Doesn't get any better than late 90s early 2000s hiphop. I remember seeing Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, and Gang Starr all in the same month. I miss those days when life was simple and gas was a little over a buck...
Legit one of my all time favourate atmosphere songs, happy days, grey days, angry days this song always fits the bill. Don't think I'd be who I was today without some of the knowlage passed down from ant and slug, plus the friends along the way I made just because they knew you guys 🤘🤘 much love boys
Sick! Twenty years has gone by in a flash.. I had just finished high school.. senior year living through 9/11 and the tension at that time. What a sweet release this album was at that point ☝️
Saw slug 20 years ago in Oklahoma city at a place called the green door. Way smaller then this show. My best friend opened for atmosphere and was actually his first show ever. Alot of good memories are tied to this music for me. I appreciate the dedication slug has showed to hip hop and the people who love it. A true living legend
I was at @t this show. Dibbs was badass. If I'm remembering the right show mac lethal was great that night too. Met both seemed like awesome dudes. Snoop played there the night before. Wish I wouldve known about that I wouldve seen him too.
@@straightbent1 we were in the front row and you came out with Slug and I was like “told you so” and then you came and grabbed her and brought her on stage…she jumped around like a goof and I though I lost my gf forever…then she came right back to her spot…
This show was straight insane. I think this is when Sean called out some chic in black pants? Better show was when Dillinger 4 played. Some kid in front of us was talking shit about them. I took his hat and had the entire band sign his hat,
Now adays its independent artists making the impact. Not peeps that have to go to board meetings. I miss when my favs were real shit. No hate to atmosphere; love those guys' music; but there's a reason RSE is slowly dying. The content from a damn corporation cant keep up with what single indy artists do alone. And the art quite frankly isn't as good either.
2024 still listening

Gas a little over a buck? We're in the 80's then - CA lol
Shit . gas was 1.27 two years ago.
@@lawrenceshdow Easy to spot someone not from California aha...$1.27? That's like 1989 prices :(
Late 80s through mid 90s was the illest era of Hip Hop.
And not a single iPhone in the crowd filming. People having good time.
Jesus, 2002 was 20 years ago! Fuck I feel old lol, I was in high school then.
We are old now.
Yea definitely didn't need reminded that I graduated high school 19 years ago this morning haha

Even though SCBD4 said not watch the whole thing in its entirety, I definitely did. Twice.
