Shooters can "shoot" And you can shoot. Great job Rock'n Randle! I like the respect you show the game after you harvest them. Not to get out of sort, but I hope your name is found in the Lambs book of life. You know, that you're born again. This being through the power of the Lord Christ Jesus, and His finished work on the cross -as it is truly finished. I enjoy you Randy your videos. I wish you well. Jesus is King.
Thanks again and good luck to you this season as well! If you ever come down to FL you can hunt Big Cypress National Forest or Ocala National Forest...great public lands.
Thank you for saying that. It is great feedback for us to hear what you say. I hope you get to Montana next year. Draw odds are almost 100%. Deadline is March 15.
Randy, Your hunting hikes into the high mountains just blow me away, awesome videos. I was curious on how you are able to know at what altitude you are hunting? Love your Montana hunts.
I grew up hunting that unit for elk, still spend 7-10 days a season in it. Maxed out on points and still can't draw the deer permit. Pretty neat to literally know exactly where you were at. Apparently we also hunt wolves in the same country as well.
Great video. Love your podcast as well. I know what brand of firearm you campaign, but what calibers do you prefer? A brief synopsis of what you use on deer, elk,, Large bears, and moose. Keep them coming. And stay safe. Really enjoyed the Nevada hunt with your son. It made my son call me up and asked me to go hunting in Utah next year.
Thanks for watching and listening. If I was relegated to one cartridge, I would take my .308 Win. I would use it on all of those animals. If it was mostly large bears and moose, I would probably go to a .338 Win. I hope you and your son have a great hunt.
Very good hunting videos. Those are some steep mountains, I have seen in some of the footage. I think you can get away with talking , rather than wispering. I am not saying that there aren't times when the deer might here you talking, but in my experience in most cases it doesn't alarm them. My old Dad, always talked fairly loud, when he was afield. He was a great hunter, and killed more than his fair share, I would have to say. The whitetail deer that I hunt in vermont will not let you walk acrossed a field or barren hilltop...they just make themselves real hidden. Every kind of hunt has its challenges.
Randy, love your videos, recommend them to my friends as you are hunting like most of us do, public land DIY, keep up the great videos! How far was that shot and what bino case are you using?
+Chris Holmes - Honestly, Chris, it was too far. I had followed the buck in the scope for a very long time and lost some perspective as to how far it had traveled. Had I realized how far that buck had gone, I probably would have held off.

Great Job Randy! Tell camera man great work he put into this hunt as well! He's appreciated as well.
+Prem Skee - Yes, Tyler is a serious hard core guy. He makes me look like a lightweight. I'll tell him.
Heading out in the morning for the deer/elk opener unit 201 in western montana here, Savage 7mm Mag by my side ...Redfield 4-12x
Good luck.
Just beautiful Randy! One day I hope... one day.

17:18 what a shot, good shooting man
one helluva shot Randy!
Sometimes my luck exceeds my talent.
What area of montana are you hunting in? On this video.
I've hunted Montana but not in any country like that.
Randy, love your videos, recommend them to my friends as you are hunting like most of us do, public land DIY, keep up the great videos! How far was that shot and what bino case are you using?
It was 40 yards. That was a Sitka bino harness. Thanks for the kind comments.
I'm guessing you meant 400 yards? Thanks!
Holt crap that’s a great shot
Probably got lucky. I do practice a lot.
Damn fine shooting, Newberg. Looked to be over 400 and you dumped him. Impressive!
great shot! how many yards away?
Further than I like to shoot. Thanks for watching.
Curious how long that shot was. Beautiful country!
+Chris Holmes - Honestly, Chris, it was too far. I had followed the buck in the scope for a very long time and lost some perspective as to how far it had traveled. Had I realized how far that buck had gone, I probably would have held off.
Well said!
Another HOWA Handshake!
Thanks for watching.
Is that the caliber you always use ?
+Edward Sabo - For deer and antelope, usually the 7mm-.08. For elk/deer combo hunts, usually the .308 Win, both in the Howa Alpine Mountain Rifle.
+Randy Newberg, Hunter Randy, for the .308 for elk, what size bullet are you using?
What was the date of this hunt?
November 19-20, 2014.
Fine shooting sir.almost missed a mature beauty
Nice shot. Need to tell camera man need a bigger battery :)
+Chad Villegas - I'll tell him that. -0F temps make for some serious filming challenges, so maybe I won't tell him that ;).
Randy what caliber are you shooting?
+Edward Sabo - 7mm-.08.
How long of a poke was that?
Long. We don't usually talk ranges, as it just results in debates. Thanks for watching.
U should buy a Burris Eliminator 3
Those aren't legal in every state. Here in Washington that would get you in a lot of trouble.
I think your down by lima
Yup.
