- Hey everyone. In this video I show you my awesome mod I did on my Leatherman Sidekick. I am so proud of this accomplishment.

I was very nervous to do this mod because of risk of destroying my BRAND NEW Leatherman. Risk paid off:)

You should email Leatherman Co. this video. Because that is how they should have made ALL their Leatherman's!! I believe we should not have to open the entire tool unless we are going to use the pliers only. Good job, This is the best mod I have seen. You should try it with a Wave or a Supertool 300. But definitely Leatherman should change how you can access the smaller tools like how you did. Awesome!!

@@oscargo29 It took a long time, and I made more mistakes than I see in your video, but it worked! Going slow really did help. I'm gonna spend the next month looking for reasons to bust my new and improved Leatherman out!

Sorry, I'm not too bothered by opening my Wingman to get to the inside tools. Sure not going to test out my handy work and take a Dremmel to it. Plus I appreciate the 25 year warranty. Don't much care for the scratched up look.

Just came across your video today. Very impressive work! I can't tell you how many times I've looked at my wingman and thought myself, "gosh, if only they would have made these tools fold out the other way so that I could access them on the outside, that sure would have been nice" Then I watch your video in my mind is blown that it's actually possible.
Are all the tools still lockout with the spring tab? I think so but you didn't specifically say. Thank you so much for sharing. Can I send you my wingman so you can do the mod for me? I'm not sure I'm brave enough! Lol
