I have not watch this drama in its entirety, only on youtube and skipping many episodes, due to incomplete episode list). But my late mom loved this drama. I wasnt even born yet when this drama was first broadcasted in Malaysia, but my older brother told me she would cry at many emotional scenes of the drama. I guess bcoz of the hardships she had to endure as a child back then (living in poverty) the drama touched her heart so much. No more suffering, my mother. Rest in peace.

おしんには南米アンデスの民族音楽の楽器とリズム、フレーズがいくつも使われています。笛の音はアンデスのケーナ、主旋律を奏でる金属打楽器音はダルシマーという古代の中東付近で生まれて世界中に広まった楽器です。作曲した坂田晃一さんはおしんの主題歌を頼まれる前に母をたずねて三千里の主題歌を依頼され、その時にアルゼンチンからアンデス山脈近くまで旅をするという物語を前提に曲の前半をアルゼンチンでよく使われるミロンガというリズムに、後半はアンデスのカルネバリートという音楽を元に作っています。おしんはその時の経験を活かした音楽になっています。
そうなんですね。ストーリーだけでなくこのオープニング音楽も世界に誇る曲だとは思っていましたがそういう背景があるのですね。ありがとうございます。
