Ah, I got scammed on this very same bridge almost two weeks ago and I'm almost sure it's the same guy from the video. Basically, he took advantage of my kindness and asked a few times to shine my shoes so he could thank me. I finally agreed on the third time and when he finished, he asked: "Brother, can you help me?" and I decided to give him 10 tl which is around 55 euro cents. Five minites later I realized I probably got scammed. But I wasn't angry.

Aww my friend yeah they trick a lot of people unfortunately. The guy in my video was forcefully holding the other guys hand not letting go, as the other guy was trying to talk nicely to let him go, saying sorry, etc, etc. The good thing is they usually will ask 100 or 200 lira (way higher than standard price) and sometimes be aggressive if you don't pay. So luckily you only paid a normal price. Thanks for the comment and sharing your experience!!!

@@ManiacsWorld I think the moral is, if you help somebody, do it for your own pleasure and don't expect (or want) anything in return. I should've just politely decline his offer to "thank" me and continue walking.

I got scammed by the same guy 3 years ago. He insisted I pay him 200 Lira and was a bit aggressive. It was at least a good shine. I gave him the money.

Ah yes! It is so nice to see you back with a new video for your subscribers! I’ve never seen any video from Turkey, from any vlogger, so this should be rather interesting. I am curious as to how you decided to travel to Turkey this time around. Istanbul brings lots of history, along with Europe meets Asia. I especially thought your walk across the bridge at the Bosphorous Strait in Istanbul to be something unique and memorable. After all, this leads into the Black Sea, where war continues with Ukraine and Russia at this time. Nice job sir, and let’s not encounter any earthquakes on this adventure! 👏😁👍⭐️

Turkey is an interesting country. I like Turkey especially at Thanksgiving. 🙂 This was a really nice video!! The beautiful immense mosque in the background would be nice to visit if possible. The shoe shine scam was interesting. One of the worse scams I saw was when Jay Cee was in Rome and people would toss him something then demand him to pay for what he had in his hands that he caught. Jay Cee would just throw it back at them first. I hate scams. Also in Rome they put cheap paintings on the sidewalk and when you step on them while in a crowd walking they create a scene demanding you buy the damaged painting for exorbitant prices. I am looking forward to more from your Turkish visit! It is an unique place to travel and experience their culture. Well done!!!!

You may like it on the holiday, I myself can eat it anytime, as it’s my favorite. Now, take a deep breath and try to focus your thoughts that this series is on the country of Turkey. Not Butterball or some other brand you eat! 🦃🇹🇷
