Good playthrough, I'd suggest just shutting off the engines and ignore the lasers at Mechanical boss. Just shoot down and kill the ambassador with regular guns asap. Once you get use to it, you might clear with without getting borded, and if it does happen it should only be one. Think you did a solid job for playing by urself. My buddy named Star + I usually play the Drill 1 or perle, it's so much easier with 2 people... Heck... we get to 20k fathoms sometime. I miss playing this game.
Btw do you know how to permanently get the eldritch staff? I know you can get it from the times traveller but the odds are like 0.01%. I also know it has something to do with relics but that's about it
From what I understand, you find a relic called "Encased Staff" and then you can use some secret code to unlock it (which you can find on the We Need to Go Deeper wiki). How you use it, I'm not really sure. I never use the Eldritch Staff because I personally don't like it.
@@mela2353 I think you can find it in caves within the Ancient Abyss (not sure). All Relic drops are based in RNG, unfortunately, so there's guarantee of when you'll get it. And yeah, that is the code. How you use it? Where? No idea.
12:42 - The Pale Whale 36:06 - The Barnacle Hive 52:18 - The Ephyra 1:17:03 - The Ambassador (this was my first time fighting this boss, and he can be ridiculous to those without a plan). 1:41:54 - The Ancient One - I don't actually "fight" him, though. I just skip him and do the time warp with the Time Traveller, as I didn't have the appropriate items (Translation Book and Record Player) to actually deal with him. Also, some enemies from the biome had somehow followed us into the Boss arena, so, that was annoying.

One of Markiplier's videos shows that they got to the ancient stage but not to the boss. They kinda died to glitched out enemies. Do you know what i'm talking about?
