Faux fur is not cheap, and the amount of hours spent sewing those pieces of fur together to make the custom patterns can be well into the hundreds for more fancy patterned suits. Not to say some fursuit makers don’t charge an arm and a leg, but they do put in a lot of work.

Yep. You can get it way cheaper but then you risk sacrificing the actual feel of it. Good synthetic furs actually feel nice to the touch. Cheap ones usually feel scratchy or rougher to the touch.
