It is just so arrogant for the pagans of Europe to tell the Jews what the Jewish Scriptures mean.
Dueteronomy 4: ' I did not appear as male or female or as a creature of the air or sea so as not to tempt you. ' Tempt you to what? Worship created things!! That's the whole point of the revelation to Avram, isn't it?
That's the theological starting point of Judaism. The axiom. The basil assumption. Created things are NOT to be worshipped!
Therefore, ANYTHING that is contrary to that theological starting point, CANNOT be based upon Judaism!
Isn't this all that needs to be pointed out?

Marabella, before you dismiss the words of Yeshua, "My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
(John 10:29-30), what is Jesus (Yeshua) actually telling us? He is saying the Father is greater than all. He is saying that those that the Father has given to him to be IN the Father's Kingdom, are safe in the Father's hand. He will keep and protect you in the Father's hand!
Is there anything more loving and caring than this?
What if you are misunderstanding the New Testament? What if you are not even understanding the Tanack or 'Old Testament'? Yeshua (Jesus) perfectly understood the Tanack (Old Testament) and according to him, even Moses saw his coming and the Tanack makes references to the coming of Yeshua as the Messiah. Its worth asking the question that if Yeshua, perfectly knew and understood the Tanack (Old Testament), then why did he see himself as the promised Messiah, in it?
What you will hear from Orthodox Jewish Missionaries can sound convincing, but it is only as true as it reflects their own doctrine! In other words, if you had a different doctrine, it could be that someone else could be equally convincing, because he/she speaks to persuade hearers of their doctrine. So a Jewish person speaks from the Bible to convince of Judaism and another person could use the same bible text convincing people of Islam etc!
The main difficulty that many people have, in understanding who Yeshua is, is because they are looking at the idea of him being "a man", instead of what the New Testament says about him, which was that before he appeared as "a man", he was united with the Father. Many people are looking at things the wrong way round. Instead of seeing Yeshua as God's salvation, which is his actual name (God's salvation is written as "Yeshua" in Psalm 118:14 where it appears in the Hebrew text), instead they are thinking of the 'man' that appeared in the flesh in the 1st century. They are focussing on a man that walked around in Israel preaching and healing the sick, instead of seeing who he really is - God's Salvation for mankind!
"The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation." (Psalm 118:14)
      ..........עזי וזמרת יה ויהי־לי ישׁועה
↑ is the word Yeshua ( ישׁועה ) in the Hebrew text of Psalm 118:14 saying "The Lord....is become my salvation"
It appears again in verse 21
      אודך כי עניתני ותהי־לי לישׁועה
......↑.... "I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation"
and in verse 22 which immediately follows it, Yeshua (Jesus) made his famous quotation:
"The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner."
...speaking of himself as the Messiah that the Temple rejected! There is no doubt at all that Yeshua, who read Hebrew from scrolls, was well aware that his name was written into the the verse which preceded his quotation in Psalm 118:21.
...small wonder that Yeshua knew he would be rejected from the Temple by the Jewish leaders, just as he prophesied would happen!

Really?? Why was this 'pretend discussion' not between a genuine Rabbi and a genuine Messianic Jew, instead of a pretend one that makes his first mistake in his first few lines of introduction?? Messianic Jews do not believe in the tradition of Christmas Eve, practiced by the orthodox churches. Even educated Christians today do not believe Yeshua was born on 25 December! ....So straight away, its very misrepresentative...perhaps deliberately so!
It would be much more authentic, to have a real Messianic person explaining his faith, rather than say having a Muslim to explain the Rabbi's Orthodox Jewish faith and a Jew trying to explain the Messianic Jewish faith.
Otherwise you end up with caricatures as we see in this video.

I can also confess, that what made me seriously research my belief was the day when a Mormon told me exactly the same reaction I had had but from entirely different thing. He understood it meant the book of Mormon was real and I can understand his feeling as I had the same experience but from completely different religion! It was only the feeling of relief, that I felt I had finally found out the truth, nothing else! It was a plain feeling for my expectations. Feelings can deceive you a big time! Your heart can be a deceiver over everything according to the proverbs. Hence please do not run after changing feelings, which comes and goes, but after the word of the most high! The Torah!

At the time i saw it, i did not know what a "simulated debate" was, but i don't care too much about that. This video cemented it for me, Jesus is not Moshiach. I do not have to practice idolatry or look to the New Testament for answers, many christian concepts are taken from Judaism. I am free from being delusional. It demonstrates a confidence in your own beliefs and an open mind. This earns my respect for you personally and for what you believe in. The Jewish Sages have been very influential around the world, whether any one like it or not. I think and feel that, that's the reason why this first Christian who followed the teachings of Jeshua/Jesus, became an impact on the idols worshippers of the planet earth, and of course the indoctrination of the Imperialistic Roman empire, help even further with the new religion, of which even the Muslim became believers of the myth of the birth of Jesus in which the angel Gabriel, as it appears in the Quram, impregnated the virgin commanded by god. This cannot be possible because a woman who was bethrowed to a man could not be violated by man, much less by an angel, because this being would be violating the law of the Most High God. Blessed is He!

Thank you so much for demonstrating to the world that you can dish it out but you cannot take it. Even though every word I spoke was pure history and undeniable and that I quoted Deuteronomy 28, you still had to remove it because you had no answer for it. Do you not realize that God takes notice of this, and how hypocritical it was for you to do it.
    Isaiah 29:11-14 (NKJV)
11 The whole vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is literate, saying, "Read this, please." And he says, "I cannot, for it is sealed."
12 Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, "Read this, please." And he says, "I am not literate."
13 Therefore the LORD said: "Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,
14 Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work Among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden."

The Rabbi destroyed the Jew for Jesus arguments point after point, with what is said,
And not said, in the Jewish Bible, Showing that the Christians picks verses out of context
isn't it ironic how Christians will use the Jewish Bible to support their arguments, but will
ignore most of what the Tanakh teaches,
Such as Deuteronomy 6:4, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God, the Lord is one, Numbers 23:19,
God is not a man, Nor the son of man, Isaiah 44:6, I am the first and I am the Last; besides
Me there is no God. Isaiah 45:5, I am the Lord, and there is no other; there is no God besides me,

    • @lll9409
      @lll9409 3 года назад +1

Yeah, it looks like I am not a jew for Jesus.
This whole set up is just an example how such discussions could go, but I can almost bet they are both ordinary Jews without actually being Christians.
But sure, it is extremely arrogant from Christians to claim how to read and understand the Hebrew language of the Hebrew people. It is like an Indian comes to England claiming how English is to be understood correctly! I can not imagine more arrogant way of approaching the foreign nations.
And yes, a human sacrifice is a huge abomination as well as drinking any blood let alone human blood! When those things are really being thought, it appears how horrible the way the modern Christian is treating the most high!.
And how much hate they contain towards the will of the most high and His sacred advice.
A Christian literally HATES the brachas! And not only hate, but curses those, who dare to believe in the Tora and its laws and believe it is possible to follow them even a very short time let alone most of the time or doing sin no more.
The madness towards holiness of the all local Christians was the last straw for me.
They prayed as a group and in agreement that I should commit a sin only because I dared to believe it is possible to become holy by the most high.
And one other random Christian prayed I would see a monster because of having hope!!! I can not understand how such and so dangerous religion is even allowed to convert people, which mostly happens with lies and pretends! Breaking up families and relationships between the relatives.

  • @FrankHamann
    @FrankHamann 3 года назад +7

What an amazing video. Thank you Rabbi Skobac for this "debate."
I can not emphasize enough that in my opinion, the way you and Daniel debate and highlight the mistaken understandings of the Jewish scriptures by christianity, is a way which simply leaves no room for arguments. I never hear you belittle your opponent nor the religion they adhere to.
The same I find when in - A Rabbi Cross examines the NT - on tanak talk with William Hall, I see you simply pointing out what the Torah teaches and how the NT just simply does not equal Torah.
These lectures should be made mandatory and heard "loud" in Christian churches around the world.
The last "sentiment" Daniel portrayed at the end of the video, that he would pray for you to come to truth etc..
is so very typical and very familiar to my ears.
Hopefully some day soon all mankind will use the faculty Hashem has given them, the mind, to first come to those who were given the Torah, directly from Hashem, and then learn what Hashem actually revealed through the Jewish People.

Indeed, the Rabbi had his way with the believer in Christ. A trained teacher vs. a layman. What a mismatch. Despite, the obvious knowledge gap, to refute the Rabbi weak pts, a more formidable believer would have took the Rabbi to task. Nevertheless, the believer stood up in faith in the midst of barrage of facts not Truths!

I agree with the Rabbi in this debate. However the Jewish religion went astray on claiming the truth for themselves. The belief in One Creator & following the commandments should be followed by all, not just by born Jews. Islam is for everyone & it shares the same message.

The stigma of guilt for sending Yeshua to crucifixion is still strong amongst Jews. Therefore, they would rather deny He is the Son of Hsahem! May I ad that I have yet to hear them do Teshuva for this! Isaiah 46: 9-10 reveals Hashem told us the end from the beginning "Berisheet",and this word clearly talks about the Prince in the House, coming out of the Heavenly House to serve as the Hand of the Almight and fulfil a heavenly covenant ordain by Hashem, this new Covenant would come after the Prince Crucifixion (Tav) Yeshua Ha-Mashiach came to fulfil the Torah,He is the living Torah, the Light in the World, as in the Menorah, unifying the House of Ephraim and Juda. The 2nd coming of Yeshua Ha-Mashiach will be as a conqueror as Yeshua Ha-Melek! If these same Jews would learn the AlepBeit of their language, they would understand the Word Hashem. So many verses in the Torah tell and talk about Yeshua!
This rabbi, whom I found very sarcastic, should know more than anyone how Hashem loathes sarcasm!
I found this rabbi is unnecessary paternising, arrogant

What is really frightening to me is to think about the kind of PERSONALITY that is willing to ACCEPT the notion of HUMAN SACRIFICE, when somebody INNOCENT (like Jesus, for example) has to be tortured and killed for the sins of the GUILTY... What kind of a person can SING PRAISES to GOD and CELEBRATE the INJUSTICE of IT, rather than to DEMAND of
G-d that EACH ONE of US be punished for our own sins, if punishment is necessary. Seriously, how can such a person LIVE WITH HIMSELF (or herself)!? The sheer psychopathy of it scares the living daylights out of me. Are we still so morally and ethically impoverished? How difficult is it to understand that the suffering and death of the innocent people happens as a RESULT OF OUR SINS, and NOT AS AN ATONEMENT FOR THEM!? ABSOLUTELY UNBELIVEABLE and SCARRY AS HELL!

There are two very important items which were not brought forward by the Jew for Jesus 1) the kingdom of Light and the kingdom darkness are two kingdoms within the spiritual realm. These two kingdoms comprise those who are truly God's and those who are not. If Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in darkness," how can anyone who rejects Him be in God's kingdom of light? Those not in the kingdom of light are deceived ones.
    2) everyone born of the fallen (corruptible) seed of Adam has inherited a nature that is separated from the pre-fall, full fellowship with their Maker; a relationship in which both Adam and Eve had prior to the fall. This separation could only be fully restored in the spirit realm by the seed of a woman. Genesis 3:15.
Notice: God speaking to the serpent (devil)-- "I wiil put enmity between your seed (born of Adam) and her seed (born of God). Her seed, who would be born not of the corruptible seed of Adam, but of the incorruptible seed of God (only Jesus). Only the incorruptible seed of God could bruise the head (authority) of the devil, but in return the devil bruises Him on the very heel that crushed the devil's head.
Scripture says that In the eternal realm, Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world.

I have struggled so deeply in trying to find the truth! Is Judaism or Christianity the true religion? I feel through watching this video that it has to be Judaism, but do I need to convert to Judaism. My grandfather was a Jew, but not my grandmother, so my mom was not a Jew because my grandfather DID practice his faith but my grandmother was a Christian, so my mother was as well. But I feel so close to the Jewish people because they are 25 percent of my ancestry. What would God have me do? Please help..

I so appreciate this talk and the way it equips us to combat popular, toxic versions of Christian proselytizing.
Though much like the Zohar and the “sod” level of interpretation, I tend to view the early Christian mystical approach to Scripture as quite enlightening. Originally the point was not to undermine Torah, but simply to move beyond the surface Peshat level of understanding.
For instance, we collectively become the Temple of God, built of many Living Stones/Sons, the House in which God dwells. Such an interpretation moves one beyond the literal temple structure and its sacrifices.
Hence, I loved the emphasis you put on the fact that God does not need sacrifice in order to forgive, an idea that is quite abhorrent to modern sensibilities. But a God who loves to feast with us, as we worship with repentant hearts is quite beautiful. Thank you for that distinction!
All the while, Paul’s concept of Messiah is ultimately not individual, but corporate. As the Heavenly Seed gets planted, and then springs up in many, in an agricultural metaphor of resurrection.

Jews for Judaism didn't understand that Jesus was Jewish. Jews for Judaism doesn't understand the 2 natures of Jesus. Jews for Judaism believes you get into Heaven based on good deeds "Isaiah 64:6 - All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags, we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away, Jews for Jesus believes we can NOT be good enough, we are all unworthy of God Almighty, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Jews for Judaism believes that they are forgiven by prayer, Jews for Jesus believes that there must be atonement/sacrifice for the forgiveness for sins and to keep God's justice perfect and righteous so that no sin goes unpunished "Isaiah 52:13-Isaiah 53" the perfect sacrifices that is fully satisfied could only be Jesus Christ whom they have rejected and despised who was without fault blameless and spotless for their was no violence or deceit in His mouth, but to those who do believe, Kings would shut their mouths at Him, for He will sprinkle many nations, and that many nations He will be worshiped and saved by the God of Israel, for there is no other name under Heaven that we would be saved for only in Christ "Savior" Jesus we have salvation by His one time sacrifice that paid the full debt of sin once and for all for it is finished, fully satisfied and paid in full so that God's justice would remain perfect and righteous having no sin go unpunished, and it reveals God's ultimate love for us, for God demonstrated His own love for us, in that while we were still yet sinners, Christ died for us. By believing in Jesus "that He died paid the full debt of sin, and rose from the dead thereby defeating death/sin once and for all" we are made righteous and perfect in the sight of God so that we may approach the holy throne of God in righteousness and perfection that was only done by the grace/love/mercy of God through faith in the Son Jesus Christ not of works, lest anyone should boast "as if anyone could be good enough for God eternal everlasting Kingdom" Glory to God!

Zechariah 13:2-6 addresses the issue of false prophets.
2 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
3 And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the Lord: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.
4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:
5 But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.
6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends

Yes,this is good, but needs improvement. The original Followers of YaHushua Ben Yosieph did not believe that he was Almighty. So today, there is a minority group like back then that worshipping The Almighty.as the Creator and honoring and respected their teacher. Belief is not a measure of faith. Our Hebrew Faith is based on works. If Any people's want to follow Ribi YaHushua Ben Yosieph and believe he Is NOT the Creator. The ToraH will allow it.
As following The ToraH observance, believing" the "or "a "Messiah is a minor issue.. We can see Hebrew groups throughout history who worship their teachers or Rabbis as a manifestation of The Almighty. We see now that Rabbi Menschen Schneeson has passed and some of his followers believe that he the Messiah and is still alive.
We need a non-trinitarian Messianic and a real Trinitarian Messianic to see the whole issue.
    Thank You

As it says in on our RUclips channel "Comments subject to approval by JEWS FOR JUDAISM, " If we didn't have this "comment approval" policy, Jews for Judaism would become a venue for Evangelical Christians to convert Jews, Anti-Semites to promote Jew-hatred and anti-Israel pro-BDS activists to threaten the State of Israel. That is never going to happen.

The Christian moderators either totally shutoff the comment box, be it positive or negative, from public access or they leave it for anyone to comment, whether in their favour or against them.... Anyway, I rest my case here, as it's your channel, hence your choice, but *don't forget to acknowledge that the State of Israel, two thousand years later, was formed by the help of Christian Nations like The Great Britain & The USA & its allies & is still being supported by them in providing finances & weaponry to its aid!* If Christians really want to invade the Jews of Israel with their "Christian ideology" by hook or crook, why form Israel in the first place? Is it a big deal for Christian superpowers to demolish a tiny State like Israel for ever into oblivion & reconstruct it entirely into a Christian nation by using brute force? This itself proves that your fears are baseless phobias that's used as a guise against the truth of Jesus from being dawned upon your people, lest they come to know the Truth & they become your most feared group, "The Christians"!
