- A quick follow up to my Xbox 360 Collecting Iceberg video. I realised, the Kinect camera and its games were only skimmed over before, So that needed rectifying.
You may be surprised to learn that some of these games can command a good price and are getting tougher to track down for your collection.

Pleased to see you mention 'Rise of Nightmares' I picked this up months ago for £1 after re-purchasing a 360, I'm yet to play it, the 360 came with Kinect but with other console cameras are currently in use [PS3/4] so I'm struggling for space for it. Great rundown on the Kinect titles.
@@MicroBanshee it's definitely one of the games that is a must own for the system. The biggest issue for the kinect is just the amount of floor space you need. There is an attachment which lowers it but I've never given it a go to see how well it works. I'll say I'm the same with other console cameras taking up space right now. Currently the playstation camera sits where the kinect would have to, but it's just used more.

Funnily enough the only kinect game ive ever played is just dance... don't ask.

Where is the live gameplay????? We really needed a clip of you playing just dance or let's cheer... just so we can see how kinect works! Overall I found Kinect to be terrible compared to the wii. You needed a huge amount of space and light and even then it was unreliable. I have almost all the fitness games, and couldn't find one I liked. There is nothing more frustrating than Kinect mis-counting your exercises. You smash the target but Kinect tells you that you are a useless failure and need to try harder. I am normally a calm gamer, but when you are physically exhausted I found myself flying into gamer rage with these fitness games when they could not count properly. I don't think I have ever finished a kinect game. Overall I would never recommend Kinect but as you can find it for a couple of quid, I guess that 360 gamers might as well pick it up. Ignoring the dance games,. for me Kinect Sports had the most reliable motion sensing and is probably the best of a very bad bunch. I would take the 360 and wii on group meetups and people would very quickly ask for the 360 to be turned off and the wii plugged in instead. For me the Kinect was the start of the accountants taking over the xbox business. People in suits chasing high profit margins & not investing in expensive quality exclusives anymore. It was a sad time for xbox fans that only got worse with the release of the xbox one. Great video, I certainly learnt a thing or two.
I need to make sure I've got the outfit down before I record myself playing some Let's Cheer. The fitness one i put the most time into was your shape, but it didnt really feel like it was doing a lot. Got more of a workout from Kinect Adventures. You would think that they wouldn't have skipped over the fact that tracking something like health and fitness needs to be somewhat accurate. I will still say though that they were more responsive than a large portion of the library, but thats not being used as a positive haha.
I dont think I've finished one either, I usually end up doing my feet in jumping about then never go back to them. Its just too much of a faff to make space each time. I'm not a big fan of the Wii overall, but I would 100% be asking to get that on instead. I know what you mean about the suits taking over, it was just like motion was the thing that was in fashion, and they went make this thing to appease the investors, it will sell no matter what kinda state its in. Get Peter Molyneux to lie about some tech demos too.

RiseOfNightmares & SteelBattalion are pribably the only 2 I would like to fling in my Xbox. And luckily I have em both. But I am just knackered thinking about it lol
I didn't think this was going to get anyone to run out and play one haha. I'd actually play the thing more though if it just didn't require so much room. Its a bit of fun in 2 player.
For some strange reason I fancy playing kinect adventures now 😂 we played that quite abit when we got it..... the other games..... no no no no 😂
I genuinely enjoy kinect adventures, but cant be bothered to make the space to play it. Was a blast in 2 player with the gf but really dont have the room for that these days
Marvel Avengers is ok-ish, good fun.
Microsoft should of invested more in the tec on the kinect to get it right for release on xbox one and added a VR headset to work with it. When you play and see these games in action its as though they really want to be a vr experience.
I do have the avengers game will have to give it a go. Yeah if they coupled the capabilities of the kinect with a VR headset they could be onto a winner

Its ok, It's normal to forget the Kinect ever existed. From a collecting standpoint though I do think it may become collectible as other add on systems have. Yeah that was a little bit on the suspect side.
The Kinect had potential but wasn’t used correctly and instead it seemed to be shovelware style games sadly.
Yeah there was too many low effort games, It could have been something great, maybe if they had tried to aim for slower paced games too.

So fruit ninja is the best Kinect game
Its definitely one of the best If I wasnt sticking to physical releases it would have got a mention... I could have shoehorned in that it came as a download with The Gunstringer I guess.

Cheers, The Kinect is one that doesn't get much attention.. It's also odd how difficult some of these can be to find, well for a good price anyway
