Miss Nancy could use the dollar tree shelf liner that's like a puffy foam fence looking stuff lol to put down on her board after washing so they don't run away. I think that one melon was heading for my house!! 😂Yum yum! Just love you guys.🍈🍉 Please keep me and my family in prayer and my friend and her family. God bless you and keep you. ✝️🙏🌿🕊️🌾🧑🏻🌾🌾❣️🙏😔🕯️📖❣️🦅
Idk if you know what a Blessing you truly are, esp in these very unsure & scary times. You teach the survival skills of raising your own food, but also are so comforting & joyful to watch. You’re definitely fulfilling a Mission from our Lord.
I found Hollis & Nancy is 2020 when I jeed them the most! I treasure the lessons they have provided over the past three years and I won't plant anything anymore outside of what they recommend! My success grows better each time!
@@katherinebelk8398 Agreed, down to only using Black Kow composted manure. Just sat down with my husband to review the last onion planting/harvesting video to show him “ringing them in”. Which what he was missing all these years. We don’t have a lot of space, but used what we had to grow twice as much this year. Let’s pray God Blesses all of us a bountiful harvest to sustain our families in these times
This is the only video that I have found on RUclips that showed the entire cycle from seed planting to seedling to transplanting to full growth until harvest. Absolutely fantastic!
I just want to say how much I adore you two as a couple! You’re wonderful team work, your beautiful gardens, your love for Jesus. And your music, your gardening and just everything about you two. It’s so soothing and informative watching you guys. God bless you and thank you.
I love how this video is saved and edited for one showing of planting through harvest. You two do such a great job. God Bless and enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of your labor!
Hey Hollis and Nancy! Thanks for your videos! My wife and I started our garden last year and are expanding this year and we have to give you credit for our success because your videos, especially the container ones, have been such a wonderful resource. I’d say they are the main reason we have done as well as we have. Could you please share how much baking soda you added to the Thuricide BT? (Edit for grammar and spelling)
Savor Melon....I'm on it! Thanks so much. Nancy, you are a livin' doll. When you say, "have a blessed day", it always brings me to tears. Thank you for sharing all the joy and hard work of gardening. XOXO Hope Hollis is feeling a lot better these days.
I just love you two. You are such a delight to watch and even though I've been gardening for over 40 years, I always seem to learn something new. I find I've been taking notes from you. Good bless you two. Wish I had you as my neighbors! Take care. Mary from Indiana
Cool setup. We do a nice patch of vines, nothing I love more than coming out in the morning when they're blooming and the bees are going bat crazy. Simple pleasures. And I love the music!
I love how your beds are so neat and straight. My husband is the same way when planting our small garden. I love when everything looks orderly. Great job! We are christians too, I’m so thankful that you always give God the glory, he is the reason we are successful. Your channel is always joyful, I pray you have continued success and may God through his son Jesus Christ bless you with abundance.
So surprising to see how far the melons had come after only 7 weeks! Pickle worms - something else to battle! Adorable, the hen and her chick! Loved watching them! Have a great weekend you two, and bing bing!
Hollis and Nancy, you two are the sweetest! I am just starting out growing vegetables. I appreciate your videos, but i am so touched by the love between the two of you.
I cannot even begin to tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos! I find myself smiling and cheering you on! Seeing Bing Bing is also always a nice treat 🥰
So wonderful fruit . I love that too. Thank you , Hollis and Nancy for posting this video what a great video inspiring. ❤.. I like that Bing bing the cute dog. God bless you both... !
It is such a joy to watch you two just enjoying the journey God has you on. You can really tell the genuine love you have for one another. I have watched you for years. Thank you for wonderful content. Love and prayers!
I'm planning to grow those Minnesota Midget cantaloupes on a trellis this year and one of the smaller icebox watermelons as well, which I will probably have to support with slings for the latter. Now I know to plant them away from my cucumbers and zucchinis, though. You two always make me smile. It's nice to see such a loving couple of believers living under God's blessings and grace.
Yes Robin. I don’t have a problem with Pickle Worms unless I have Spaghetti Squash growing. It is still a good idea to keep your melons away from squash or any kind
The Charentais melon is the best I’ve ever tasted, but when I tried to grow them a few years ago, every one of them split before I could get them harvested. It didn’t stop us from eating them. LOL…we cut around the bad part and loved what was left, though it was very discouraging. I didn’t try again after that, but I just figured it was the unavoidable Texas heat. Even the cat loved the Charentais… I have a short video of him eating some. You made me want to try again! Thank you for another inspiring video. Accept your blessings! Love from central Texas.
I've grown savor the last few years in Texas. They do not like it super hot (well, they like the hot part of summer in France! But not Texas. Haha). I plant them in an area of my garden where they get a little bit of shade towards those blistering hot afternoon/evening hours.
What a beautiful family and garden you got. I love the way you teach & show us your wisdom. I also felt weirdly teary when I the part of you and your wife. There’s so much love in this video and I absolutely enjoyed watching this. Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing a new kind of melon. You are both so wonderful to watch as you work together in your gardens. God bless you for being such wonderful, sharing people.
Just found your channel, Wow, this is some outstanding content and your information and knowledge is unmatched my friend. Your tips and tricks are like what my grandpa has about life and gardening. He says Life is about farming and gardening and Love is about farming and gardening together. I never really understood exactly what he meant by that but I have found an immense amount of understanding in his saying through watching you and your wife and how you both treat each other. I’m in Oklahoma, so I don’t get to see much of them so it’s nice to watch your videos and listen to your candor. In some ways it makes me feel like I’m missing out on his teachings, you bring me back home my friend, each video has love and dedication in it, I thank you for reading my message. Its pretty special what you beautiful people have going on in this world. What an example y’all are for the rest of the world. Thank you my friends, I look forward to all the rest of your videos! Gratitude.
Been watching you both for years. You inspired me ti start gardening. I am going on my 4th year. Each yeR I add new crops. This yeR is sweet potatoes. Thank you for all your wonderful videos. I had so much fruit and veggies last year I learned to freeze dry, can, pickle, dehydrate to preserve whT I can. I also took up raising chickens and du KS and composting and catching rainwater. Hope to continue to expand in the future.
Bless God forever! I’m so thankful for His two servants Hollis and Nancy! And for the bounty He sends. Can you save those melon seeds and they come true next year? I always try to save seed if possible. Try some black pepper on your cantaloupes…any variety. I had an old man share that with me way over 40 years ago and I’ve never looked back. At first I thought it sounded awful and the old guy said, don’t knock until you try it boy!! I’m now past 65 and still learning. There’s nothing like letting the love of God grow in your heart and watching the fruit of garden grow. Thanks Hollis and Nancy. And thank you Jesus, most of all!
I live just a bit south of y'all and have a small garden in the back yard and only grow things I watch on your channel (minus the artichokes I planted) because I know it's good information. Hoping to go crappie fishing here soon.
That's a wonderful harvest! Harvesting ANYTHING from one's own garden is so much fun! Thank you for sharing the experience with us. I really love and appreciate your seed-to-harvest videos. Thank you so much!
As always! 😁😆 I learned a few things, this morning! New melon. So that is what those moths are- PICKLE worm moths. Moms are excellent for pollenating, her kids are terrors! Genius idea using the tarp over ground cover. Thanks again! I look forward to your videos.
Well, praise God! He is so good to us. Those are so beautiful, I’m going to give them a shot down here in Louisiana this coming year! Thank y’all so very much, and God bless you!
Thank you both for sharing your wealth of knowledge on how to grow your food. I'm inspired to grow some of NY food, hopefully more in the future. Please keep the tutorials coming. God Bless.😊
👍Playlist our other melon videos
ruclips.net/p/PLjAejPnq636bIFM98fVACR9Cn1tQF1F9J
We do that by rotation and leaving different areas unplanted. This gives the soil time to build back up

Can I plant melons, cukes squash, and such in the same patch?
Everybody who gardens needs a real life Hollis in their life ….to build all these beautiful things and to ensure great success in the garden!
My thoughts exactly! They are a darling couple 🙂 ( Maybe Nancy will let him out for hire ;-)
Amen!
Yesss!!
I agree 💯

Chrissy you are absolutely right. God has really put them to work during a perfect time in this old world.
