Yup. And its reminiscent of 1980 when Arctic Enterprises went bankrupt and investors a few years later brought Acrtic Cat back as Arctco. At about the same time Textron about sunk polaris when they owned them. Investors bought Polaris back from Textron and saved it.

I live in Thief River Falls and we are certainly aware of Textron potentially selling Arctic Cat. Most of the 500 plus employees will be permanently let go from the company in early 2025. It's not a good situation.

Back in the 1990s, when I was a teenager, I loved snowmobiling. We used to get a lot of snow back then. These days, snowmobiles are way too expensive for how little use you get out of them. Times are changing, markets are shifting, and everyone's wallets are stretched thin.

Arctic cat is getting what they deserve. I have a 2018 ZR8000. Very poor communication and lots of recalls make it a near useless sled. As a mater of fact it's been sitting at the dealer for 3 weeks waiting to get it's latest recall done. Bought a new Ski Doo and had to decide which of our two Arctic Cats is staying. The 2002 ZL550 won. Can't wait to get the ZR8000 back from the dealer so I can list it for sale!

    Hmm maybe drop the price.
Can you imagine if they were 5k cheaper than doo & poo ?
Nah what was I thinking ..let's make a new sled not find and fix the bugs. Charge the same as other manufacturers.and then complain noone is buying your kittens and how your gonna lay off and shut down lol I feel bad for all who bought a new cat ...
    Good luck with warranty work!

Arctic cat starting to work like the oilfield. Cut production to increase demand, thus increasing the price

Unfortunately such a historic company won’t rebound with sleds, especially with recent lousy winters and low sales. Hopefully they can be bought out and continue with ATV and side by sides. Sucks for the devoted employees.

Start lowering the over inflated prices and guess what people will magicly start to buy your product just like that.Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Cat and Polaris both have went to producing junk imo. They have also pushed the market into expensive new tech where having navigation is the key feature efi engines in a snowmobile is the dumbest idea i ever heard why ? Having 30 sensors feeding off each other in 40 below temps is stupid. The snowmobile market killed itself imo. I bought a brand new 2003 rev 800ho back in 2003 as a left over paid 6k out the door same sled today is 15k all day and the machine's are built like crap. Exposed wire harnesses all over. Junk parts wire harnesses are clearly marked MADE IN CHINA thought Polaris was all USA def not the case. I work on all brands and skidoo is the only brand who uses common sense in the engineering and they also use better quality parts vs Polaris and cat
