- On this episode of Top Knox Fishing, I journey down to the Scenic City aka Chattanooga. Chattanooga is nestled in the green rolling hills of our beautiful state. Within those hills are some of the best catfish fishing waters in the country. Aaron Massey is a guide with "Tennessee River Adventures" which is based out of the Chattanooga area, but he fishes all of the lakes on the Tennessee River chain from Knoxville to Alabama. We had an incredible day and caught catfish almost every single way imaginable. I have to comment once more because I totally need to apologize for my first one.....I have had a terrible day and have an infection that has caused a very high fever and have just been really ill and off my regular self.....you are doing what you love to do and I think that's fantastic.....my favorite thing to do in this world is to fish but due to unforeseen issues and loss of 2 very close friends and covid I haven't been able to put a line in the water for 2 and a half years now....which isn't anyone's problem but my own but anyway some things I said was completely uncalled for and I do want to say I'm sorry sir.....carry on with the great fishing that you are doing and enjoy your choice to fish full time....I think it's fantastic that you walked from an unfulfilling job to do what you truly truly love.....fishing is complete happiness

I think the newer Swedish made Ambassadeurs are just as good as the older ones personally. Not the S series in from China though. Kastking Rover and Piscifun Chaos make good reels too.

I can’t drink coffee in the am without a bathroom break anywhere 20 minutes to 3 hours later. Better I hit a Redbull or Nerd for the am.

I use to live on Norris lake was thinking about coming down there is there blues in Norris
I'm not totally sure about the blue catfish population in Norris, but it does have some huge flatheads in it!

You just kind of have to experiment with it to see how active the catfish are. A good range is .25-.7 mph
