Insidious: The Last Key actually came out on my 21st birthday and I treated myself into seeing it only for it to be ruined by teens who wouldn't shut up and Megan is coming out on my birthday and I'm still going thru ptsd so I might go and watch it but at a much earlier showtime

I'm also glad that werewolf horror is finally making a comeback! That's one subgenre that only has a handful of legit classics for some reason. We need more werewolf horror that can stand the test of time like The Howling, American Werewolf in London, The Wolfman and Ginger Snaps (I personally like the whole trilogy but whatever haha).
Sorry you did like The Girl With All the Gifts and first Goosebumps movie (Both Goosebumps movie made my inner child pretty happy haha). I thought they were pretty good. The Girl with All the Gifts was also based on a book, but I never read it.

My most anticipated horror movies are M3GAN, Scream 6, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, 65 and Insidious.
Scream 6 is clearly going to follow Stu from the first film, as following his escape from prison, decides to track down not only Billy's daughter to convince her to join him, but also the relatives of the late Randy Meeks, as he still holds a grudge against him.
I have to say, my most anticipated is Salem’s Lot. It’s my favourite King book, and I am excited to see this.

New Exorcist?! Ehhhhh, yeah I totally agree, exorcism movies have kind of been done. And unless you’re religious they’re not really moving. Recent watched Into the Mirror and eastern horror has a different kind of spiritual depth that a lot of American stuff lacks. Less monsters, more superstitions or traditions explored in an interesting way. Why even make this? Well, maybe it’ll be surprisingly good.

Must have taken some money that get Ellen Burstyn, in a new exorcist film. Since she was left with a permanent injury, from making the original.
The studio, just got greedy making a sequel straightaway, apart from Richard Burton, it was terrible.
Had the studio waited patiently, for William Peter Blatty to complete the second book, Legion.
William Friedkin would have jumped straight in to direct again. Would have had a good sized budget, and no doubt they would have hit another home run.
Unfortunately Legion AKA Exorcist 3, didn’t get made until 1990. With the damage already done with the woeful sequel, it didn’t get a good budget, and the director.
William Peter Blatty directed it himself, and it’s worth a watch. The story is strong, and there is one scene in particular, that is a must see. Completely different story to the original, altogether.

Anything involving exorcisms is gonna be at the bottom of my list just too much non Christian stuff in it for me except for insidious I love those franchises 1st one was the best one I also like scream and saw those at like my favorite movies Except for Terrifier 2 lol and bones and all was great as well
If you want to see animatronics killing lots of people you should check out the banana splits movie!! not the best but i found it stupidly entertaining lol. I believe it was actually originally supposed to be the five nights at freddy’s movie but something happened with the rights so they couldn’t make it at the time so it turned into banana splits instead.

Your a production designer on Never Hike Alone 2 awesome! I am very curious about Megan! The Exorcist I think is DOA, Universal spent $400 million just to get the rights to do three films and I figure making and releasing the films will cost at least another $120 million so the three films will basically have to make 1.2 billion total to break even and that isn't happening!

Scream VI will probs be the best Scream sequel. We have 2 of this generations biggest Scream Queens (Jenna Ortega & Samara Weaving), the best legacy character (Gale), a fan favourite (Kirby) and a New York setting. It's gonna be so good

@@24SparrowJack no she isn't babe. Not anymore. Her story is over. Let her live. Sam and Tara are the main characters now. The franchise started in the 90s you can't expect the OG to still be the main character. Laurie was hardly the main character in the new Halloween trilogy.
They completely shoehorned her in the 5th movie when it wouldn't of made any difference if she was there or not. Gale had some importance atleast seeing the emotional turmoil she faced after Dewey's death. Sidney didn't need to be in it. It's just nice to see her. But there would be no rational explanation as to why she would be in New York when she has 2 young children

She was one of the best characters in X. She's an iconic final girl and by definition she is this generations Scream Queen. She's the most prominent horror actress (mainly slasher) of the past 5 years along with Samara Weaving & Florence Pugh.

Honestly a hidden gem for a werewolf movie is Wes Craven's Cursed that came out in the early 2000s with Christina Ricci that a lot of people forgot about. Excited for honestly all these movies. Top pick is Scream 6 and honestly Nightbitch could be fun.

I kind of hate they're remaking the excorcist. I'm not religious so I don't find it scary but it still feels like a historical movie and maybe we should just leave it alone. It also doesn't help that director did the Halloween movies. Halloween 2018 was really good, kills was decent and ends is decent. I don't want to watch the excorcist and think, that was fine. So yeah I'm worried about it from a few different angles.

The early word on M3gan is that it's actually really good and not what people think. Early word is also really sketchy so we'll see.
This is not a jab at anyone making anticipated movie lists, but since the 2020s being an unpredictable decade so far, there is a high change that this lists will age poorly.

I gave up on Marvel this year and now I've given up on DC too being a comic book fan sucks sometimes 2022 is a terrible year we lost Kevin Conroy, Jason David Frank, and now we lost Henry Cavill as Superman man I was so happy to see him come back he was the best actor to play Superman since Christopher Reeve and they let him go damn I'm not even mad anymore I'm just heartbroken at least we got some good horror movies to look forward to in 2023 I will only be watching horror in 2023 because I'm not going to waste my time on Marvel and DC

I'm still honoring the blood oath for the cult, Unholy Ruler, don't worry! Anyway, I can't wait to see Cocaine Bear, 65, and The Exorcist sequel, and Evil Dead Rise looks like it'll be bad-ass. But oddly enough, with all these old horror franchises like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, and now The Exorcist getting "true sequels" that ignore all the movies that came before it aside from the original film, it really want to see Jaws make a comeback. That franchise is just sitting there, wouldn't be bad-ass to see a new Jaws sequel with the technology we have today? Also, when I saw that Never Hike Alone 2 was coming out this year, I was so excited I literally gasped like a fucking dork, haha. I love Jason, and even though the Friday the 13th franchise leaves a LOT to be desired, Jason never disappoints me.
I kind of feel like The Meg is a spiritual sequel to jaws hahaha
