Momota was gifted with a footwork of a master, that keeps him from being tired out like other players (he’s always 1 step ahead of top class players). He also has deadly deceptive drop shots which usually works the opponent from side to side. If u have never played badminton u wouldn’t know how tired it can be defending a good drop shot, even 10 times more exhausted than defending a smash.

Gifted? I would say he worked hard as hell to develop his footwork. Blood, sweat, and tears behind that amazing movement.

no comments about gifted footwork but I definitely agree with defending drop shots, so exhausted, burning your legs out

Best timing to hit the shuttle during jump smash is right after you’ve reached your max vertical and when you are about to go down. This technique allows you to have extra power when gravity pulls you down. 🏸🤾🏼

Surprising that a player from this caliber doesn't clear to baseline. It's like smashing from mid court.

An excellent defensive player with explosive reflexes and untiring stamina.
He clearly plays with opponents head , here a causal attitude while playing is a simply strategy to make the opponent feel less worthy and eventually lose the hope to win
