I'm kinda suprised how much Sweet Potato flavored sweets there are. Pumpkin and chestnuts are popular in autumn everywhere. But Japan's seems a bit obssesed with Sweet Patato flavors.

I just came back from Japan and actually had the pumpkin pudding while I was there. It’s just straight pumpkin filling to me, no spices or sugar added in. So it’s what is advertised but also…I don’t want to eat more of it?
A side effect of making dyed bread like that is you need to cook it longer at a lower temperature or the crust will just look like normal bread crust, that's also why the bottom looked like normal bread, however it was baked the bottom was hotter than the top. Personally I find the crust to be the tastiest part of good bread, so I'm not a fan of dyed breads in general, but I can see the appeal.
I hate nearly every japanese bread, it's tasting nearly the same everywhere (and with that I mean mostly close to no taste) and it's always the soft and sweet kind. Had to search a german bakery last time to get something decent. Even the bread they served with my over 100€ kobe beef was more like bread from a discounter here.
