I took a couple of Pat Wyse clinics at Dan Taylors place Madden Alberta back in the eighties got the book and had a balance ride saddle made for me and my horse Shikos Knight still using the saddle ,
I still have my husbands Monte Forman saddle, from the 1950s. Not sure if it is a balanced ride or a Fallis saddle, How do I check? I am wanting to evaluate its worth and sell it, if possible. My husband, Paul Johannesen passed away in 2008, I think it is time to start letting go of some of Paul's possessions, and move on with my life. He had me take riding lessons with him, to learn English style riding. He was a remarkable man: as a boy, he said that he delivered newspapers on a neighbor's horse. The neighbor let my husband do this so that his horse would get the exercise he felt that the horse needed. I remarried in 2019, but still remember the days I rode horses with him. He bred his horses and some of the colts became racing horses. I tried to sell the saddle several years ago, then could not get myself to part with it. I think I am finally ready to let go of it. I will look up how to measure the size as well, I know that makes a difference on who will buy it.
Was taught Monte's way of riding when I was young and first married. Still have saddle in top condition from 1974...

Fallis Saddlery was out there at Fondis for a long time, I never did have one of their saddles, but have seen them. .
Emerald, I teach every new rider the one rein stop before we take the first step. That's not what this video was about. Did you watch it?
I Really enjoy your channel, it's informative, fun and has a variety of different information. Thank you
