    This is when Dwight had a tremendous bounce. Everything from rebounds to hook shots looks so effortless, his confidence was also on another level.

    Dwight was a monster in magic , they should retire his shirt , he take the magic tô the finals and make team a force in that time, 2008-2012 dwight was the best center in the league

      Ytalo Rafael i think the magic really treated him disrespectful he did so much for the team and the community and right after he leaves they give his number to a different player

      TLBJNAB yes since he left magic they are irrelevant, he did too much for magic , he beat lebron and take magic to the finals ,magic is one of worst franchise ever , they let mcgrady oneal and dwight left , dwight dominate for 8 years and they didnt retire his shirt, poor franchise, what a shame

    Being from Orlando , when Dwight was here I supported the home team so much. It’s never been the same since he left. He was truly a force and improved every year man. Had the league in his hands. Miss seeing him dominate . The league was just so different and worth watching .

      he played at that level for 7 years. Anything longer than that is unusual for a player like him that relies on athleticism. His game wasnt sustainable once the injuries piled up.Id say he was as great for long enough, even if he was younger than average to start declining.

    • @knucklesaukuso5086
      @knucklesaukuso5086 5 лет назад +7

      Super R Howard’s always had post moves and he’s still got it. For some reason they just wanna use him for shot blocking and rebounds. They should give him more touches.

    • @TheIcemanthomas
      @TheIcemanthomas 4 года назад +9

      @@knucklesaukuso5086 the problem was that all if his post moves were athleticism based and not skilled based. He never developed a go to move or counter move. Not did he ever work on his footwork, shooting range, or free throws. He used his quickness and strength to out muscle guys. Or he would just straight up jump over u. All the running hooks, spin moves, drop steps. etc were all based on his abilty to be more verticle than his opponents. Well alot of people dont realize dwight is only 6 f 9 because he plays so much bigger than he is. But with all the injuries zapping his verticality, he lost that mobility and agilty that made him so special. He is still strong, but he gets no lift on those hooks like he used to. He isnt blowing past guys anymore because of his back problems. And all the bulk he used to carry made him super stiff in his movements as he aged too. That on top of the unfavorable situations in LA and Houston with kobe and harden. He just hasnt had a real stable situation to play in since orlando. and hes been injury prone. Plus the league is trying it's best to rid the game of old school centers like dwight and andre Drummond, so his style of play clashes with the current perimeter oriented game.

    • @orlmagicfan4life528

      @@TheIcemanthomas Extremely well put. Difference between Howard and the best centers of all time is that they are 1-3 inches taller than him! So even though Shaq and Wilt's games were also very much based on strength and athleticism, as they got older they could still use their height and reach to their advantage without the explosiveness. Shaq and Wilt did have more skills in the post though.
