    It's surprising how much it mirrors my own journey. Regarding colours, I have odour-colour synaesthesia, so my labels bear the colour that I can detect when I smell an ingredient, along with the CYMK, RGB and HSB codes.

    This is super helpful. I was literally trying to figure a way to organize my supplies last night.
    I also pulled the trigger on more materials. Do you find yourself buying from multiple sellers? Finding everything in one spot seems hard haha.
    An idea for the wooden stands: you can countersink multiple bottle sizes. That way any bottle will fit, or at least common sizes.

      Nice idea with the bottle racks, thank you! In terms of sellers, I currently get most of my stuff from Pell Wall and if they don't have what I want I try something else - they normally have everything I want though. I don't buy new materials very often though.

    I'm officially going to drill holes in some scrap wood from the garage sometime this week and use that. Do you find that you need special storage for aldehydes and other really intense chemicals / does anything get through that box? Thanks again for this wonderful channel.

      I used to sell them on my store but I stopped since they kept arriving smashed from the manufacturer. They also didn’t have the best seal and fell over easily. I recommend to use different bottles, the ones I sell now are superior quality.

    Great video! Are you concerned with the bottles in the plastic bins cross-contaminating?

    • @sammacer
      @sammacer  3 года назад

      No because the bottles are sealed; they will only cross-contaminate if the liquids come into contact with each other.

    Hi......One question :
    if i have a formula ... do i have to mix the materials together and keep them for a while before adding alcohol ? Or i can directly add alcohol without waiting?

    • @sammacer
      @sammacer  3 года назад +1

      You can do either way. They may smell slightly different but often this is negligible.

    And which are yours favorite?

    • @sammacer
      @sammacer  3 года назад +2

      I probably have about 200 though I haven't counted. My favorites are something like: oakwood, triplal, cassis base, cis-3-hexenol, labdanum but some others also come to mind :)
