I’ve watched your channel for a couple of years now and I’ve never felt the need to comment, just enjoy the content. But watching you cross over your tape to mark your measurement and struggle with seeing the line on your power saw, it reminded me of the curse of the “left handers”. I obviously fall into the same category. Don’t wait, like I did, buy a left handed power saw now. I’m 62, and I bought mine five years ago, way after I was out of the “trades”. Totally regretted not getting one sooner. Should have bought one years ago. It’s just one of many things that we left handers have to deal with. Great video.
Hey there Roger! Yeah definitely a right-handed world. I'm fortunate that I've pretty well taught myself to use both hands when it comes to building (just not writing). I've used worm drive saws when building houses and that but don't own one myself. I actually prefer the traditional circular saw because I can see the cut line real easy without having to look over the saw. What saw do you like using?
Nice picnic table. Around here it could be used 2 times a year, a week in April and a week in November. Otherwise the mosquitos and heat would be making you miserable in the summer and the rain would do the same in winter. Good vid. Thanks.
Hey there Sandy! Great video and awesome project! Super enjoyed tagging along and watching you work on this one! Love the size of the new table, very well done! As always, I appreciate stopping by your channel and seeing what you’re up to every week! Fall is in the air and around the corner my friend! Hope alls well with the family! Take care, cheers! Andrew from NB :)
Afternoon here in Texas. I like your extended Pirates' picnic table. Thanks for sharing your creative expertise. Looking forward to seeing it in place and finished. Blessings to you and your family. Stay safe, strong, healthy and successful in Jesus's Name. ☝🙏🙌💪👊
WOW! That is a beast of a picnic table. Great job. Looks fantastic and I’m sure the little pirates will enjoy planning and scheming while sitting around it!
From bark to beautiful 👍 really nice build Sandy. See you at boonville while I was chatting with Allen family. Ever did see you again to say hello. Perhaps next year
Ahoy Captain Sandy! Yer did a fantastic build for the crew to sit and partake of vittles after a long days sailing. Would you be able to use Shou Sugi Ban to help preserve the wood.. it would look like a Pirate's table from old ships mess hall. Smooth Sailing Captain!
Hello Sandy. I was thinking the table was 12 feet long until you told us. Videos can tend to make things look larger sometimes. I am guessing that 16 - 20 people can fit on that table. It is a nice-looking table and will look better when you are finished. I hope you show us when you move it to its location. Have good days!
good morning Sandy that is a family picnic table for sure came out good it is always nice to do thing with your own wood if you would have to buy all the lumber it would become to expensive to do a lot of things i am late with my comment on this one being busy docs and surgery but back home now still got to take it easy for a couple of week but i will be back at it soon have a great day
Howdy Sandy- that’s a nice picnic table. I understand the feeling of taking trees from your own land and sawing it, then turning it into something useful. It’s a great feeling of satisfaction. Take care and God bless
We were at a get together last year and three of us bailed from the picnic table at the same time. Poor guy across from us didn't fair so well. Down went Mahginty. That won't happen with your table. 👍
Funny, I was wondering the other day about the status of the Pirate Ship. It looks that it's 'sailing the high seas.' That was a cool project and I enjoyed following along as you built it. A great addition to the park. I think the people in your community are lucky to have you as a neighbor, Sandy............
Great job. Another testament to the benefit of having our mills. Lumber on hand when you need it. The projects are always bouncing around our brains because of it too
Picnic table more like buffet table...lol 😂. Nice work!!
A feast is inbound!
That thing is epic!
Hey there! Hope all is well with you! Thanks for checking out the picnic table
Nice job. Thanks for your videos!

Maybe a covered gazebo for the pirates to run into in a rain burst. The picnic table turned out very nice. Sandy built.
I like that idea! I think that would be a great addition
That massive picnic table is going to be an adventure getting it to it's destination. Do a shorts video on that. 🤣
Hahah I will

Now that's a neat idea John! I never thought about that but this may be something worth looking into for me. Thanks very much

Sure will get the whole crew sitting in one place!
awesome job ! that amusement park you have there will make you famous with the neighbours kids !
Hey there Paul! It sure is evolving out there at the pirate ship. Before I know it I"ll be building a small roller coaster ....hmmm wait a minute
Sandy, you built a fantastic picnic table, another great Video, good job Sir.
Thanks TJ! Always great to hear from you!
Beauty table bro! That might actually sit all 23 of my grandkids!
It sure has some serious space on it haha
Why don't to make a pull rope for your flag. Only one more ladder climb for a while. Hopefully 😅
I don't have any hardware to make that work but for the future it may be a good idea for me
good morning Sandy that is a family picnic table for sure came out good it is always nice to do thing with your own wood if you would have to buy all the lumber it would become to expensive to do a lot of things i am late with my comment on this one being busy docs and surgery but back home now still got to take it easy for a couple of week but i will be back at it soon have a great day
The expense sure is something that I forget about. This table would be a few hundred dollars in lumber I’d imagine
how bout building a mudshed to chill out in and keep a heater and prculator in it skinned with your first cuts?
Now you're talking! I may just have to do that. Big project announcement coming up in not too long from now Fred
Holy crap that's a big table!
My invite to the bbq must've got lost in the mail 😂
It's probably still out there with Canada Post lol
Very good table Sandy. Nice work.
Thank you!
What was the angle for the legs that go on the ground. Thankd
I cut them at 30 degrees with the mitre saw
Nice model Sir
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for that Robert!
How about building a eight side gazebo for over the table
Now that’s a good idea!
Nice big table there eh! Thanks for sharing
Thank you! It's a big one!
RRRRRRRAH matie Good to see the pirate ship again.
She be sailing the high seas once again!
Howdy Sandy- that’s a nice picnic table. I understand the feeling of taking trees from your own land and sawing it, then turning it into something useful. It’s a great feeling of satisfaction. Take care and God bless
It's satisfying for sure
I see 3 sawing with sandy accounts on TT, which one is yours?
It’s this one

Thanks Ken! I’m not a fan of sanding so hopefully that doesn’t take too long
Sandy I don’t know if you said it or not before but do you and your wife have children? Sure looks like you want some.
Hey Rex. Thanks for coming along for the video. I normally play my cards close for some topics
Nice video. But you might want to sharpen you Dewalt saw 😊
You should get yourself a new Dewalt Lazer sliding compound saw 😊
@@sawingwithsandy I understand that no worries brother

Nice build Sandy! Thanks for bringing us along. Take care & stay safe.
Hey Doug! I appreciate you coming along for the videos. Thank you for that
Sandy, why aren't there warnings for listeners to turn off their volume or wear earplugs because machinery will be used? LOL
lol
Great job. Another testament to the benefit of having our mills. Lumber on hand when you need it. The projects are always bouncing around our brains because of it too
That's one of the best parts of the mills for sure. I wouldn't know what lumber even costs anymore
The picnic table turned out really nice, and once sanded and sealed it should be great for family gatherings for years to come.
Thank you Wallace! I’m really happy with how things turned out
Glad you have equipment to carry that beast around.
As always, thanks for sharing and have a week.
It sure would be a hefty lift I"m guessing
