the past. I would give them a try.

Yes they do, they we're made for the deep south stained water conditions but work great in the clear conditions of the North.

Do you mean 'fixed' floats with springs? yes we can do that
Instead of nibbles use waxworm. I have seen even a pike hit waxworms on a plain hook.
