This, in my opinion, was such a great video, for so many reasons - but mainly because it covers the basic topics of any first conversation you will have in Russian. I will probably watch this video several more times, write down the phrases, and memorize them word for word. Also, I've seen some comments about the speed of the conversation. My two cents, as we say: as long as it presented with subtitles, or in this case with a slower version as well, it is actually very helpful and instructive to listen to Russian and particularly Russian *conversation* at natural speed. It can be frustrating and daunting - but's it's also very rewarding when you begin to follow faster conversations. Please please please do some more of these videos from time to time )))

Thank you for your feedback! I´ll consider making more videos like this one in the future. Looks like many people found this video format useful.

Holy *** - although I understood the gist of the conversations, there were a lot of words used a) in ways I wouldn't have thought, b) new words for things I knew how to say. And Russian is spoken at such a cracking speed. I don't think I will ever get there. Thanks to you both - an excellent video!!

Yeah it turned out to be way faster that we expected. I'm sure you'll get there! It just takes time to train your ear to get used to fast Russian. Keep practicing, you can do this!

Hi, just wanted to say that I recently found your channel and it's truly helpful! This is high quality material, as it's hard to find natural sounding conversations with subs. Please do more of these! And of course the rest of your work is equally amazing. We are all very thankful for your effort!

Great job! I'm very pleased with the speed of the video, as it's usually very difficult to find conversations in real-speed Russian. Keep up the good work!

Very good, just too fast, I understand 90% when slow, but when spoken in real time almost nothing.

Same here 🤣 have to get use too because when you're native russian speaker, you can't help it.

Мы тоже ничего не понимаем, когда слышим быстрый английский. Особенно, когда говорят носители. Они проглатывают окончания и речь превращается в кашу.

    Мне нравится ето видео.
I'm learning the Russian grammar now, but I am stuck because I cannot get an opportunity to put into practice what I study.
Going through the dialigue like this one helps me to get to know how thd grammar works in conversation 👍️
    Большое спасибо из Японии.

Great conversational examples, thanks to both Kristina and Anna! But one quick English correction: we "make smalltalk", not "a small talk", not "small talks". It's an idiomatic expression that can only be used in the singular form without any article. But don't take this as criticism! Your English is so much better than my Russian, and I really like your channel(s).

девушки очень быстро, как для моих учеников, они не уловят. Если это конечно не продвинутые learners. Кристина, Вы просто молодец! Вас нашли мои ученики и мы используем russian slow reading. Спасибо и удачи! Мы на Вас подписаны. Очень основательные видео у Вас.

Dialog videos like this are very helpful. but for me it is too fast. It must not be extra slow, but I guess for lots of viewers just 80% of the speed would be better. Besides, the volume is a bit low.

I think you should classify the video as Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced(A1, A2, B1, B2, C1), that way new viewers will find your videos more easily.

Me encantan estas conversaciones, solo que fueron demasiado rapidas. Sugerio que hablen de frente a la camara, porque asi como estan, se pierden muchos sonidos, y no se entiende nada. Gracias.

If your aim is to teach the Russian language, 1: speak slower, 2: use subtitles 3: translate
    Thank you

Hello Kristina. I have studied vocabulary and grammar for a long time. But I am weak in my listening skills. A lot of material bores me because it is too easy. Other material goes too fast. I need to find "just the right level" and I think your videos are ideal for me. Thanks very much, regards Nick from California.

    • @BoostYourRussian
      @BoostYourRussian  5 лет назад

You´re welcome Nick! In this video, me and Anna talk pretty fast, so probably it´s not the best option if you´re still weak in listening skills. I think other videos on my channel where I read in slow Russian may fit your needs better for now.

very good sentences but very bad recording and diction. It needs more stressed and emphatic to be understood. And subtitles are not unreadable.
