This is some good info. This guy knows the business. Thank you Marc & Daniel. Very honest. Best guy you had on so far.
Best, best best!
that hour just flew by. everything Daniel said is exactly what you and Brantley and Dave have been saying all along. how you can keep answering the same questions over and over without running off into the night yelling and pulling your hair out is amazing to me. thanks for all you do!
This is an awesome professional interview Marc. 🙂👍 You have asked Daniel the right questions.
Awesome video. Daniel. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with us nerds.
What an outstanding interview/ video. More like this with Daniel please. Advantage play one would be good. Thankyou Daniel great explanations. Maybe some day people will change their minds to what the truth really is
Daniel- I really enjoyed your commentary and you validated a lot of things I have always thought. Also a BIG Thank you for answering how specifically the mystery pick works on a game like Dancing Drums! I actually asked that during this channels last live stream and despite the mods saying it was a good question ( and i’ve personally never seen it asked before) they never answered it! I hope you come on again as I found the part where you said you are an “advantage player” very interesting and hope you will elaborate more on that topic one day! cheers! 👍🏼❤️
Best interview I've seen in along time !
Thanks Marc, very interesting. I like info from the inside.
Great video! Learned even more about slots & how they get to casino floor. Breaking all the myths is also great. Volatility is the name of the game with budget control.
Great interview! Former slot attendant here. I have spoken before the Ohio Gaming Commission twice and the Michigan Gaming Commission twice. When the Ohio commission was in the midst of writing the rules and regulations for the casinos I lobbied for jackpot seizure IF the winner owed back child support. I also fought for the unclaimed vouchers monies to be given to the 88 Ohio counties to be used for their county fairs.
I HATE the new style games! Almost ZERO winning line hits. I almost NEVER get a bonus and end up being a contributor to someone else's fortune. Maybe next time you interview Daniel you could ask him, "On a machine that is NOT a "must hit by" is the progressive amount set at a certain dollar amount until hit or is it totally random with each spin?"
Thanks for a great channel.
Regular progressives (not must-hit by), the odds are the same every game played. The size of the progressive, a "capped" progressive, or a recently won progressive has no bearing on the odds of winning the progressive.
Thanks Marc and Daniel for sharing valuable information about slot machines.. love you both
Thank you, Daniel, for answering my question about Buffalo Gold Revolution. Also Thank you, Marc for the wonderful work you do.
Thx Marc and Daniel! This was a ton of incredible knowledge!
Wow. That guy is really smart and articulate.
Daniel- Thank You Very Much and Thank You Marc! So much knowledge shared to really help everyone.
Excellent interview
Fantastic interview.
Invaluable information!
Highly recommend watching!
Great interview! I'm glad you finally got someone who worked in the industry. I have a question for Daniel about video poker and how the pay tables work. If I'm playing a 9/6 double bonus with a payback of 97.81%, how is that better than playing a random slot machine? I know video poker is supposed to have more of a player edge against the casino. Can he explain how the cards are chosen randomly for different pay tables?
I have the same question.
Awesome interview! I learned slot machines are very complicated.
Thank you Daniel
Excellent video. I hope Daniel becomes a regular visitor to the channel.
I agree! We'll be sure to invite him back to the channel!
This was beyond wonderful!!! Please do a livestream with him 🎉🎉
Would love to learn about the realities of advantage play. Thanks for doing this Marc and Daniel!
This was an awesome video, a lot of good information😊
Awesome interview.
Super interview…….it almost makes me feel like I should not gamble.
Thank you both for this. So much good information
So much good information thanks Marc Hi from Fresno California
Great show. Can’t wait for another.
Definitely interesting Daniel and Marc two peas in a pod 👍 Question : what are your thoughts of Gold bar 7 I've done really well almost every time
Something I have always wondered about on modern electronic slots is whether in multi-game cabinets. i.e. with 4 different games in the one machine, and where the player is choosing one of the games to play. whether the return-to-player percentage is set at one consistent figure across the entire machine, or whether it can be individually set differently for each individual game within that machine/cabinet.
Myths busted!
Great video! People will still believe in crazy myths. Is that cat ok?
Marc, you should reach back out to Daniel and ask why on the par sheet the “bonus frequency” isn’t anywhere to be found.
Of all the things a player would like to know, especially now since every game essentially has a secondary bonus, this is along with the payback is the most critical factor in player satisfaction. Let’s face it, people are playing for the bonus.
Wheel of Fortune par sheets used to show bonus frequency, now no games do it.
We'll add it to the list for the next video!
check the game slicks/cut sheets. i can think of a number of games where the par sheet does not include bonus frequency, but it is included on the cut sheet.
Love this interview! I would love to ask him on the machines like platinum or wild gems. Those three real machines where you can bet up to $27. I noticed if you bet less than the maximum lines a lot of times the symbols will line up in an area where you didn’t activate. I have seen this happen so many times. Are they programming the misses this way to make you think if I you bet max it would land ?
We'll add it to the list for the next video!
In 2015 the regulating board passed a law where manufacturers could, if you had a losing spin, change the outcome of the spin. In other words, when your spin came up as a loss they can change it to look like a near miss.
@ Yes I am aware, just want confirmation that they do it from a coder.
Good information if you’re in a Gaming Commission jurisdiction. My area only has tribal casinos. They primarily self regulate. There’s no other periodic oversight that I’m aware of. This puts a lot of people feeling uneasy and suspicious of nefarious activities.
Hi Marc, during your next interview , will he explain keno? For instance, if you bet certain spots, does it trigger other spots to come out? Thank you. This was a great interview.
Is there any correlation between buying a bonus? And your odds of a progressive (coin trio etc.
I have heard that higher denomination slots have a higher payback percentage. What happen with a multi denominational slot machine. Do they have different pay tables for different denominations?
Question Marc: Does freeplay affect the RTP. It seems I never get much kickback when using freeplay as opposed to using real cash.
Second question: During a bonus round for example Dragonlink: is the bonus predetermined at the start of the round before the balls drop or can you “time” your spins and get a different result. Thanks, great video
Anything ETG related. Random vs RTP, etc. Thank you in advance!
What I really want Daniel to answer is during the Spin and Hold feature of Dragon Link Does the player's timing when hitting the spin button influence or select a new random number and the timing matters or is the outcome of the game predetermined at the outset. There are a lot of screen slappers out there!
It’s not pre determined. Each button press is a separate RNG event.
A question I would like to have answered by him would be if you had a game like Thunder Cash, would playing 5 lines on a 5, 10 and 20 line machine play the same or are you missing out by not playing all the lines
Here's my question Marc. How can there be rng call in the spin and hold feature when there can only be 1 Major in the game according to the rules. The Major can appear on any line so theoretically you could have multiple Majors won on each line. The only other explanation is the game is predetermined at the outset and what the player is presented with is a "SHOW' of the outcome of the initial RNG of the bonus game. The RNG selects the prize amount and then selects one of several paths that the prize can be displayed. For example you could have a $1000 orb or you can have a Major orb or a line win that equals $1000. The $1000 prize was determined at the outset of the bonus.
Working on a video to explain this!
Hey Marc, great video lots of great information! One question I would really like answered that I don’t think I heard in this video is this. On each and every spin does the machine have the ability to choose from the same virtual reels on every spin? Or is it presented with certain ones that it can choose from and certain ones that are not available? I do believe this was talked about a little around the 22 minute mark of the video and I think this is where a lot of questions arise with the payouts and how random they really are?
the example he uses is for a hold and spin. you may notice that you get a lot of 1x and 2x amounts most of the time, but that there is an occasional bonus where the minimum ball you get is 5x or 10x your wager. while possible, it is not a likely outcome and could mean that the game has different reel sets to select from. it might be that the game can pick a higher paying reel set for the bonus. but it is impossible to be sure without lots of bonus plays or a look under the hood (which you are unlikely to get as all the relevant documents are labeled "confidential" and "trade secrets").
How about reservations casinos
Great video. I would like to ask Daniel a question about betting. I play lots of slots that have 9 lines with max bet. I usually don’t max bet. I will play 3 or 5 lines. It always happens that a jackpot hit will come on a line that I did not bet. If I was betting max bet would have that jackpot hit. Or was the slot machine just flirting and out that jackpot hit there since I was not betting it.
Can you ask him let me know thanks.
I would like to see Daniel play slots with mark and Dave and give us more information. How to feed the dragon
I got 14 gold heads and never got the 15th. Next time, hopefully.
Is there a way to find out the machine pay back percentage%?....91, 95..98%???
What is an advantage player? This term confuses me.
hello
I've seen The Wizzard of Oz - I know for a fact that the slot director is hiding behind a curtain and controlling every spin.
Where are your facts to present?
What about the two separate people that won millions and were told no you didn’t win. 😢
I saw some poor B hit 3 quick hits on the line but he was playing one credit instead of two on double jackpot blazing sevens and he would have won 10,000 credits for that had he been Max betting
Yeah, we see that all the time. :(
The real problem is channels like "Jackpot Famous" trying to sell ebooks on how to play dragon link like hes some type of slot whisperer and hes really just a con artist! There is still contradicting info that gets spread around from all the expert slot techs but that's mainly because different manufacturers and games all have different ways of doing things.
Yeah, I've seen his videos - he doesn't know what he's talking about
@GambleSmart it's sad hes taking advantage of people. Those are the people that really ruin the hobby
Yeah, I've been toying with the idea on doing a video going over his book and his new slot app - I feel that people like that can't go unchecked. But, it's risky and I don't want to cause drama.
@GambleSmart maybe bring awareness to the idea that these people are out there without mentioning names. He's not a huge name and doesn't have many friends in the space and the calabs he has done I don't think those people will rush to his defense because it'll make them look bad too...
are you sure you have the right channel that’s the “problem”? DLucky put out a $250 Dragon Link ebook years ago. If anyone is going to do a video on this topic, I suggest you do it on that one first.
I would like to see them.
Do a video on the D lucky experience The scammer
Me too but they won’t touch him for some reason. They never bring him up. I guess they would rather pick on smaller channels.
We try to stay out of the drama as it can backfire. What small channels do we pick on?
@gamblesmart you can’t be serious? 🤣
I am, which ones do we pick on?
