How I Found 3 Griffon's Eyes In 48 Hours From Terrorized Andariel!!!

- I discovered that terrorized Andariel has wicked chances of dropping Griffon's Eye despite what Maxroll drop calculator says. I believe I can farm 1 per day which is way too easy! They might have broke the game a bit with this one! If you need Griffon's then watch this video!
How did you get catacombs to stay terrorized? Or did you just have to wait for it come up randomly each time to do all of the runs?
On single player using PC you can alter the time on Windows to generate the TZ you want.

I did about 250 runs over the weekend after watching your vids and I found about 45 of my grail items (82% in now) with some highlights being - Mara's, Sacred Armor (not the good one), CoA, Giant Skull, Schaeffer's, Griswold pieces, Tal's armor, 2 facets, 2 skillers, a Sur rune, and so much more. No SoJs yet though :(
The SOJs will come if you do enough runs. While nightmare is better for SOJ there are still fantastic odds from hell TZ andy. Ive found 3 or 4 SOJs from TZ hell Andy the past 2 months. The best odds in the game is terrorized Andy normal difficulty. I wouldn't do that though lol.
So from what I've seen when an area gets terrorized it gains a new treasure class "area" called something like "Desecrated" which basically spawns all the mobs in that area in at +2 of your character level, and also ignores original drop tables of the non terrorized version, so therefore any item in the game can drop from any mob in the game as long as it's in a terror zone at mlvl87+

This game keeps surprising me too. OHM from NIGHTMARE BAAL wave 5 on single player offline today, what the hell! But hell TZ Andy has been aweful to me, not a single usable item. Congrats and nice video!
Great video! I did the clock hack and ran Andy TZ on P3 for about 2 hours. The drops are insane! Found my first CoA!
why player 3? can someone explain? why not just run everything on p8?
If you look at the drop odds P3 significantly increases. At P8 the odds are better but it takes a lot longer. You can probably run 3x P3 runs vs. P7, so in the long run P3 is better. P7 only makes sense if your looking for HRs.

Yes, only single player allows the terror zone to be controlled simply by changing the PC time. Sorry for not being more clear in the video.

That 48 hours involved about 38 hours of game time haha. I don't make videos anymore because that many hours for a video equals less than minimum wage 😂

Hi. Today i bought an unid Griffon's for Jah 2 Ohm and it rolled perfect on both main stats 20 15 but not quite perfect on defense. It will be perfect for my Javazon when i put a 5 5 die lightning facet in it.

@@BlakesSpace86 That's ok. I attempted with my Nova sorc with ~200mf. This place is "barely legal"...In around 200 runs I got Death's Fathom, Steelrend, Shadow Dancers, Vipermagi, Vgaze, Dracs, etc...Not a single Diadem though, but I guess it's just RNG... I spotted a few Unearthed Wands though...

wow, at first I tought you were lying, then Cathedral and Catacombs got terrorized in my game and I decided to try it with my Blizz Sorc (P5 ~440MF) I'm like 20 runs and already got Mavina Diadem and Death's Web... I'm going to keep grinding for that Griffon's, thanks

Griffs is a TC87 item so it doesn't show as it's accessing her normal (level 81?) drop table
When it's terrorized above mlvl 87 anything can drop griffin's eye.
The highest drop rate area is actually the maggot lair according to drop calcs (also factoring in density differential vs boss tables)
I wasnt talking about her normal drop table. I was talkjng about her terrorized drop table. Many people on the internet still think TZ Andy can't drop griffons and other things.

ok so ive done some runs now and gotten 4 steel rends, 3 unique hydra bows, 2 maras and alot of other stuffs, but for some reason i only have seen 1 set diadem sense i accidently change map layout and before that i was unlucky to get 1 eth griffon. does the game seed perhaps alter the loot chances or am i just a bit unlucly?

Map seed seems to directly effect what loot drops from my experience. I constantly find the same items on the same seed. I actually farmed my eth exile base from a rack in LK. I noticed if i clicked it at an exact time during my run it would give me a sacred targe. Kept doing it until i got a 40+ resist eth one.
Ive also spent countless hours farming runes in LK and on a couple different occassions ive found back to back sur runes. There is a video of Mr Llama showing this method where he can get the rune he wants from the chest every time. I know these methods are "poppables" but ive farmed the same seeds for very lomg periods of time and you do see very uncanny patterns to the loot. I dont think its luck.
Curious if all your andy runs were on the same seed or spread out over multiples?
These drops are really really good.
I mean, it's hard to compare to online play with random maps and unstable player counts, etc..

How were you able to get 720 Andy runs done within 2 hours? It's always showing 7 am on the clock? Or was is Andy always terrorized at 7am?
I used 2/16/22 7am as my date and time to force TZ Catacombs.

I have a 92 tz and don’t see any diadem drops. I play on p5 with 365mf. Do I need to have a higher tz for the diadem? Never found one in over 2000h of playing
Just like to say thanks alot! I play single player on console and your method worked! After about 600 or so runs with my 400 mf hammerdin on P5 it dropped! Gonna keep going in hopes of getting my first SoJ!

Yes it is single player and it's either p3 or p5. I can't remember anymore. I think it says somewhere at the beginning of the video. I have found through more experience that I got really lucky. Its not that easy.

After seeing this vid I've decided to also run TZ hell andy. Ran for roughly 3 hours, and I've actually gotten Mang Song's, Dweb, a facet, arachs, andy's visage and a shako for good measure. This stuff is crazy...
how did you run TZ andy for 3 hours when the terror zones rotate every hour?

This game can be crazy, I found 2 pair of shadow dancers 5 minutes apart in terrorized catacombs 4 from a devilkin on d2r. I made sure to get a video of the second pair dropping. Thanks for the info effort.

normal hell Andy is lvl 75 and her TC is 69 so no, she can't drop TC87 without being terrorized
Its definitely because Terrorize boosting stuff is whack. Awesome finds though. Going to make a sorc and farm andy now too :D

Yes, it can be forced in single player by changing the time on the PC.

As far as i can tell she can still drop from tc87 but maybe they fixed her quest drop because im not getting nearly as many uniques or tc87 drops as before. All i need is griffons to complete my grail. Im lvl 92 477mf single player. This was working well for me up until today, now about 500 runs in and all i have had drop really from tc87 is ik armor, gris helm and a blue dimensional shard and unearthed wand. Pretty pathetic lol.... but maybe just really bad luck.

No I didnt sorry. I thought people who care might notice the level of the terrorized zone. I was level 93. I don't know if it's true or not and this is something I need to talk about in a video but there is talk on the internet that if you are at least level 91 the TC87 items will roll 3 times instead of 1. There is also talk that it's no better than a regular level 85 area. My experience suggests that the former is the truth FOR SURE. Never found shit like this in the history of the game.

I am setting the date and time to 2/16/22 7AM EST to force Catacombs to be terrorized.
Jumping to P5 does not help nearly as much as bumping from P1 to P3. The higher player settings are better for experience but they slow kill time too much to justify it for mfing. P1 or p3 is usually best for mfing

@@clon8888 I am making a new video now and have done 751 TZ andy runs so far. No griffons yet but found 5 unique TC 87 items including my first ever Death's Web. I have found a LOT of uneathed wands from Andy so this was expected eventually. It will be in my next video. I'm planning to keep going until I find another Griffons

i gave this a try and in a few hours i found templars might and shadow dancers to check off my grail list. Definetly gona farm this area now
I have 423% magic find, I've found 3x soj, 10x mavina set diadem, maras, 2x arachs - but no griffons. Done about 1000 runs maybe more. What am I doing wrong?

Keep trying. If you read the comments there are a lot of success cases. One guy found 2 on back to back runs. I havent found a HR in lower kurast in over 1000 runs. Bad luck happens and then our human brains try to rationalize it. Thats why they build casinos lol

Tell me about it, I made a video a few years back doing lower kurast runs and I found a load of high runes, I went to make a second one and it was 3018 runs until I found another one!
Took me over 80 hours, thousands upon thousands of runs but I finally got one. 17/11 but a Griffs is a Griffs. Grats to everyone who got one within 10 hours, you have no idea how lucky you are 😅

I am playing offline. Offline terror zones are controlled by the time and date set on the computer. I just change the clock to control which zone is terrorized. If you look at the time in the top right corner its always between 7am and 8am.
I know this for a long time, its because Terror zones do increase her TC and also she doesnt drop any junk, making her best drop monster in game. Bosses with highest TC terrorized upgrade have even two rolls on tc87 items. Baal normaly has only one roll.

How did you find 3 griffons in 48h if you did 700 runs when Andy usually terrorzoned max 1 hour on a day and you cant run her more than 150 runs.
Single player. It's not repeatable on bnet but it's just to give people an idea
@blakesspace1986 Since then I discovered that you can abuse the system by changing the clock on your pc. Took me over 700 runs to find a griffon tho! But at least got a Mang songs

@@LordRJoker Its abusing but not cheating. You can have 5 hours of andy on one day instead of 5 hours of andy on 5 days. You farmed same time, 5 hours. Your chances to get a griffon is the same. But if you just create it with ighe than it takes 2seconds and 100% chance which is cheating. But honestly looking at my drops at only 700 andy runs its already felt like cheating eventho i did nothing liek that (literally woke up at 2am to play andy)

I found that exact 20/17 Wisp Projector online when I kicked an urn in the Stony Tomb level 2.
I’m not sure if this is related at all but I’ve been doing a bunch of 0% MF runs looking for bases. When the TZ for Tal Rasha’s tomb pops up I always find a significant amount more Berserker axes than any other zone, including 3 in a 15 minute span. Normally go days without seeing a white/ethereal BA but that place is my go to.
Berserker Axe are Tc87 (qlvl85), so mlvl must be 85+. Terror zones basically allow any mob to drop the BA.
Tombs higher density helps, more mobs more drops 😅

Idk if I can agree that it's the best for every single item in here that you say it is (Facets for example) without seeing the raw numbers across multiple people doing a large amount of runs such as this case. I'd more attribute it to extremely good RNG. For example, I've found several high runes across a mix of Cows and WSK (around 500 runs total). While both are great for HRs, I think it's debatable to call them the best considering CS, LK, and Trav also exist and are extremely good, and in CS' case, even better. That being said, if actual numbers are posted proving me wrong on this I'll gladly eat my words. Still, nice finds!
Ive done 2,000 terrorized Travincal runs since then. Definitely less facets than TZ Andy. Andy has higher odds of jewelry than anyone I think. She frequently drops 2 rings at once and many amulets as well. Terrorized gave her the best Maras odds in the game and I thought it was best for facets but yeah my first 1000 runs had the most facets by far. Bit of luck.
The thing is that you DONT say: it is SINGLE PLAYER and you set player SCALE to 3 (visible at 15:50). So this is NOT EVEN close comparable to BNet. This is a huge downer

How can you chose what terrorized zone to play?
If you change the time on your PC it changes the terror zone for single player only.
Hell Andy Terrorized is +5 levels from your char level. So, as long as you are a certain char level then +5 and then above the item level of a Griffon's then it can drop.
I haven't checked maxroll or silospen lately but I would imagine that they may not have factored in terrorized settings for drops which is extra programming.
+2 levels for standard monsters up to level 96
+ 4 for champs up to 98 and
+ 5 for uniques up to 99

how did you do 64 runs in one minute? I'm looking at your clock. From 7:19 AM to 7:20 AM you went from 150 runs to 214.
he said in another comment that setting the time to 7 am on a particular day is what's allowing him to consistently farm tz Andy. meaning his clock will always show some time between 7 and 8 am but isn't indicative of elapsed time

Not bugged. I just changed the time on my computer to force Catacombs to stay terrorized.

Never got a Griffons in 20 to drop and did this on the third time catacombs was TZ and Andy dropped one in 20 minutes. Definitely legit!

Hey! Imbue the white diadems at charsi iirc daidems even on low lvl alts they roll as item level 99s, and can be rerolled with 6 pskulls!
I was in a random party in a pub game doing Baal runs for an hour. Another guy kept killing TZ Catacombs and Andy, he dropped Mara + Griffon in that 1hour time...
I, for real, watch most videos in double speed, so it's a decent time for me to spend time on.
That’s pretty interesting about maxroll not having the griffons listed when terrorized. I know anything can drop with the right TZ level but I verified it’s not listed on maxroll. Weird….. I wonder what else isn’t listed.

Terror zones are new, I would assume the calculator just isnt updated for it. Anything at the terrorized level can drop it. As most other commentors said already. Still gg though, 3 griffons in a short time is awesome.
They didn't break the game, you modified time to force a zone. Might as well use hero editor at that point since its single player.
I hear you, I hope for people on battlenet I can at least give an idea of how their limited TZ Catacombs are valuable. Controlling the time alows me to properly test different TZs. Btw, terror zones is part of the drop calculator but I don't know what changes came to patch 2.6.

Maybe you're just absolutely lucky. I've been farming hell andy terror zone for literally weeks. Thousands of runs. I've found every items EXCEPT tyraels might and a griffons.

It isn't a "session", it is a collage of games played over a long time period, while manipulating his system clock to always have catacombs TZ
First time playing since tzs introduced and found mangs and almost perf CoA in a day im hooked on d2 again
I was just wondering why players 3 and not players 7-8 other than kill speed
Kill speed mainly. Going from p1 to p3 has a substantial decrease in nodrops but its minimal after p3. P1 and P3 are best for farming in most cases. Lower Kurast I do p7 because it matters more on super chests. Also my javazon does p7 cows because shes so fast. But 9 times out of 10 its better to be p1-p3 for loot. At P7 you are dealing with 400% monster life with maybe a 40% increase in loot. P3 would be closer to 30% increase in loot. Don't quote me on that haha. Its different everywhere I think because it depends on the base(P1) nodrop rate which varies from monster to monster.
P1 = 100% monster life
P3 = 200% monster life
P5 = 300% monster life
P7 = 400% monster life
The even numbers do not decrease no drop odds therefore do not result in more loot
In one game i find 1 cham 1 Ber and 2 ist. After 20-25 games 2 corona zakarum shield and 1 shako in the same game.
Funny I dropped a griffins yesterday in TZ aswell from a random trash mob in the tower 😂

i had a paladin that found 36 hoz on mephisto non terrorized in a ladder season.... it never hapened again after that so frequently.
I've done 3800 runs of andariel hell tz p8 offline mf300, gotten so so much loot its insane but not 1 griffins or soj lol. Did get 4 deaths webs, CoA and a Zod rune tho :D
I found easily 50+ facets too which is crazy to me
You need to learn what magic, rare, and socketed items to check. Leaving magic greater claws and possible eth rares and staff mod socket items everywhere.

i use 2/16/2022 7:00AM as my catacombs time/date. I should just post a schedule for everyone lol. I use the previous year because I have login issues which many people have that is circumvented by going back in time(people who have been banned lol). I can't play d2r with normal time because I was banned for botting offline(not cheating). So I need to change my time to play at all. Many people need to do this.
I admit the first few bans were for online use but I thought if I cleaned up my act I would be safe. NOPE lol. They watch offline too haha. This is why I only play offline now.
reg andy doesnt drop diadems but terrorized changes the aspects and allow any item to drop so the calculator is pretty much correct
The calculator has a check box for terrorized. It says even terrorized Andy doesnt drop griffons
Sunders and TZ definitely broke the game, this is one more example. I prefer SP solo gaming with P1 difficult all the time, this way I feel the original design. Love and watch all your videos though)
18:50 That Corona actually never wanted to be unique. Failed uniques can be only magic and rare items and it can happen if that item does not have a unique variant (colossus girdle eg) or bacaude on that tclvl that unique couldnt spawn.

Took me over 3k runs but the unique diadem finally popped up after like 10 set and 3 rare diadems
I found 2 in the last 4,000ish runs. Both are the worst roll on enemy lightning resist 😔. I did find 3 SOJs during those runs though 😁. First hardcore experience.
I just found my 3rd and it was ethereal😭. But then 2 runs later I found a Ber which took away the sting lol

on battlenet you can't get 24\d same terror zone, thats one thing, try to get 20 15 griffon, if this is that easy, or with perf defence to that, to get items on singlepleyer you can use editor, there are many items that you will never drop in game, which i even not ever see on trade portals :) and terror zones have diffrent monster level thats means if your character level is hi enougth monster in terror zones can drop enything.
this isn't close to the same thing as hero editor. this method is not altering the game code in any way. while unlikely that you drop a griffs in the one hour on bnet it still highlights how much better andy drops are than any other tz in the game by a mile

Let's be careful about throwing the term "this broke the game" around. You never know what they'll do to "fix" it (when it's really not broken). If you want to cheese the game on PC offline there is always a way. Heck, just hero edit yourself 10 Griffons. If you want to cheat when it doesn't affect anyone else, go for it. I'm on the other hand grailing on Xbox and I have no way of manipulating time, so I don't want to see her drop table nerfed or something similar when it's one of the events I look forward to every day. I get that this is great clickbait material though, no hate!

Dropped sacred armors, diadems and unearthed wand all the time a couple of days ago.

Thats what myself and someone else thought but then someone said its not nerfed. I dont think its possible to nerf it without a new patch.
I think my terrorized Andy must be level 95-96. I got a brief window to do about 20 runs when hers cycled in and I got 2 facets, a stormy and a few other decent items. I can see the potential here.
My first 3,000 runs I found 3 griffons. I recently did another 3,000 runs and found 1 griffons at the end and I found vex, ber, jah, zod(first zod ever). I didnt find a single HR my first 3,000 runs however. I got back to back shadow dancers and many other tc87 uniques. Its the best place for Maras and Arachnid mesh. I found numerous of each. It's still a hot spot. I think its probably the best place for rainbow facets, even better than travincal. I think when you are lvl 91+ is when the tc87's roll more than once drastically increasing drop odds.
