OMG I have searched for MONTHS looking for a tutorial like yours and not one was as helpful as this one . Im on my 2nd one now but trying a claw clip instead of the comb (experimenting a little with different types of hair and clips/combs for a secure attachment ). Im excited now I can finally do my hair the way I want and NEED when my hair drives me crazy. And they look amazing over those store bought ones too . thanks you saved me time, money and I look and feel confident with my new look !

Excellent video! I've always wanted to make my own ponytail from scratch but didn't know how. Thanks to your video I bought all the supplies including the hair and I made not one but two ponytails. Now I am set for those "bad hair" hot summer days. I used your video all through the process of making it. Thank you very, very, very much.

This is a fantastic tutorial. I have dyed orange hair which is really hard to colour match with readymade pieces, but I did find orange Remy, so thank you so much for this! I’m going to try it here over in the UK :) great job!

Jacquee - what a wonderful video! I have long, but very thin light brown hair and have searched for a straight, super long, an extra full (like 200grams) drawstring virgin human hair ponytail that gave me a lot of additional hair AND that I could afford. But I keep coming up empty. With your video, I now have the confidence to just buy the hair wholesale and make a custom pony myself! So many, many thanks :-)

  • @lvngnzen

WOW!!! Thank you soooo much!! I haven't tried to make my custom ponytail yet, but have been wanting to have one custom made out of my cut up left over EXPENSIVE indian hair. This way I would be able to get ALL the miles I could out of it.

What a great idea. I have instant extensions (I think that's what it's called) it's supposed to stay on like a headband with fishing line, needless to say that it doesn't work. The whole thing falls off when you lean forward so I've never worn it out and it's been sitting in my closet for about three years, thanks for this tutorial now I can make that hair into something usable.

I can never find human hair ponytails in a light enough shade (I'm platinum bordering on white!) so decided to dye some light blonde ones and then try and make a ponytail myself. Then I had no clue how to actually do it, until I found your video! Thank you SO MUCH for making it! Just when I thought I'd be stuck with acrylic hair forever, lol! Your video has been a massive help, and I shall send you some pictures once I've had a go at making one myself (if it turns out nicely!) x

Thank you so much for making this video. I wear a lot of fake hair and I used to dye it to a 1A so I could easily match at my beauty store, but now that I'm natural brown I really can't find my shade in the ready made pony's anymore. This completely solves my problem.

I work as a flight attendant and we have to wear our hair pulled up either in a ponytail or bun. I hate my naturally thin hair and usually wear extensions but have to have a low ponytail or spend a lot of time trying to hide my tracks with my hair pulled up.
I’m super excited to try out some ponytails using your method.
I know myself and a lot of other flight attendants too that could benefit so much from your video and talent. If you offer to make these, please let me know. Thank you so much!!

I can’t believe I’m just now seeing this video 10 years after it was posted! I’ve been thinking that I could somehow make my own hair extension pony tail after buying a couple wrap around ones that either are way too heavy/flimsy and fall off or look fake. I’ve been looking every where for a video/tutorial just like this so I greatly appreciate you taking the time to post this.
I love the drawstring method and how you showed everything you purchased and each step. Your ponytails looked awesome! Thank you sooo much for posting this! You are super talented and if you’re not doing so by now; could have a nice little side business selling your ponytails/extensions.
