Thank you for watching and the like, enjoy your music.
How did you download your music in the first place ?
or ripp songs from a cd to your computer
iloveyousir it worked you got a new subscriber
Glad it worked for you, Enjoy!
Well this fix the problem of some MP3 files not playing on other people's car stereos using a USB flash drive even though when I load them on they play perfectly fine?
thanks a lot you solve my problem 🙏
Your welcome, have a nice day.
Does it work with any usb device?
32gb or less, don't forget to format to fat32
Let's say your listening to a long piece of music - like a symphony. The radio is playing the music from the USB stick. If you turn off the radio - or turn off the car - and then turn it back on again, will the radio remember where the music was when you turned it off? This would be essential in an audiobook or a long symphony or opera. Thanks in advance.
Yes, on my stereo it remembers where you left off last. As long as you don't pull out the USB stick. Always remember to shut off your stereo before shutting the engine, because it could cause some problem.
@@TechwithSTONE4 Thankee
It depends on the radio. If the radio is modern, then it’ll remember the device. But if the device is old, then all the music will be restarted.
Thank you so much ☺️
You're welcome, thank you for watching.
I have the songs in categories eg. Funk have about five songs. Only five songs played in the car usb. When all five songs had played, it repeat to the first song. I don't know if I'm doing this correct. Thanks.
This can be a problem for some stereo's to handle, the different files. This is why I stated in the video that if that doesn't work. Reformat again and then delete the yellow files on the USB stick. Like that you would play it as one long list, unfortunately.
Thank you. It worked wonders :)
Your very welcome, glad it worked for you.
can you leave the usb plugged in while the car is off? Or does that drain battery
Sorry ... Yeah its fine to leave the USB plugged in, but before you turn the ignition of turn the power to off on your stereo player. To avoid getting a error code on your USB stick.
Will it reduce the quality in anyway seeing that you change it from m4a to mp3?
Mp3 is just as good, If your car plays a WAV file, that is a higher quality, but the file is bigger.
Thanks. Can you do multiple songs as an example. I can do one song, however, I'm having some problems with multiple songs. I drag and drop 19 songs , 1-19, on the other hand, I drag and drop another 19 songs from 1-19. The flashdrive showed some errors. "Skip these files, Let me decide for each file, and Replace the files in the destination? I didn't know what to click on. What should I do?
Make sure you re-format at fat32 and delete all yellow folders before you put the music in the USB stick. It will play as one long list. If that doesn't work try changing the file to WAV. Also make sure that all the songs are the same file name mp3 or WAV.
Thanks a lot ❤
Your welcome, glad to help.
What if i did everything right but the files (music) converted to mp3 are 0 Kilobytes
Use a 32gb or less USB Drive, format it to fat32 should work fine.
Didn't help How did you download the music in the Music Filder???
Are there any print out instructions for this subject?
Watch on your phone and do it on a PC
@@TechwithSTONE4 I need something I can print out so I can follow instructions step by step. I will end up going back to it MANY times. With video I have to continually pause.
@@thomasschwarting5108 .....Hey Thomas.....Did you ever get a print out on how to down load music on a stick, I am trying to learn how to do this and I have to agree with you having a print out step by step would be easier to understand 😀 ......Thanks.
@@b.jlovett I am not computer literate. Many difficulties for me. I have an old windows xp pc I use and it's fairly simple. I wish I could tell you step by step, usually I just stumble my way through and get it done.
Watch the video and write down the steps so it's easy for you to understand.
If I want to download a song from yt that is more than 1 hour our car can't play it, why?
I have never heard of a song that was longer than an hour, maybe a high based song? When you put the song on the USB make sure its Mp3 and try to have all your songs as just one list with no folders. Some car systems do not read folders well.
When i downloaded the songs as mp3 and tried it on the car, it didnt work but when i converted it to an m4a it plays the song but only plays 10 seconds of it any way to solve this?
Try it with a 16 gb or less, format to fat 32, before you download it to the USB, Delete all the yellow folders, then download to your USB Drive. It will be one list with no folders. as MP3.
@@TechwithSTONE4 tried, but still doesnt work its been a big problem nowadays. I did get to play 30 songs but the other 60 dont play anything
@@WaloEnthusiast Can you only have about 30 songs listed on one 'album' or as an 'artist'? I'm having the same trouble,... I have mp3 and m4a files in one 'artist', but there are about 60-70 songs. I made one big list... thx
Sir ive put the usb in but it wont play anything it only shows a cd and tp option
Use a 16gb usb stick, format to fat32, then delete all the yellow folders on the usb stick. Then convert to mp3 or wav. don't miss any steps.
How do you use it in a car that doesn't have a USB port?
You don't, in that case do CDs
Good evening how many songs can you put on a USB
On one 16 gb flash drive, close to a thousand.
A 10 hour compilation is about 500MB. So if you buy a 16 GB or a 64 GB USB then I would say a lot of songs.
Do I place a number besides each song?
No you don't have to
What do you mean by make a long list?
just make it one music list on the USB drive, no folders.
What if it said mp3 audio?
If it says MP3 which is an audio file that will play in most Cars and thats what you want, then its ok
hi my music files are n mp3 vltc , but cat car stereo is showing error 23
Make sure you re-format at fat32 and delete all yellow folders before you put the music in the USB stick. It will play as one long list. If that doesn't work try changing the file to WAV.
I had downloaded about fifty mp3 songs on a 32gb Usb thumb drive. I place the thumb drive in my Usb in my car. The Usb played eighteen of the songs, however, after song eighteen, it started from song one again. I would like to know why it didn't played the rest of the songs. Thanks.
I do mention in the video to use a 16gb drive, reformat the drive before downloading to drive, then delete all yellow folders and just do one long list.
@@TechwithSTONE4 Is it possible to play from yellow folders or not? If not, is there a way to separate songs into different playlists and switch between those from the car stereo?
@@WreakingHavoc1 if your stereo has a computer, in most cases yes.
@@WreakingHavoc1 Not sure about old thumb drives. New ones, you can make a folder FROM the thumb drive, name it, and place songs in it. But this also depends on the stereo you have. If it's older, it may not read folders. Here's what ChatGPT reported on that:
"Car stereos with USB ports that are able to recognize folders in a thumb drive have been available on the market for several years. However, the specific year when this feature became widely available may vary depending on the brand and model of the car stereo.
In general, this feature became more common in car stereos released in the mid-2010s. Many car stereo manufacturers began incorporating this capability as the use of USB drives as a primary source of music became more popular. However, some older car stereos may not have this feature, so it is important to check the specifications of a specific model before purchasing."
I just started doing this myself in the Dodge Caravans. My job uses them exclusively in their fleet. Because of a new zero tolerance policy on having devices out, in my case, a Bluetooth speaker. Dodges' system is clunky, but I figured out how to access the filter to choose by genre, and folders etc. I also learned that it has a 30GB HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and when I load up new songs I just erase them off the thumb drive.
Thank you!

how to make for home stereo system?
If your home stereo system does not take a USB stick, but you have a DVD player, then you can burn the music to a CD/DVD Disk. They sell at Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy.
@@TechwithSTONE4 I want to transfer my songs from my music CD to a USB which should be playable on a USB device. It can be a car or my home CD player with USB option. How can that be done?
