It's so lush and green there! I love the water views and boat ride. You found even more delicious food - but I'm not surprised with Gogo always on the hunt for the best eats. The bird was so tame to sit on your hand Kay!
Dosa is the main attraction of south. You guys are really checking out some amazing street food and local experience. Travelling like local or eating like local is really charming
In fact It;s called "DOSAE" in Kannada and "Thosai" in Tamil . It's sad that the word' Dosa' is being used by many ppl. In sanskrit DOSA/DOSHA means sorrow.
The Dosai taste varies from state to state and there are different types. You haven't explored all if them. But i love the fact that you dont chose fancy restaurants and chose local eatery places..
Red Bananas are available in Supermarket where I live - Crofton, Maryland, USA. It comes from Mexico. BTW, try the finger bananas. Kay and Gogo! It is always a pleasure to see your vlogs! You two are a wonderful couple! God Bless you both! Cheers!
@@davidtwyford3066 If you are in London you can get Masala Dosa in South Indian Restaurants, there are a few I believe! The taste may not be comparable to what you experienced in India, but near enough! I haven’t been to UK since 1981 so my information may be outdated. Here in Maryland, USA, we have a quite a few South Indian Restaurants where you get reasonably good Masala Dosas. BTW, quite a few locals like Masala Dosas and South India Vegetarian cuisine! Cheers!
Really love your videos. And them red bananas are tasty. I had them in Kerala they gave me them and said they are good for upset stomach and digestive system.
While making rava masala dhosa recepie would be same but once finished veggies they will take out and put in small bowl and wrap dhosa and will serve you
Becoming famous in India are we? 😁 How is the coffee in India? Strong? That church looks interesting. Breakfast looked interesting. What kind of chutney was that? Lovely park. Nothing like a boat ride on the river. Gogo the bird whisperer.
You know the reality is!! India is a huge country and every region you visit the food is amazing. So the answer of your question is NO!! That’s because the food in India all over is best. We can’t just put 1 city has the best food but we can say India has the best food and a big choices as well!! What is your favourite food?
I'm so sorry! I've been wanting to ask you about your hand and I forget by the end of the video. How's your hand ma'am? What happened? I hope you're doing well now.
Dosa and Idly originated in Udupi, Karnataka. Mysore created their own dosa by adding a layer of spicy gunpowder paste to the dosa. It's popular across India as Mysore Masala Dosa everywhere.
Wrong! In the 10th century of the Chalukya period. There was a mention of dosae and idli flour written in an old kannada Script called Shivakotyacharya's Vaddaradhane . Urud dhal is mostly grown in the Deccan region of India.
u were bang on the coconut chutney.. many establishments nowadays are too commercial and tend to dilute the chutney to save cost as coconut is a costly affair.. but not this hotel.. they dont compromise on quality. a very important lesson for other eateries if they happen to watch this video.. bt unfortunately even crap tasting hotels like the rameshwrm cafe makes millions a day!
ok so... you almost lost Gogo!!!! So irresponsible Kay! Good to see him get some exercise though paddling the boat! And I wouldn't have expected black swans in India! I had no idea!
@@KayandGogo They did (ask for money) ? That is so wrong, but i know it is common in india in tourist places and the con men and pushy touts have made the tourist experience in india somewhat negative. The seasoned travelers will be ok and thick skinned enough to still be enjoying india, What a SHAME as india has so much to offer for tourists. PLEASE BE ALERT and be aware there are lots of con men and pushy touts. On a positive note, i am very optimistic things will get better as india rises economically and there is better school education, Many of these touts and con men are less educated and their education has been in the streets. Also try to get the mobile payment apps and UPI activated and avoid cash payments as much as possible.
@aMutantMind we are fine with it. Our subscribers told us at the beginning of our journey when we arrived not to give as India wants to change this culture and foreigner that give are wrong as they make it acceptable. We understand that way of thinking. Plus we are budget travelling too. We do however see opportunities of kindness these are my favourite moments when someone doesn't ask. Like today we bought a small boy a lovely icecream he didn't ask but he was working hard. It's good to be kind and life is a struggle in so many countries. @@KayandGogo oh, ok. But they didn't even give you sambar! I don't know of any self-respecting South Indian restaurant that doesn't give sambar with their dosas. Something doesn't add up here. Have you eaten at least 5-6 different restaurants' dosas in India?
@@MCMURTHY I went back and read about this place and many customers' reviews. Looks like their food is made to suit senior citizens who lost all their teeth 😂😂. North indians made dose to dhosa😂
In Kannada it's called "DOSE" " ದೋಸೆ ", not DOSAE
Karanji in local language Kannada means Water fountain . Karanji Lake Park would therefore mean a Park with a lake having a fountain. Nice video.
Thanks for your kind information
Yum Yum Yum.....Dosa is a main stay of South Indian meals. Nicely covered.
