@@suzieqmakes No, you were too interesting, kept me awake even more. 😉 Guess what Sue…. a local ish shop sells Sue Spargo supplies and the owner is a certified Sue instructor. My friend and I just took a 3 day workshop with her. It was expensive and a good hour away but amazing! We learned so much. I haven’t had a holiday or done anything like that since pre Covid so it was well worth it.
Don't know how i missed this video. I watch for your fabric videos just in case they don't pop up in my feed. Love what you put together and the way you did it. The items you made from this piece are beautiful and fun. You know that i think you are amazing. Take care,
Health and safety went out the window with table top at the start.😂 I cracked up when you said it was sped up as willows tail was wagging non stop. Your bags you made are lovely my favourite is the butterfly one I can see why you was precious over that piece. Well done ✨
you made me chuckle! all was well, I didnt kill the dog which was a bonus! when I downsized my craft room I thought I didnt need a large table, works out I lied to myself!
Really good idea, but time consuming as you said. They’re cute. I’m always envious of your ability to assemble the bags. That’s the problem I have, though I’ve sewn all my life, I stink at it! Zips, linings, drawstrings, you make it all seem easy and simple. I admire that part!
Love this idea Sue, thanks for sharing the idea, it's brilliant how you were able to bring together all different patterns and colours and create a fun new design, it looks brilliant! If you saw that as a fabric in a shop, it would definitely catch my magpie's eye! The bags look FAB, especially the drawstring ones are my faves, love the way the pieces you've added really set off the patchworked fabrics, so cool - ooooh the vinyl front one. They're gorgeous Sue, I'm sure they'll sell really well xo
I taught a class on this at both my quilt guilds a few years ago. I teach it using black binding and fabric scraps that are curvy vs being chunks/strips. I do like what you've done here. Every bag looks lovely & fun.
Thank Marianna, it was a labour of love but I feel I may have another go at it despite saying I wouldn't do it again! I love the fabric when its all stitched!
That's the plan Rhonda! what's left are in my ko-fi shop, that way I don't pay such high fees, only PayPal take a cut through ko-fi, I did leave a link below the video I think?
These are great! You've got a lot more patience than I do! Did you use any of that silk you got the other day? I couldn't tell. I got a little worried for Willow when I saw her below that board that wasn't completely steady but, thankfully all was well. TFS 😊
No Kimberley I haven't used the silk yet, this was partly filmed weeks ago, work has been busy so I've had to fit filming and sewing in-between that, dont worry Willow was perfectly safe!
Love all of them, Sue - you have such a creative mind to turn scraps and offcuts into something very useful. My snap pile is building and I may well borrow this idea. Do you mind me asking where you get your fusible wadding from?
I watching this in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep. A great idea and your bags are really cool. Love the butterfly staying intact.
Thanks Sue, did I cure your insomnia? lol

Oh thank you Connie, I'm trying to mix between fabrics and other crafts as much as possible so I'm glad you caught the video ❤️
Lovely bags especially the big butterfly one ❤ you're so creative, making great use from lots of scraps 😊

Fantastic scrappy fabric you made, and fabulous projects. Love your vinyl project bag. ❤❤

I used to be useless too Martha but after dedicating a lot of time to the process I can now do it with my eyes shut, well almost!
@@suzieqmakes so practice makes perfect! Got it. 😃❤️

Thanks Marei, It was goo to use some stuff which had been lurking for years, bias binding (shudder) for one!

@@suzieqmakes just a question are they washable being ironed onto the stabilizer ....not sure help! Was asked this question 🙏
I don't see why they wouldn't be, the stabiliser melts into the fabric, plus there's a lot of stitching so I would say yes.

What a great idea. Can't wait to see the final project.are you going to sell them?

I get mine from Trago Mill in Newton Abbot, not too far for you to get some too!
@@suzieqmakes Ooh, now that's good to know - I've been wanting to take a trip out there for a while and this gives me the perfect excuse!
