      Add depends on the fish mood, sometimes it's 4-6 feet down and when the fish get pushing bait to the surface we fish as close to surface as possible.

    Awesome video Karl never caught a crappie going to give it a go in 2 days, finally heading up to north bay! Going to do one last cabelas run in search of a bait caster, I know you like Daiwa, any recommendations (was also looking at shimino, and Bruin)? Looking to fish soft plastics and top water, mostly bass fishing but some pike fishing. Was looking at a 7 foot rod medium to fast action, know you love the st croixs. If you have any other recommendations or tip lemme know! Sorry for all the questions these days 😅 I’ll be sure to pick up some 20 pound braid and floro too 💪

    I live in southern Michigan and I haven't been able to catch a single Crappie in the weeds after September. They all go out to 35 fow and roam.

    • @ExtremeAnglerTV
      @ExtremeAnglerTV  2 года назад

      Yea, thats no fun although we do find them in deep main lake basins on the bottom roaming and they eat our soft plastics when jigged off bottom

    • @charlesronk2989
      @charlesronk2989 2 года назад +1

      I don't have problems catching them. Jigging raps, 1/8oz Kast master jigging spoons tipped with wax worms. Which is awesome for large bluegills and jumbo perch as well. The bluegills rarely hit it without a wax worm. I also use Ice fishing tungsten jigs and plastics. With side scan I can find them, but my garmin transducer crapped out and then my steering cable broke on my trolling motor. So I just put the boat up for winter.
