Would definitely be excited for that course. I'd love to get more VideoCopilot-esque content that really takes you step by step teaching you the absolute most basics all the way to more advanced.
First of all , I really do appreciate your effort and thank you for being different from other ones who make tutorials on this subject, most of them just say do this do that with no explanations about why we have to do those stuffs. This video felts like a college or university class with emphasizes on details . Beside this , I hope you make a long and in depth tutorial in which you make a full short cinematic from scratch for artists who cant afford buying paid courses . I`m an artist from Iran and we have so many problems for making the money(due to horrible Rial to Dollar rate) and also have many problems for transferring money to foreign countries because of the sanctions we have here(thanks to the Iranian evil, damn , dictator government.). I really do need such course and tutorial from a pro like you and I`m sure so do many other artists. Thanks a million again👑🍻✨
Excellent introductory tutorial here >> the detail is easy to follow and precise instructions yet the pace keeps it interesting and not bogged down >> instant subscription and yes would be interested in a full course to get us up to an intermediate level would be great... thank you for the time and effort here 👌💯👀🎥🎯😎🌠
Really great video! Concise and clear! Thanks a lot for creating this channel and for sharing this knowledge! Would also be looking forward to your upcoming course! My two cents would be to have more chapters and design the course around ICVFX and VP techniques and gotchas rather than only focussing on cinematics as there aren't many good VP and ICVFX courses out there but there are tons and tons of cinematics courses :)
Nice video and channel, instant subscribed, do you palanning to do a longer video about Previz from botton to top? Because there are almost zero in depth video about it, tips and trick, kamera, movement, fast iteration for producion, etc..
@@balazsbelanyi213 thanks! That’s kind of the idea behind the course i mentioned at the end of the video, which would cover in-depth setup for Previz and cinematics. Definitely too much to cover in one video, so it would be broken into multiple lessons detailing the whole process from start to finish. If that’s something that interests you, please let me know!
hi i created a nice short cinematics but i realize that my characters need expressions changes and im not using metahuman im using those paragon characters, how can i edit the face expressions in my characters? nice video btw!
Thanks! I’ve seen people animate the faces of Paragon characters using 3rd party mocap plugins, but this requires additional software and setup. On the flip side, you could take the head of a Metahuman and put it on the body of a paragon character, and then animate the Metahuman face using livelink. There are RUclips tutorials that show how to put a Metahuman head on the body of another character
thanks for this video... i just noticed the crop thingy on the camera... tell me please, Im used to always change the filmback to 36*15.319 to get 2.35 will this cause any issues?
Thanks! And you can just use a standard 16x9 (1.778) aspect ratio and then use the crop setting to conform it to something like a 2.39 crop. It’s easier than trying to get a very specific filmback setting to match it
I used a post apocalyptic clothing pack from the Unreal marketplace, and they have a great tutorial on how to add it. But essentially, you go into the Metahuman blueprint and add the clothing by plugging it into the skeletal mesh asset for the body, legs, feet, etc. (each clothing item gets imported aa a skeletal mesh) Then theres one additional step in their tutorial that helps setup the clothing for movement
Using lenses as an example is misleading for a pure techvis definition, deciding on lenses is interchangeable between previz and techvis. Techvis relates to camera rigs setup in previz vs the camera rig on-set. If a camera is rushing between keyframe A and B, that speed needs to be determined if the physical dolly can handle that speed, how high a camera can boom with the current set design limitations, etc. then it goes back for revision in previz. Sometimes a 3D model of the camera rig is built and setup as a ketframable asset to show the DP how everything will operate, how much space is needed for people on set to operate the camera, then showing that setup to the camera department Sometimes with these changes you're essentially reblocking in the shot if needed. Lens choice is relevant to techvis BUT isn't unique to techvis, it's extremely common for lens palette exploration to also happen in previz. Sometimes a DP will supply specific lenses along with filmback data to use very early in the previz process. But that's only a minor point out. Love your video!
There are so many tips, tricks and just great information in this video. Do not sleep on trying these out! Sign me up for a course!

How did you add custom clothing to Metahuman?

Great note! Glad you liked the video
The contrast between this dudes perfectly sculped hair and messy beard, gave me a headache. :S
