Lynn, i get it clearly now! I come from Taita . Born and raised in a village called Msorongo/ Mwakitau. This lies in the Tsavo East. Years back, i heard that kutawekwa wire ya stima, to prevent wild animals from invading our "shambas". What followed even to date, is very sad.Lumo conservancy came up! Taita Salt Lick Lodge, became Under Sarova hotel! Guess who are the managers there, outsiders. The normal mwananchi hana any say over it. Lately i hear that we're being asked leave the place because it belomgs to KWS..This is crazy!

I hear what the two gentlemen are voicing. In a sense there is much truth in their sentiments. But the big question is why are we always crying Woolf. Nairobi river is just but one n very simple example of a people who have no value of conserving their environment. Riparian lands have been grabbed by the very Kenyans. This level of foolishness has led others to lead us in many fronts. If we were conscious of taking care of our vast resources, we would be awake to all these intruders that we are now purporting to have invaded our spaces. Our leaders are a good reflection of the larger society. Unless we renew our minds n cultivate values that we are mindful of each other and our environment. This information will remain as music to our ears. Our education system especially being the foundation should be addressing these matters on our children if we r to get headway. Start of a good conversation that needs all our consertated effort.

Lolz! You are surely shattering long held negative tribalists fantasies with that statement! Kenyans are no different to the MAGA faithful in USA. Addicted to lies that are convenient to their own ears. Kenyans will be tethered to suffering until the day they face some very bitter truths about their not so rosy past leaders who supposedly gave us "Uhuru". Some people are struggling to understand why Gen Z are "tribeless", when this superiority complex haven of tribe is all they've ever known. Mumefikiwa nowadays.

We had a way of earning a living on conditions that you don't harm any wildlife or cut down the trees. Around 2010, they denied locals to access the parks and farm....I'm suspecting they found some precious minerals and want to benefit from it by themselves😢

I have been to that orphanage and ALWAYS wondered how these baby elephants are found “orphaned.” If you study elephants especially the matriarchs they don’t just abandon their babies like that.
So WHERE ARE ALL THESE ORPHANED BABY ELLIES COMING FROM?
Lynn bring the gentleman back so we can table this in the next convo.
Let’s also talk about Giraffe Manor…

@@gabistan2007 In the grand scheme of things, European tourists do precious little for Kenya. Most Europeans travel to each other's country to go on holiday. Kenya is better off encouraging LOCAL TOURISM. We can built a regular thriving industry if we can get 30 million people from Kenya and neighbouring countries to visit Mombasa etc,

Lynn, you’re doing a very important job here. May your Chanel grows exponentially for the regular Kenyan to understand what’s happening in their country. Kenya has more NGOs exploiting locals for the benefits of the West than any other country. As a frequent traveler to Nairobi, I always try to educate the locals that the mzungus in Nairobi are not there to help; they are there to exploit in silence because the country is a rich and beautiful one! Please take your country back for real!

People should be allowed to sell minerals freely in small scale or big scale farmers(of minerals). But only a few "people" who benefit. This is a very rich country with minerals that can pay all the debts of this country
