      I was always looking for some tips on making the “reeko sound” and your so damn close to that! Pain is that I have to get the overstayer hahaha

      @@KareemElMorr Ah I've been chasing that Pole Group sound for a while as well. Can't say I'm quite there, but getting the Overstayer and understanding it has been a massive help. I know I'm always banging on about it, and I know it's a super expensive (and hard to get...) box so sometimes I'm a bit uncomfortable saying how great it is...but yeah... it's invaluable.

      @@LucasMarchal no don’t be sorry, had a crush on the overstayer before so it’s not your fault ; ) your videos just made me realise even more that it won’t be a bad investment

    Super interesting! Every time I see new types of things based off where I am in my learning. I love how you create simple melody/hooks that are kind of simple but that get interesting with some modulations. Hope you keep showing those. Take-away of today: I think it’s time I figure out how slewing works!

      Thank you ! Yes it took me a while too to understand or get into slewing but then you realise ... oh it's how they made "that" sound :)

    I like how you make simple melodic hook lines. A smoothly Pad sound below an it gets mystic

    Great walkthrough thanks and amazing sound . I love the fact that it is simple in substance but very lively with all the small touches you add to the signal . I was wondering why you have both the MOTU and the RME . I'd imagine you route the alpha base and modular outputs to the motu but then what do you use the UC for ?

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  2 года назад +1

      Thank you ! The pedals/outboard (eq etc..) all are set up as external FX in Live so that eats up a lot of inputs.

  • @modezart2296
    @modezart2296 2 года назад +1

    did you ever try multritrack and take care of signlas dry/wet make busses use fancy plug ins... the overstayer sounds not to transparent and i feel like treating the single tracks with some soundtoys, fabfilter and good saturation will still kick a bit more?

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  2 года назад

      I do both actually. I use plug ins on individual tracks most of the time. Overstayer on bus and/or master

  • @peamarte

    Great sound as usual :) a question about routing, here the final mix is routed by ableton directly to two stereo channels and then to the outboard?

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  2 года назад +2

      Thanks ! It's and external instrument insert in ableton which you can put everywhere, on an individual channel or on the master like here. so yes one stereo output to the Elysia boxes and one to the Overstayer, both with stereo returns, recorded in one track in Live.

      The label is called Data Roaming Records. And yes it's on beatport, like the previous releases. I've added the beatport link in the description ;)
