It is still the WORLDS biggest brick built building, disused for so Long, Will take a while. I do like your positioning of camera, I am from Liverpool, try to visit as much as possible. Is there still a market in the building? Many happy memories with family of that time (2000’s) wandering around Ground floor of building. A good day out, a special place
It's actually the largest brick WAREHOUSE in the world. There are other larger brick constructions. It's still a major record to have though, in it's own right.
It wasn't that long ago they were punching holes in the far wall of the derelict end for more windows. I'd take hope from that but I don't think it'll progress now until all the completed section are sold.
Not enough sales yet on the 1st stage to justify them making further progress imo. I thought they were pricey tbh plus then big management charges on top and then you have the worry of uncompleted areas next to you and still not much progress in immediate area. Could be a long time before its fully completed.
@ Only a third converted - sounds like they didn’t even close to finishing. Do you know who was behind the development? Wonder if Everton and Friedkin may get involved in some capacity. Convert some of it to a hotel.
@@ScouserWithADrone 👍 It’s poor from them anyway whoever they are. Sounds like they should never have been given the contract. Though I’m confident another business will take it on and complete the project. Be nice if it’s Everton.
Thank you for these videos , keep em coming !
@@Everton-ww8qk Thank you for watching!
Absolutely stunning building and fantastic it's being renovated.
I want past it on the train a week ago and lads were working at the top.
@@bluenose1744 I don’t know what’s going on with it mate 😂

@@keithbillington8747 The market isn’t there anymore. I remember going to that market as a kid in the 90’s 👍🏻

The largest single brick constructed building in the World to be precise 👍👍👍

Good video 👍
Thank you!
Yeah nothing has happened for a couple of years since the first part was complete
@@phillongfootphotographyuk It's such a shame. Hopefully someone can sort it out!

Some of the prices are insane. They aren't as nice as what I thought they'd be inside either. There's hardly any natural light coming into the rooms.
Yeah the pricing looks crazy.
What was the aim of the development? Apartments, hotel or something else?
Apartments. 1/3 of the building has been converted, but the rest of it remains derelict.
