      He is even more fun than it comes across on video. He and I grew up together since we were toddlers. A lot of people request him as a guest. Thanks for watching.

    I know I'm late to the party, but this vid had me smiling from ear to ear. Jerry was such a joy to watch and empathize with. Fighting through the snafu's, then ultimately having it all come together. Still smiling...

    I realize this is over four years old but I just watched it for the first. What an awesome guy Jerry is! My buddy and I have been best friends for over 55 years so I know how you feel. The look on Jerry's face immediately after the shot was priceless! I wasn't sure if he was going cry, throw up or faint! Wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing them with us.

    I like after the kill shot and you find the deer or elk.. you do time laspe video the butchering of the animal to reinforce you just don't shoot them for the antlers. You are taking all the meat and packing it out. Other hunting videos make hunting just to be about shooting huge antlers and you don't. Very good and that little bit of butchering video reinforces to take all the animal "its not that tough", pack the meat out, and it shows the real work begins after the kill shot. I like that a lot. Very good job. You videos show exactly what I was taught by my father hunting. Thanks for finally showing this....if more hunting shows did this we would probably has less trespassing, poaching, and waste of animals. It would instill in people this is the proper way to hunt instead of "shot the biggest antlers you can see" even if it means breaking the law......Just like your video on the poaching of that huge elk by those other hunters that trespassed.....I can feel your disgust in that video. Thanks again...I am glad you video taped it and showed it. This is why your shows are the best out there.....everyone can talk big about conservation but your show, shows you stand by your words of doing everything proper.. thanks.

    Randy, this is by far one of my favorite episodes. I watch all of your video since I am a fan. But this episode encompassed everything that hunting is- beautiful, natural, harsh, rewarding, and frustrating. Frustrating enough to make anyone come back for more. Keep up the great work. Jerry! Great work man, it'd be cool to meet you gentlemen. 👍

    That was awesome!! Thanks guys!! I love your vids because you show all the times when you don't get the shot and all the close calls. Very realistic. Makes me realize it happens to everyone. Not just me. Looks like some great friends there. That's what its all about.

    I'm sure because Randy's human, he has his "moments". The credit he gives his crew, the love he shows to his friends, the land, the hunt and adventure is too cool. Plus, we need more Randy's and less bureaucrats.

  • @RatdogDRB

    What I appreciate a LOT, is SEEING the meat being cared for near the end of the video. Too many videos are of the hunter walking away from a downed animal "to go get help", and the meat is not cooling while the intact animal lays there. Sure, trophies are nice, but, for most of us, it's about filling the freezer with delicious table fare.

    Excellent job Jerry but...be careful saying "everything that could go wrong did go wrong" because you were lucky enough to see (didn't lose your vision) the buck and so on. It can always be worse. Rattlesnake bites, compound fractures, giardia, etc.

      Randy Newberg, Hunter thank you randy! I’m not real sure just because I’m not familiar with the West. I’ve been to Idaho but not sure that’s the best, I am open to suggestions but thinking Montana, Wyoming, etc maybe there’s better states bang for your buck. Thanks again, i also follow the keep it public page a lot because of your channel.

    It's frustrating to watch a pro hunter not be able to make a 350 yard shot. Good film keep it up

    • @Fresh_Tracks
      @Fresh_Tracks  8 лет назад +8

      We aren't "pro hunters," just average guys, often below average. If the hunter does not feel completely comfortable, we don't shoot. We put no pressure on anyone to shoot. And, for purposes of footage, we try to get as close as possible, with a preference of under 250, if at all possible. Sometimes it's not possible. Thanks for watching.

    • @quincygrupenhoff4242
      @quincygrupenhoff4242 8 лет назад

      in my opinion, it isn't really ethical to shoot much further than 350.
