Filipinos are the most modest, humble, hospitable and friendliest people on earth. God bless the Philippines and Filipinos. Philippines is the place to be.
I love that cafe where you had your mocha coffee..it looks so cozy inside. I've never been to Intramuros yet, and I've been retired and living in the Philippines from California for almost 10 yrs now, and this is the first time I've seen that cafe..thanks to you!! I love all your videos and their contents, it's different from the others... especially when you got your haircut and a massage from the barber. I have no choice but to subscribe!! Please show us more before you leave to go back to Canada, or to another country.
Watching from Surrey, BC with a bit of snow here. It’s summer now in the Philippines, perfect for going to the beach. Take care, PK. Don’t skip the ads, guys, to support our kuya.
No skips at all… my way of returning a favor to you for promoting Philippines as one of the best country in the world.. and of course the people… keet it up brother… watching from Toronto.
I truly appreciate the way you interact with the locals. People are friendly because you are too. I wish you were able to visit Fort Santiago which is very near the Cafe that you went to. That place is very rich in history since a lot of Filipinos, Jose Rizal, included, had been incarcerated there.
I really love the way you interact with the locals. Thanks for promoting the Philippines 🇵🇭 . Filipinos are the most modest, humble, hospitable and friendliest people on earth. God bless the Philippines and Filipinos. New friend here. Stay safe. God bless always.
As some have already pointed out, the statue of the man being shot is our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. And the monument which is guarded 24/7 by the Phil. Marines is where his skeletal remains are. Dr. Jose Rizal was a doctor (Opthalmologist), a polymath and a polyglot. He has numerous monuments and memorials both here and abroad. His novels (Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo) are often cited as part of the inspiration for the Philippine revolution against Spain. Those novels were so controversial that they're actually what led to his execution. The character María Clara - the fiancée of the lead protagonist Crisostomo Ibarra - was fathered by a priest!
Checking in for attendance, kuya PK!!! Enjoy the Manila area! ♥️♥️♥️ street food stalls in Manila are amazing. They saved me during my college days. 🥹🥹🥹
I really like how you interact with the people in the streets. Some of foreign vloggers seems like so picky specially with the foods but you, you dont care eating in the street 😊😊☺️ keep safe always!
I'm disappointed you did not go inside the st. Augustine Church to see the surrounding inside and the gardens to the sides...the Santa Barbara Cafe on side of the church is also nice Old world place.
The statue of a man being executed on a firing squad is Doctor Jose Rizal. He is the same man whose statue was standing surrounded by Philippine flags. He is the Philippine National Hero, and his death was the start of the Philippine revolution against Spain.
@@Travel_chronicles Hawaii is crazy expensive. I'm sure if you find someone to adopt you for your whole stay, it'll be easier on you and they'll probably serve you a whiskey sour 😂🐢
Thank you so much for appreciating our country and our people. I hope you don't mind brother, if you happen to buy the tempura or kikiam and other food items on skewers again, like what you ate in Intramuros, don't dip it directly into the sauce bucket because we don't do that here for sanitary reasons. You may want to ladle the sauce into your plastic cup. Again, thanks for liking our culture. God bless.
Thank you for sharing your journey in the Philippines, my home country, some places I’ve never been to, I’ve lived here in Canada for 52 yrs now but I visit home once in a while, so many incredible places shown by bloggers that I haven’t seen in my life, I’m glad you’re enjoying your visit, have fun n take care
Very nice vlog :) Actually the one on the statue that was on the firing squad is the National Hero of the Philippines - Jose Rizal. He was executed by the Spanish last 1896 in Rizal Park that is why that place is named after him. And a monument in memory of him was also built there (the one that was fenced so that is why you cannot get closer to his monument)
Hi PK, the one who was executed (December 30,1896) u saw was DR.JOSE RIZAL our National hero♥️🇵🇭that huge monument where his body was laid to rest..RIZAL park was named after him because he fought for our country during the spanish ERA more than a hundred years ago🇵🇭
Luneta park and Intramuros are one of the oldest historical places here in the Philippines..Hope you explore more beautiful sceneries here, have fun and enjoy... Welcome to the beautiful island of the Philippines😊🇵🇭
if you love old work feel you will love the restaurant Cafe Adriatico but please go to the branch in the Adriatico circle I suggest their adobo, chocolate eh and mango canonigo cake. go there on an evening
The old walled city, INYRAMIROS, originally have streets with cobble stone or red bricks - just like the heritage residential sites of VIGAN, ILOCOS SUR. This is also true in many parts of old provinces.
Yeah, it's the best thing about traveling to other countries, do as the locals do, if I wanted to go to restaurants I would just stay back home. It's more fun on the streets
People had been telling me about Beef Pares, so it was the first thing I looked for when I went home. Every roadside we would stop to eat because it was so good. Plus I saved a lot on expenses not eating in restaurants.
A little trivia. That monument in Luneta Park is about our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, who was executed by Spanish Authorities.., as depicted in that stone display by a firing squad of Spanish soldiers. He was executed right in that spot firmerly called Bagumbayan, now Luneta.
Try to visit my home town in BIKOL, visit our tourist spot like MAYON VOLANO, Tambunting in DONSOL sorsogon, BIGAHO ISLAND in talisayan prieto Diaz SORSOGON, many many more tourist spots in my province BIKOL
You are passing by the university where i graduated in 1981...PLM - Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (or The Univetsity of the City of Manila). PLM was the FIRST and only city university (financed solely by the City of Manila) in the Philippines and the whoke of Asia, during our time. Today, this concept of financing a university by LGU (local government unit or the city administration) is now adopted by many cities in and ariund the Metro Manila. The PLM was put up to give chance to poor but deserving secondary graduates of Manila's 26 publuc high school (during our time) to continue their tertiary education within the city under as "scholars". It offers an option because subsidized tertiary educations back then were offered only by STATE COLLEGES OR UNIVERSITIES. At PLM, it's tuition free. Only minimal miscellaneous fees are borne by students. To continue your studies, a maintaining grade (no lower than 2.5 on any subject) is required, othwrwise you enter a "conditional" phase if you have a grade lower than 2.5. If you have 2 or more aubjects with below minimum grade...you automatically lost your "scholarship" in this University.
