Toots! A master musician and a super human being! I will never forget the time I meet him in Cambridge Mass. I was playing in a Reggae band at the time. Next thing we are walking together to a ice cream parlor in Harvard Square. We had a great talk about music. Wow! How real is that. I can not thank him enough for all the great music he gave us. Maybe God needed to do some serious dancing! R.I.P

I cried when he died. After I discovered “The Harder they Come” in 1974 - I must have carved the words “Pressure Drop” into a dozen desks at my high school - he gave me as much joy as any artist. He died because of bad luck, contracted the damn plague early... so this video fills me with both happiness and pain. This is 2017, he’s no kid and listen to how wonderful he sounds, how magnetic, how filled with energy, how great his voice was at an age regarded as advanced. I saw him about 10 times, including with the original Maytals in 1977, and consider myself lucky. “Never Grow Old."

@@GSGHenrietta he feeds off the crowd. If they are somewhat composed then it's a mild show. But he's a consummate performer. He closed with good old gospel call & response chants mixed with soul, R&B and of course roots reggae. No complaints!
