Finding Red Tomatoes, Microgreen Harvest and Spring Updates

  • The hydroponic tomatoes are turning red! We had a spring work day planting seedlings into the NFT channels and harvesting microgreens. I did a walk around the greenhouse to see all of the progress since I was gone for a week. I went on a nice vacation to Hilton Head with my family, and I was surprised how fast things change in the greenhouse. Katy and Doug have been working hard in the high tunnel building strawberry supports and trainging the hydroponic hops. Soon we'll be moving a bunch of stuff out there. -Devon

    Your videos are so full of great information. I love how you share the good and the bad outcomes and plans. Your days are incredibly busy. Keep up the good work and my goal is to get through all your videos. You have motivated me to expand my hydroponic systems.

      @@HomegrownPassion it is very cool.... I love the efficiency... we use aeroponic tables we built for cloning and germination and can pack tons of plants and seeds in them. If I ever learn to use RUclips properly I'll send ya some pics, our germination rate went from 60% to 99% with the aeroponic cloners... oh and the cleanlight is AWESOME. Just got the hobby unit and am thoroughly impressed! Goodbye sulfur !! I gotta get in there and get to it! Thanks for everything!

    Hi Devon and Kati!
    We did our first tank change yesterday. Started harvesting the kale, it's so good.
    I'm going to start succession plants here soon since the lettuces will be harvested here in a couple of weeks!
    I noticed your peach tree was in bloom! The same is happening here we must have similar zones.
    I'm interested in seeing the asparagus patch in future videos. Take care!

    • @HomegrownPassion
      @HomegrownPassion  3 года назад +1

      Good and hope it went well! We are due for one soon. Glad to hear about the kale. It really takes off in the summer for us and bet it will for you too. My one peach tree has a ton of flowers this year. I’m hoping we don’t have a late season frost. Have a wonderful week!

    Hey love the TEal Color themed but also consider building a treehouse over just a house that tears down the forest. Trees should be building blocks no tearing blocks. It can be funky and swirlyio just needs a bit of adjusting imagination and blueprinting and there we go and inventive you might get more followers because your not just helping humanity but your helping the World. We are not only making channels grow but It inspire others to experiment and RUclips Channels will grow when we choose to help the world 2 ways in one stone. Building a tree house and putting gardens in it. It can maybe make new species

    Homegrown Passion hi
    9:11 the roots do not have to be thrown out, if you have a lot, then sell it to home animals the same chickens, or to your. and if you put air humidifiers (such as Xiaomi Deerma DEM-F325), then everything will grow like dough by trembling

    Another great video. In the channels with crops requiring an increased nutrient/water uptake, where supplemental emitters are being used, would it not be advantageous to use 'Nutrient Film' to help maintain nutrient solution saturation and retention within the channel, is there too much root entanglement with the film or some other reason it is not used? Cheers.
