Thanks Tom for commenting. With Christmas coming up, this would be a good project to try. Challenging but not to complicated. Happy turning my friend.

Beautiful ornament. I hope next year I can get into the challenge. Keep up the good work and stay safe.

Wish I could but I am working seven days a week 12 hours a day and I have three boxes I still have to make for my granddaughters for Xmas. I have about an hour a night I can work on them. I can't wait to retire March 31st so I can really start making shavins. Have a Happy Holiday season. Later.

Yeah, I know. I am in Holiday mode also and still have to work. I look forward to seeing your ornament next year. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

"May not rip your finger off, but probably wouldn't be a good thing" HAHAHAH!!! That caught me off guard and made me actually laugh! Another great video, thanks Stephen!

Just as a Thought for ya Redheart is a Very Red wood and would work well on your ornaments. Not sure what would be green enough for you though.

Thank you Kerry for commenting. Using the natural color of wood would definitely be the way to go. I have not heard of Redheart. Thanks for the tip and for supporting my channel.

Hey Steve was wondering if you could make a video or send me the link to Eric Anderson's friction polish ingredients I looked threw his channel and could not find it just a video were he said what it was made from while he put it on his project thanks hope you and your family have a happy and safe holiday and new year.

Sorry Michael. I had a link on this video to his friction polish. However, he removed the video from the tube. Here is the recipe though. 50/50 mixture of Clear Shellac and Butcher Block Finish/Conditioner. Then add a little denatured alcohol to thin it with. That is it. Just make sure the Butcher Block Conditioner contains mineral oil and bees wax (or carnuba wax). Hope this helps and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours also.

Love your videos but that is one loud grizzly lathe. Not complaining just commenting.
