We do that by rotation and leaving different areas unplanted. This gives the soil time to build back up

Miss Nancy could use the dollar tree shelf liner that's like a puffy foam fence looking stuff lol to put down on her board after washing so they don't run away. I think that one melon was heading for my house!! 😂Yum yum! Just love you guys.🍈🍉 Please keep me and my family in prayer and my friend and her family. God bless you and keep you. ✝️🙏🌿🕊️🌾🧑🏻‍🌾🌾❣️🙏😔🕯️📖❣️🦅

@@katherinebelk8398 Agreed, down to only using Black Kow composted manure. Just sat down with my husband to review the last onion planting/harvesting video to show him “ringing them in”. Which what he was missing all these years. We don’t have a lot of space, but used what we had to grow twice as much this year. Let’s pray God Blesses all of us a bountiful harvest to sustain our families in these times

I'm planning to grow those Minnesota Midget cantaloupes on a trellis this year and one of the smaller icebox watermelons as well, which I will probably have to support with slings for the latter. Now I know to plant them away from my cucumbers and zucchinis, though. You two always make me smile. It's nice to see such a loving couple of believers living under God's blessings and grace.

The Charentais melon is the best I’ve ever tasted, but when I tried to grow them a few years ago, every one of them split before I could get them harvested. It didn’t stop us from eating them. LOL…we cut around the bad part and loved what was left, though it was very discouraging. I didn’t try again after that, but I just figured it was the unavoidable Texas heat. Even the cat loved the Charentais… I have a short video of him eating some. You made me want to try again! Thank you for another inspiring video. Accept your blessings! Love from central Texas.

Just found your channel, Wow, this is some outstanding content and your information and knowledge is unmatched my friend. Your tips and tricks are like what my grandpa has about life and gardening. He says Life is about farming and gardening and Love is about farming and gardening together. I never really understood exactly what he meant by that but I have found an immense amount of understanding in his saying through watching you and your wife and how you both treat each other. I’m in Oklahoma, so I don’t get to see much of them so it’s nice to watch your videos and listen to your candor. In some ways it makes me feel like I’m missing out on his teachings, you bring me back home my friend, each video has love and dedication in it, I thank you for reading my message. Its pretty special what you beautiful people have going on in this world. What an example y’all are for the rest of the world. Thank you my friends, I look forward to all the rest of your videos! Bless God forever! I’m so thankful for His two servants Hollis and Nancy! And for the bounty He sends. Can you save those melon seeds and they come true next year? I always try to save seed if possible. Try some black pepper on your cantaloupes…any variety. I had an old man share that with me way over 40 years ago and I’ve never looked back. At first I thought it sounded awful and the old guy said, don’t knock until you try it boy!! I’m now past 65 and still learning. There’s nothing like letting the love of God grow in your heart and watching the fruit of garden grow. Thanks Hollis and Nancy. And thank you Jesus, most of all!
